  1. Hello. I'm in need of an new exhaust. destroyed my shi@#y DG system(finally) and was thinking of getting the DMC Alian duel system, not the two into one muffler style. I don't have too much money to work with at this time and it is my price range. What I would like to know is anyone has this setup and how they like it. If anyone knows of any other system for around $500 with spark arresters PLEASE let me know thanks. I'm looking for more of a topend pipe.

    STOCK HEAD

i have one $30 and i live in bancroft 20 minutes away
  3. yes the shee has a power advantage, but, it also has weight disadvantage. get someone that can ride a dirtbike who is lightweight against a quad that has weight plus a rider and you bring them closer to speed. a bike is atleast 150 lbs lighter than shee. I think i'm rambling on
  4. do a plug check or change to new plugs than run it. check the plugs color. sounds to me the mains are a bit big. a plug chop will let you know if that is the problem. what mix ratio are you running? you may be running rich on the oil.have you done a pressure test on the motor after the rebuild? that will tell you if you have any leaks. just brain storming.
  5. I use reed spacers and run v-force3. when I ran my stock carbs without the spacers i got the lightswitch affect, throttle on throttle off. with the spacers it reduces that effect. now i run 34mm pj carbs with the spacers and reeds with billit intakes. I ported the cages to the intakes and what a hellava ride. I don't run a balance tube or boost bottle either and it runs like a bat out of hell. whatever you decide on doing is your dicision. but if you do decide to use your spacers you will need to grind them to fit around the reed cage.my 2 cents
  6. in my own opinion dump the stock lock nut and replace them with the LSR locknut. you will be much happier
  7. this seems to be a heated subject. I have had my radiator and coolant tank off many times. There is only one line coming off the radiator to the over-flow tank. the other line from the over-flow tank goes along the frame following the trans vent hose up along the steering stem and down the front down tube dumping onto the exhaust. I'm not going to get into the argument of wether or not the tank sucks it back in or not. All that I know is I have over-heated many times and emptied the tank. My radiator never seemed to loose a significant amount of fluid even when the over-flow tank was empty and coolant spilling onto the exhaust. I have found that if you overfill the the over-flow tank you will loose the the extra fluid out the dump tube onto the exhaust which is a waste. that is my 2 cents. and I also want to move my tank to the front of my bike. If Yamaha designed the system like this, not a recuirulating system just a catch can, than it was probably the E.P.A that made them put the tank on in the first place as to not contaminate the enviroment. Again my 2 cents
  8. I pulled away from an 18 year old on a cr125. He got me on take off and he had a bald rear tire but I still got him on top. I did the same to a guy on an Kxf 250, but not as easly.
  9. check the compression on both cylinders. if there is more than a ten pound differance, youll need a top end. pressure test to make sure no seal is bad. hope you didn't hang a piston ring up on the port work. an air leak could cause a backfire or too much timing if you have an adjustable timing plate.
  10. I live here in Michigan and like scuba147 says, it's hit or miss. My buddies and I hit it as much as possible throughout the year from early spring to late fall. Coming up in 07, DNR is doing major changes in the park that will make the trip almost a waste of time as far as I am concered. They already made a 25 mph speed zone along the beach, which I can understand during the busy season. Now they are going to be posting a 35 mph speed limit throughout the dunes plus you wont be able to tow any vehicles to and into the dunes because of local complaints. I know almost all sport quads do not have speedometers so if you get pulled over and ticketed for speeding, it's the DNRs word against yours. Just thought I would pass that on
  11. just wondering if anyone was willing to trade a 4 mill long rod crank for my stock crank? doesn't hurt to ask.
  12. do you still have the pipe? I have a set of shocks(front) off my 05 I'm not using
