  1. When i had a clogged pilot jet on my yz250, it started and ran only with the choke on. It made it seem like it was electrical. I ended up swapping all sorts of parts out just to have a free fix. On a side note, i hope the guy who stole my 250 gets his pecker caught in the chain as his face slams against a wall. On my banshee years ago, the pickup gap was too big and causes firing under load issues after the bike warmed up. Larry's post on the last page is a wealth of knowledge. The bike having two carbs lets you eliminate carb issues by swapping sides like the other guy said.
  2. I'd factor in all cost going 4mil with your current juggs then look at what a drive line or a serval 4mil set up cost
  3. You just sold your 10mil serval. I don't believe it.
  4. So you are having a super serval built?
  5. I just got back from riding my 521 serval for the first time in nearly two months due to rain. I had a great time. That's all the input i have on this super serval discussion.
  6. It really depends on tire size and what you like. My super serval makes a ton of power but the 15/41 gearing along with the 22" tires make for very long and fast(mph) gears. The +6 i have sucks for wheelies and handling. Id try whatever gearing yo have and go from there.
  7. Build yourself a leak down tester too for when you reassemble for new engine mods in the future.
  8. My point was I just played with tires and gearing so it worked how I wanted
  9. When I drag race my bike, I ran 15/14 and launches in 1st. I set it up to launch in 1st due to my n-down 1-5 override. Worked fine. I did have to Rev It to hell to brake loose the pro wedges but it worked. If you can launch in second with 14/43, it makes me wonder if you have a jetting issue That it isn't making power
  10. I'd get cheap used carbs. Spend money on suspension.
  11. Serval for play and cub for drag racing are the two most common. You can search the Dyno section to see what kinda power they make on different strokes, bores and set ups. You can then call a builder to see which would be best for you if you are like me and don't understand how power curves translate to seat of pants. Or ask on the Facebook hq group. People will probably spoon feed you info there. Hopefully it's correct.
  12. Anyone else using these on a banshee? And can compared to regular pwk's tuned correctly.
  13. Bingo^ And since my dirt bike was stolen, I quit following their progress once they were released.
  14. I need a to read up then^ But are they adding 10% like the other guy said? Or just easier tuning?
  15. I'm glad he didn't mention I could go bigger. It took me way too long to finish a 521. But the second I hit the throttle years later, it was worth it!
  16. From what I've read here and other places, the Smart carbs are a gimmick. Snake oil is an old term that just means something that's a lie, fraud, doesn't do what it is advertised to do etc. I'm going to keep my bike too PP. I still need to get another dirt bike to replace my old one. I thought about selling my old truck as well many time but u can't afford anything that it would take for me to upgrade. 600rwhp wasnt cheap and I'd have to surpass that by a lot.
  17. If smart carbs worked well, everyone would be using them here As for OP using snake oil for 10% more power, I vote he waits until is putting down 100% of the power down first. You sold your 521 serval pp? I remember you had it for sale for a steal
  18. Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. Out of that list, I didn't know that cranks larger than 10mils are custom made and cost more. Good to know.
  19. Custom stuff expensive? In my nearly 7 years in a machine shop, I wouldn't of guessed. I can tell you I don't know at all what custom banshee engines take. That's why I'm asking. So go ahead and answer my question about after the one of cylinders, what's left. If you don't know like the rest of us, just say you don't know.
  20. After we can pass the one of cylinders getting made, is that it for unusual stuff? I guess big bore shearers, snipers, cpis can work fine so exhaust is covered although may not be ideal. I don't mean a chassis to handle it, just engine and Trans. I'm just dreaming out loud. A 4mil serval would be more than enough for me.
  21. ^Go ahead and list what differences in cost to go bigger than 521. All I can think of is possible billet cases.
