I get mine from Cody. Buchananracing.com will be up soon and I think he will sell that on his site also. You can get it from anywhere though dealership rockymountainatv.com should have some. I get it cheaper but even if its like 10 bucks a bottle its worth it. Get on AIM dude.

IMS makes the best oversize tanks IMO. The stock tank is like 3.25. Its a little over 3 gallons.
-
Im down to talk Banshees whenever and Im on AIM alot. Post your AIM names here to start a Banshee HQ buddie list. Bansheecountry

I use the Bel Ray foam filter oil on mine. It is the tackyest stuff by far. It collects dirt better than any spray shit thats FOR SURE!

Im running the 20ccs and getting 150 at 1089 feet also. Its not as high as it says on the chart but I figured thats what Ide be around. I regret not checking my compression on my stock head but oh well. Ide say its not great but I dident put them on a fresh topend either. Its not rebuild time but it would be higher on a fresh topend.

stock motor vs. 4 mil stock motor
Washburn replied to 87banshee_rider's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I agree. As far as the carbs go for a 4mill I dont see anything wrong with running the stock carbs. In fact you should have more low end that way. If your gonna create a sleeper to drag race its not gonna happen. and you will definatly need larger carbs. -
You should torque them down to 20ft lbs. Also you get a brand new set of O Rings, acorn nuts, and copper washeres with your NOSS Head. "I torque them in a pattern, 10lbs, then go around again to 15, then finally 20." This is the best way to do it. While you are torquing them down to 10 you will feel like your going over 10 because the copper washers squish to make a seal. Do make sure your torque wrench is properly calibrated.

Are these easy to use/tune also? Do they come with directions for a timing curve on a stock motor bike with all of the preformance boltons? Why are these better than advancing the timing useing a plate?

pistons instead of porting?
Washburn replied to The Faster Cracker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yeah I asked him about them and he doesnt recomend them. I went on to say the same thing I am going to tell all of you. I want to try them pistons just to see what a simulated port would be like. I have absolutly no reason to PORT THE HELL out of my bike. I want a mild port mabey a 4mill. That is all I NEED. I think I know what I want out of my bike. Im the one who rides it. No its not about money either. I dont have much but My guy will port it for me to whatever specs me and him agree on. ITS NOT REALLY THAT HARD (BUT WHATEVER) AS LONG AS YOU GUYS ARENT GETTING RIPPED OFF PRICEWISE! He will do it and work out a payment plan with me. Im still going to wait and save every penny I have for the ELKA Elites  lol I wouldnt call the "top 5" Builders bra. Cody told me its a risk but they do work and thats all anyone needs to know. I hope nobody wastes builders time on a piston question. -
How about you give one cylinder to FAST one to passion and see witch side you like better.

Post a bigger reward amount and go around to where everybody rides and GET THE WORD OUT!!!! that really sucks man I feel for you. Fucking theives should be totured to half death then hung by their balls. I was just offered a KX400 Race ready for 800 bucks stolen. I said no and I had some words with the guy. I tryed to find out where he stole it from but no luck. I was smooth about it too. But he just told me he stole it from a racetrack in erie. Im contemplating beating him up and just taking it and posting it on the NET so mabey the owner finds his quad.

pistons instead of porting?
Washburn replied to The Faster Cracker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have my own mechanic. He builds Banshee engines along with all of the 4 stroke racers out there and hes top notch. He has a few articals on him now. He will be huge as soon as he wants it. Yeah he charges but hes no stealership. Plus I could take it to his shop and he would do it rite in front of me and I would help just so I know next time. These pistons do seem a little to good to be true though. I dont see any of you running these. I see all of you running pro lites? -
Colder weather=leaner. Barometric (sp) pressure

pistons instead of porting?
Washburn replied to The Faster Cracker's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Wow this is perfect. Im going to get these instead of a port so I can save for shocks and have the power of a small port for extra play. I will try to install them myself too. Im going to get a price from my guy before I buy them off Vitos site though. -
do i need to rejet if put reeds in ?
Washburn replied to slayer01's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
No you wont have to rejet unless your running rich and the reeds could add to that a little. As for reeds I went with the V force 3 reeds. They will run you 210-230 -
Heh, Its great! I already Got the "4 Strokes are like tampons every pussy has one" Now Im thinking about that for the other rear fender. Mabey thats overkill though.
-
That is a Nice freakkin bike. WOW! I cant even begin to imagine how that thing would handle in the woods. I have a stock motor for now but Im saving up for some elkas or coustom axis and aarms to get her to handle better.

Broke a flywheel key and now banshee wont run!
Washburn replied to bad_shee05's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
My imediate thought is wiring. Pull the flywheel, check the wires by your stator and see if they are chewed up. new plug caps could be it. New pick up coils after that. Then let us know. -
Well their both good. It all depends on who you feel most comfterble with. Thats it in the longrun.

125 dollars. You cant lose. Wont lose. And if the tranny is messed up let me know cause I have a good one off of an 86-87 Im pretty damn sure I will check either way. The bolts are seized up and stripped so I am having a bitch of a time getting the motor out. The motor is seized and the cylinder has a little coat of surface rust inside so I might just ditch it. Here is a pic of the motor. Damn theres more rust in there than I thought. Its been kept inside its whole life. All it took was one night in the rain for that to happen. No get your money back . This is bullshit. If its not done by now its not going to be done and there is a chance you will not get your money back.Ide be looking at whats the worst thing that can happen now cause its been so long. Its a scam. Its a nice Banshee but there are plenty of just as nice and nicer Banshees out there for 3000.
