There is a loophole... You can powdercoat the stock a-arms, you just have to use lamps to cure them vs. an oven. Contact koatik on here, he has done it before.

Only problems Ive ever heard of with methanol in the cold if freezing shit up. I know bigred had a hell of a time trying to tune his 4mil last year when it was in the 30s in rock springs.

I won an auction on ebay that is a CFM ebay auction. Same phone number and paypal info as the CFM on here. He will no longer return my ebay messages or anything so I was just coming here to see what everybody elses experiences has been with him. I am fully aware CFM will read this post, and hopefully he will send my swinger out after seeing that I am extemley unhappy on here, as well as ebay. I ran a +8 with the stock shock and never had a problem. Know Rippen runs a +6 with the stock shock too and has never had a problem that I know of. I dont think they put much more strain on the chain as long as you dont jump real high on them.

Yeah, I finally just shimmed the hell out of them so they would clear the head.

Get a pingel valve and that will take care of it. I doubt your bike would, but you can still suck your bowls dry with a pump, my 10 mil will suck the bowls dry with the stock bowls on my 40mm carbs without the oversize bowls on long runs. A pingel valve is a lot easier then drilling the cylinder for a pump too.

I had two different sets and they both made me shim out like that. I think the set I sold you were worse then the second set I had though. I had about an inch and a half spacer to clear my cub cylinder with the pipes I sold you.

Yup, no airbox with shearers. What size carbs are you running? Just get ready for war getting everything to fit right. Shearers fit like shit.

I never liked my 450 arms on my 4mil. Just never seemed to sit quite right for me.

1.6- Is the 700 you are ridng a SE or not? The SEs have better suspension the a YFZ so thats not really a downfall of the 700s. Comprared to stock banshee suspension, the 700 is better hands down.

I agree with that post. They are no slouches by anymeans and have TONS of potential. After the piston I put in today, and when my throttle body gets back from KDS, its going to take a pretty fast bike to beat it. Biggest thing I notice about racing raptors, is they come out of the hole so hard, that it makes them very hard to run down. I am just glad I am foutunate enough to have both the raptor and a banshee, so I can ride the fence on the vs. threads. Ive done enough riding on both machines, I know what kind of raptor it takes to beat a good banshee and visa versa.

Cut em off the harness.... Where I dont run headlights, taillight I cut all that crap off the harness... Cleans it up a lot.

You can unplug all the electrical connections. Throttle, clutch, little black box under left front fender, and both connections under the gas tank. Get some 600-800 grit sand paper and get the burr out of the opposite wall of the carb. Next time put an old broom handle or something in there so you dont hit the other side. I would also take your carb bowls off and clean your carbs really well after you sand, to get any shavings out of there.

My 4 mil motor did the same thing one time with yamabond. Just split the cases again,clean the case halves with carb/ brake clean, and put em back together. I think I must have gotten something on the halves where they meet up and the yamabond just didnt adhear to it very well. Id bet your did the same. Just my 2cents.

About 1500 bucks and you can beat one. With me riding mikes 770 on alcohol, it will beat a couple ported 421 cubs on alky. After next weekend I would imagine mine will be right there with the throttle body being bored, and the new high comp piston, and good dyno tune. Should make right around 62 horse.

It was a couple other fellas that were all pissed off, jameys too cool of a guy to get pissed over racing. Like he said, he knows his bike is set up tp climb and thats that. Anybody that beats Rippen racing should try to follow him up the root jungle... then we would see who was laughing. And like jamey said, I have an unfair advantage because I MIGHT weight 140 soaking wet. lol
