  1. Yeah dude tell me about it. The only tennis shoes I can buy are new balance and they are comfterble and all but the look is so plain and boring. I like alot of the new nikes and rebox and stuff they have out there now but they will not fit me. I also have to special order my steel toe work boots off the internet usualy boot barn and last time it took 5 times of trying them on and returning them for me to finaly get them to rite fit. I have 2 weedings to go too well 1 now so I had to buy a pair of dress shoes to go with my already expensive suite. I was looking to spend 150 bucks at the most NOPE 275 bones for Bostonians that finaly fit after trying on at least a dozen pair. That was the cheapest they had for my size foot. Do you understand how trick I could have my Banshee. I could have costum Axis suspention for what I spend in shoes a year. 4 to 5 pair of tennis shoes a year. I ware them out as quick as I buy them. Ide be happy with 20 dollar wal mart shoes but no EEEE. at 120 a pop thats almost 600 a year well lets say 5 even. 5 a year plus 220 for work boots that better last me at least 5 years. 275 for dress shoes that will definatly last me for the rest of my life. Thats 1000 dollars in FUCKING SHOES!!!!!! :: :: :: But you gotta take the good with the bad. You know what they say about people with big feet. So I got that goin for me. Oh and if your wondering the answer is YES. I ride hardcore trails with tennis shoes. I would ride with my steel toes but they are to big to get underneath the shifter when I am shifting very fast and thats not a good thing on fast tight windey trails. I was thinking about making a post about this. Is there anyway Im pretty sure there is to lift your shifter up like 2/12 inches? Mabey just take the shifter off and put it up a notch. Im gonna get buckeled one day riding in sneakers. I keep thinking of shit to add to my post. Most of the time after a hard days ride the top of my foot hurts it gets red all of the time and depending on how hard Im riding it can get some serious black and blue marks that feel like they go into the bone. No biggie there though I am in chronic pain in my right leg everyday so thats just a scratch on the wrist to me.
  2. I dunno Ide imagine they could handel your basic 200-290 hp cars. Anything more and I would think the torque would rip the spokes rite off. ehhhhh mabey not. I guess whitewalls are out of the question too unless your one good pin striper
  3. Damnnn thats one clean machine. Reminds me of the yellow and black one I used to get my Father to ride me on when I was a young buck. it always reminded me of a bee. It was never that clean but it was fast as I can remember. First bike I ever rode on actualy. Then I got older and started riding it and I blew it up :ermm:
  4. I will put the new mods on all at once. Then start it up, let it warm up real good, and I will see if blipping the throttle and reving it some can give me a good reading on witch jets are off. Its piolet from Idel to 1/4 and main jets from 1/4th all the way to WOT rite? Where does the needel jet and float seat come in? Then I will ride it around for a little if its off on idel +reving just to make sure I blow out the carbs and see that everything is clean that way. If it still seems to be jetted perfect like it is now I see no reason to tear the carbs apart. Why mess with a good thing rite? I will make sure to check the plugs and make sure they are tan like they are now. If something is off then I will tear the carbs apart and clean them out real good and check the numbers on all of the jets and I will see what position the needel jet is at. Put them back together after I clean them real good with carb cleaner and see if it runs good that way. And yes I thought about racing fuel. Once I get thses mods on I am going to run 50/50 93 and 110 octane and do a cold comp test. then once it warms up to operating temp. Thats after Im done riding it. I will do another compression test to see where I am at. I have to take the gas tank off to do the test cause my gauge has a 14mill adapter and it doesnt fit in the Dome with the tank on. I will leave the gas on hold it at WOT and kick it untill it stops reading, correct? if I am below 170 I should be cool with 93 octane rite? I also just bought some Castor 927 for a premix at 32:1 switch from yamalube 2R at 32:1. My builder recomended that over Klotz and Amsoil is not an option he does not carry it. I will also be changing coolant from Maxima coolant to engine Ice or redline water wetter. Its whatever my builder recomends. Thank you for anyone who took the time to read all of this and respond.   6. Damn I want a chest protecter and a pair of riding boots badly but Im to big for both. The chest protecters only go up to 250 and I take a size 12 but I need a quadrupal E Width. If they were that wide Ide buy them in a second book.
  7. I just bought my SHEE about 2/12 months ago. It came with T6s a 2:1 Uni filter. I believe I have the pro Design air filter box setup with the lid on and it is jetted perfectly. but I have absolutly no clue about any sizes of my jets. Can you guys guess? I also just added a NOSS Coolhead w 20cc domes and I have a set of v3s a +4 timing plate and a billit impeller on its way it will all be installed by the first or second of november. I also have about a 30% drop in tempature from when I was riding in the summer and its going to keep dropping. Do I have to rejet with these new mods or do I have to rejet just because of the colder weather or both? If I do have to rejet could you give me a clue as to what jet sizes I will be needing and where to put the needel clip at? I am 1089ft above sea level

Yeah Ill take it apart and figure it out. and Im definatly gonna look into that extra spring that ratteling bothers me but not near as much as the shocks squeaking do man that gets on my last nerve. I always wear a helmet and it still bothers me a bit but I was riding one of my buddies kids on it so he was wearing the helmet and I was going insane with the rattels and squeaks. Cant be good and WD-40 Dont help that much. I have to make the shocks stiffer anyway mabey that will help.
  9. LT-80 ALLLLLLL THE WAY! I cant say enough about how bulletproof these little things are. We got it in 91 for my younger sister and when our quads (me and my friends) would be down we would beat the ever living PISS out of it. It is unbelivable what we did to this quad. we rode 5 at a time on it jumped it (suspention sucks) did douhnuts rode it at WOT for minutes on end for years and years. We wrecked it just about anyway you can think flipped it downhills wrecked into trees bottomed out countless times and everything is straight as an arow. The most we ever did damage wise to the quad was blew out the electrical so we put a pull start in it and we blew out some tires. We cleaned the carb a few times but it still runs strong TO THIS DAY!!! No rebuilds. None and how we rode it its Truley amaing its still in one piece. Before I got my SHEE I at 300+lbs would ride it around the trails for an hour at a time to se my property. BULLETPROOF!!! No way is there a stronger running quad than the LT 80. NO WAY!
  10. Im having problems pulling my kickstarter out to start it up. Sometimes it just takes a few pulls sometimes I lube it up and sometimes it wont come out at all unless I blast it with a hose.I hate starting it in gear out on the trails cause it causes so much ware on the crank and everything else. I imagine theres some kind of bearings in there that are probably shot. Do any of you guys have an easy way to fix this? If its not a fixable solution what kind of kick starter kit should I get and where? Jeffs if he has em rmatv? Oh, I have a kickstarter on my old blown up LT250R can I convert that to the SHEE?
  11. I just bought a set of V3s and was wondering if they came with a detailed instruction list for easy install. If not could you guys give me a few tips? Im in the grey on this one.
  12. I want to try my SHEE out in a GNCC race. Im looking to do it for fun more than on a competitive level but I dont mind passing up some 4 strokes at all. Do any of you know any events or open tracks around the Pittsburgh area that you ride?

Here are my list of mods TR6s 2:1 filter NOSS Coolhead w/20cc domes ping killswitch AKA my key no parking break Holeshots up front mudsharks on back Soon to come (+4 degree timing plate V3s Billit impeller All ordered and will be installed by the 1st) Then (F.A.S.T. Racing agressive woods port job and probably some t5s instead of the tr6s) His mods 440 big bore kit some sort of cam he told me his piston ratio I forget but he runs a 50/50 mix pump and 110 We started at the line some gravel some asfault spots and he automaticaly pulled me I hit 3rd and I caught up to him and half way through third I passed him I hit sixth and had to stop cause there was no more room. I was also speed shifting. and the race ended with me about 1 and a half bike lengths ahead of him. He was pissed and was insisting that I have motor work done :laugh: He said he has dragged and beaten piped yfzs and trx450s I have no reason to disbelive him. Man ws I on my cloud. I said see thats what you get for trying a 2 stroke king. Plus I weigh about 80lbs more than him. I dont quite understand though. I thought these YFZ 450s were smoking piped Banshees. From what I head if your going to beat a yfz on dirt or gravel you need port work. I guess thats not the case. I do also think I just happened to get one of them Banshees that just happen to be a freak rite off the showroom floor. Ive had 3 competing mechanics up my place ride it and they all said wow you have an awsome banshee. 2 of them said it was the best running Banshee they ever rode (not the fastest but the best running for my mods) It does make me wonder mabey I should just leave it the way it is instead of moding it out cause I could be comprimising the reliability factor and could be moving back instead of foward. But everyone here tells me Im doing exactly what I need to be doing so... I cant wait to get my timing plate and V3s in next week. Then later on this winter Im getting Jeff to do a woods port. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! BTW I do some drag racing but not to much. I mostly ride trails feilds coal pits and fire roads. So noones talking me out of the woods port.
  14. sure I dont have anything against Kawasaki. so if I ever do spot one Ill race it. Ill even beat it nicely. with one plug cap off so the rider can say Oh well guess my traction wasent that good.
  15. True it is on a stock motor and mabey the TR6s do out preform the CPIs stock but that reading is way off it has to be. Like I said they show the CPIs starting to make power and all of a sudden the power just falls off what did they do stop the rpm cycle a quarter of the way through then let theirs run! + they are saying that the toomeys make 50+HP and according to that chart all of the other pipes make at least 50 too. Bullshit! noway are you gaining 15 HP just from a set of pipes on a stocker.

  17. Well thats a good thing to know. Thank you. And too much power is exactly why I am going with the woods port mabey an agressive one but definatly not the dune/play port. If I ever get the money to get another Banshee though I will definatly get the Cub/Dune port. But thats so out of range its not even worth thinking about. 5th gear launches WOW thats insanity!
  18. Why do you say its a big mistake to ride trails on a cub motor? Not this year, but mabey next year, or the year after, I am probably going for a 4 mil and I was thinking of going with the Cheetah cub for that. And over 75% of my riding is woods/trails.

  22. Yeah thats not to bad. Pretty standerd. I would shop around some more if I were you. pick up an ATV trader look at all the Banshees they have in there and see if you get get more bang for your buck.

  24. I think I see what you mean. Your first gear goes from bottom to mid a little slower/top real fast then you have to switch gears rite away. and in second it has a nice smooth ripping powerband throughout all the way up to 6th. I guess thats the case with all banshees first gear is a very short gear. You could bump up compression and that will wake up any dead spot you have in any gear and the best way to do that is to get smaller than stock domes. Or you could change your gearing and that most cirtenaly will help extend first gear. But really why even worry about first the only downside to that is haveing to downshift hit first around a corner then upshift again for more power and thats just wear on your body after a while but thats part of the fun of the Banshees powerband. Also to get into the powerband really really fast in first is to rev the shit out of it then let the clutch out as fast as you want the rpms to change. It wears on your clutch but sometimes you need that power smack. Espically if you have no room in back of you and you want to climba hill. But if you do that you could always do more for your torque witch Im sure you dont have to much of cause I dont have enough. Then if your spinning to much tire in first you can always work the clutch a little and start in second. Im just spitting out random ideas as hey come to me mabey Im off here. Let me know what you think and I or one of the more seasoned guys will help you. As far as riding tips I think I am just as good as anyone on here.
  25. Wow my man to the rescue. I have not had my stock crank welded yet. I was definatly going to do this too you might just have save me alot of $$$. Thank you man. Very much. If I dont get my 4 mil this winter witch is looking dismal I will atleast have my stock crank welded with my port job if not for the domes then just for my weight. I am at 302 rite now I dropped like 12 lbs and I wanna keep dropping. 100lbs means 10 extra HP. Whoooooohooooooooo!!!!
