Wow I WAS going to buy a twist throttle cause Ive been useing them most of my life but there is no way now. I have to get more used to working on the shee before I go out and start buying more components. I just got my noss coolhead and 20cc domes and Im timid about putting them in.

Listen man I am very sorry to hear that. Im glad to hear you are ok all I can tell you is listen to your doctors about the phyical theapy part that could be very important. Neck injurys are no joke Ive had two and both time I was told I would never ride again. I just bought a Banshee and Im riding fine but thats only because of extreme PT and rest of normal extreme activitys for a few year to see if it was going to affect my back. Now I am in chronic pain with my leg whole diffrent story but hang in there man do what you think is rite. And a few of you are way out of line in this thread. A. No I dont even think they are interchanable. B. you never want to niggarig something like that the one side will be like yeah the other will be like errrrrrrr and rite as you go around a fast corner the frone end will want to slide out on you. Its a bad idea to ride with two diffrent tires let alone suspention. C.I do, however...have a set of front shocks off my 96 for sale, I will let go very...very cheap.... Straight, no leaks...the yellow shock springs do have some paint rubbed off them due to shockwears being on them for some time. dajogejr is a good dude he will sit there and answer any question you have.Theres your answer.

Yeah back before the Amish bought our sacrad riding ground (strip mines) and turned it into a logging company all of the Banshees and 250Rs I seen all had works shocks and ran yamalube thats all I ever knew. I always ran yamalube in my LT250R. I just hear the guys on here talking about Klotz and Amsoil like its liquid gold and their probably rite but point taken I will probably stick with the yamalube. Man People would come from all over just to ride that area and the property line is attached rite next to mine. It still makes me mad everytime I see it. As for the Works shocks I keep hearing Elka and Ohline. Espicaly for a rider my size. I definatly intend on looking at the Works shocks though and your word will definatly not be overlooked I just want what everybody wants the best money can buy for the money I intend on spending. Name brand doesnt mean anything to me only quality. Ide also like to add my stock shocks rite now are squeaky as hell man. I mean bad. I dont see any grease fittings for them. is there anything I can do to take the squeak away?

Thats awsome man I am always ready and willing to check out new bands espicaly bands that played with Soilent Green and Goatwhore. Hell yeah man! I went on your current bands site and tryed to download your first song but it took forever to connect so I will check you guys out later. I have some pull on a couple of metal Boards so I will recomend you if I like what I hear. I always wanted to meet Ben though man. I hang out with most of the bands that come through town and hook them up with shots and shit you know. Most notably Bongzilla. They chilled at my house the one night, man do those guys live up to their name :beer: I hung rite in there with em though.

Ok I did it I got the Blue Anodized Stock Banshee Head With 20cc Domes From NOSS. First I would like to say what a pleasure it was conversing with David and his company reps. He/they took all of the time in the world answering all of my thousand questions and did it with patience and confidence. I know I said I was going for the 21cc domes in my last thread but hell I figure why not go 20ccs if I dont have to mess with race fuel mabey 1 gallon to 5 but thats fine by me. Ide also like to switch premix oils from yamalube/SMOKE to Klotz or Amsoil but my bike shop does not sell them. Next update will be front shocks (mabey an Impeller). What do you guys recomend for a 310lb rider? And how cheap could I go for shocks that I want to be on there for at least 10 more years?

Yeah that is a pretty solid list I see up there man. I used to be huge into death metal most of the bands you listed I listened to CEPHALIC CARNAGE!!! I never was into black Metal except for Goatwhore man. I was suposto see them 2 times and they canceled both shows. I got into that band from the still unmentioned and all Mighty Soilent Green. I still listen to sewn mouth secrets total classic album to me. They would have went in my top ten but Im more into the stoner rock genre now like Bongzilla DOWN Electric wizard acid bath cathedral kyuss Hermano Black Sabbath of course the list goes on.

Quick solution Depending on how bad it is you could try wrapping the bolt in pipe tape (the white tape they sell at home depot or whereever) and screwing it in that way it shouldent leak.

Hell man 120 in 5 seconds, Thats damn impressive. Ive never seen it but Im almost sure Banshees have met or even beat that record already. Mod for Mod we know we have the faster bike its just mags dont really want to cover Banshees anymore they dont sell them therefore there is no money in promoting them. These so called ATV magazines are biast as hell when companys pay them to be and thats what it all comes down too. Thats a rock solid list bro. I like every band on there and I have seen most of them live. I seen Pantera 6 times, Metallica 3, Sabbath (original lineup) 3 times, Megadeth once, Maiden w Dickenson once, AC/DC Once, haha I took my mother, Slayer 5 or 6 times, and I just seen the CRUE Open for Areosmith last month. The order I would put them in By how much ass they kicked would be 1Pantera.Ive seen them 6 times and the ruled every damn time. Ive been to a ton of concerts and not only are Pantera my favorite all time band they are also my favorite Live band hands down they all kick so much ass! 2.SLAYER Rite behind Pantera for a live show by the slimist of margins SLAYER Owns the audince every time around 3. would be Sabbath I dont care how old and half retarded Ozzy is hew Sabbath play one hell of a show. Ozzy gets every word very clearly he nails the tone too so does Iommi 4.AC/DC Great live band you get everything you expect from the fun loving band and more. Booze Dirty women and sex! 5.Maiden- Man they put on one hell of a show Dickenson can hit them high notes unlike anyone else and the music is synched perfectly 6.Metallica- They owned soooo much more before the load album Hetfield still had that unrelenting brutal force behind his vocals and the rest of them play rite to the crowd you can feel the power! 7.Motley Crue- Man these guys kick ass when I seen them their sound equiptment was a bit fucked up but they still did a tremendous job for only playing 1 hour. Im sure they were better in the L.A. Strip days. 8.Megadeth-I only seen them once but they were pretty awsome Dave went on some stupid rants but you should expect that from Mustain TOOL TOOL TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Hell yeah Tool rock dude. Whenever I start my shee up cold it sputters like you have the choke on. even after I warm it up and take it out. I blast through first gear hit the powerband total sputter. 2nd gear sputter but a little less, 3rd gear it gets better then I usualt put it back into first and it runs smooth and quick through all of the gears. Could this be the start of a problem? I dont think my plugs have anything to do with it theyre pretty new and Oh it starts first or second kick every time.

Yeah now that I think of it I never did put it all back together after I tore it down let alone grease and oil parts. I mean with enough TLC it very well could be brought back to life. But Im at the point where I just bought this Banshee I have a nice set of tools but alot of abuse over the years has a bunch of pieces missing so I have to revaluate my tool collection thats gonna be a few $$$ I know I need a Clymers and keep visiting this site and read every little problem so when problems do arise on my SHEE (knock on wood) Ill be ready to take her apart and repair. So the R is on the back burner for now.

Pure and simple I never really thought about rebuilding the top end or jetting it But I showed that quad love man. When I first got it it ran real good I was told it was bored out to its last bore and if it faild I would have to resleeve. It started sputtering on top after about 2 or 3 years and I did everything except a top end rebuild I bought coils stators plug caps and wires new tires sprockets chains everything I just had no knowlege of two strokes neither did my father and he told me that going in but I wanted the R. That is why I frequent this site so much I want to learn everything about my Banshee so the same thing doesnt happen. I am looking to sell it to someone who will rebuild it though and show it the matinence I never could. Thanks for the sugestions steel wool it is. And as far as powdercoat goes I need suspention, some width, and motor work done before I worry about PCing the frame.

Haha no man I took care of it up untill I got my SHEE. I got the R when I was 15 and it was dryproof shed kept then it blew up when I was 22 or 23 now Im 26 and I just put it outside to make room in the shed for my Banshee. I still keep it under a tarp. I think I can still part it out I have a few more pics of it and I will take more next time I go up witch all depends on this horrific flu I have.

Haha thats a good one, Is it better to run 10w30 or 10w50? I used to run 10w50 in my old LT250R and Ive had no problems with it. Also the factory specs call for 1.7

haha wow Can you guys start your SHEES with you hand?

How do you all do a compression test? Do you have to take it to a shop or is there an inexpensive tool you can buy and how do you do it?. Im wondering because I pulled my choke to start my SHEE and there wasent anything comming out of the left pipe then I released the choke to the off position and smoke started comming out then about a minute later they were both blowing the exact same. I can also start it with my hand. It runs awsome though.
