  1. what about this setup??? Is it better, worse, same???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW
  2. Cool. So if I plan on adding a little engine work like a mild port to my engine with the mods I have listed then the single 35 is the way for me to go???
  3. what about the power though??? I hear people saying you wont have the top end that you get with twin carbs. I really like the idea of always having perfectly sinc'd carbs, but how is the power??
  4. agreed!! take that lid off if you don't drown it in water frequently and rejet accordingly. read your plugs and you'll gain lots of hp's without that lid and proper jetting.
  5. I agree that the smartest move would be to re sleve both jugs and have them both at stock bore. But if you dont want to spend that kind of money resleve the one you have to and bore it to match the other. .040 still leaves lots of room for more bores if you need them. But I would definately not put it together with two different size pistons.
  6. real nice pics. You gotta tell us how the power is changed I cant wait to hear. Ive been hemming and hawing over getting that exact setup. What is the diff between a 33 and a 35 (other than size) why did you choose the 35????
  7. I was gunna try atf in my tranny but everyone says to use type f and all I can find is atf type fa. Whats the difference?? I was also thinking of using gear oil but all I can find is 80 90 weight and I was told to use 80 weight. Is that the same??? Thanks for the help!!
  8. sounds like youve got a carb issue. take them off take them all apart and clean everything. put them back together and sinc them. clean your air filter and you should be ok. Id be caucious running 50:1 thats not much oil. I had stock shees and there is no way it should loose to a 300ex. I cant even believe its true. My buddies blaster with nothing but a fmf fatty pipe on it and it smoked another kids 300ex. My banshee dosn't even need 5th gear to walk that blaster so something is wrong. get in those carbs and see I bet there full of shit.
  9. My sleds have very different setups so I reallly couldn't tell a difference. The 700 with the 2's is a hair faster than the 02 was when it had the 3s in it. I wouldn't have believed that they would release a new setup that produced less power but I looked at on a dyno graph at HTG perf. Once I saw that I got another set of 2's and ditched the 3's. Even if moto T changes the design and makes more power with the 3's than the 2's It will only be such a slight amount of power that if you need reeds now I would strongly recommend getting a set of 2's. They aren't gunna quit making them any time soon and they are a really great performance upgrade from anything else out there that Ive seen anyway. I wouldn't hesitate to get them because you think maybe 3's might come out for the banshee. They still advertise the 2's in dirtwheels all the time. idk just my 2 pennies
  10. I tried super glue and that didnt work at all. I put some paint in and it held but they started spinning at the dunes again yesterday but I didn't put much paint in so I might try putting more in. How do you use safety wire??? just wrap it around??
  11. prolly not but I dont have any grip glue on hand and Im sick of spinning grips so we'll see how it works. if not I'll drive the 40 miles to my closest dealer and get some grip glue for $7 per half ounce.
  12. I was told that spray paint will work as good as grip glue for holding the grips in place. Im gunna try it what the hell, my grips are loose.
  13. I weigh 245 and I never lightened my flywheel on my other shee because I was told it was not recommended for larger riders. I got talked into doing it with my new banshee and it was the best $35 I have spent yet. It really woke the motor up. It revs instantly, I really like it and would recommend it.
  14. I rode a yfz and loved it. It had great power but it was that predictable 4 stroke power that you know exactly what its gunna do before it does it. I like surprise in my life . I would have owned one but I was uncomfortable riding it my knees where too close to the handle bars and I got a banshee that is faster than a yfz for about 2 grand less.
  15. around here the dirt bags call the cops every time you start your quad because their jealous that they will never aford one. And my banshee is worth more than their house and every thing in it. Fuckin dirt bags!!
  16. I purchased 3's for my sled last winter and after doing so a friend of my fathers, (owner of Hot To Go performance) Showed me a dyno graph of the same sled using v force 2s and v force 3s and the 3s made less power all the way around than the 2's. They started comming out with v force 3s for everything and then suddenly stopped and I was told that this was why. Mototassanari is supposidly working on changing the design of the 3's before they start producing them for other applications. The big sell on the 3's was that they where easy to work on. You can totally dissasemble them with out any tools they just snap together. Needless to say I sold my 3's and bought another set of 2's for my sled. Thats what I have in both the sleds now and my shee and they are awsome. Dont plan on mototassanari quitting making v force 2's any time soon, and you can get them pretty cheep on ebay.
  17. I have never done a clutch replacement My clutch is still stock to my knowledge. but thats good to know for when I do change my clutch this winter when I do my motor
  18. Ive done it a hundred times. around here we ride long distances and have to fill up at a gas station to make it home. I usually take an old soda bottle that is clean a dry and put the right amount of oil in it for 2 gallons or 2.5 and squish all the air out of it and put it in my pocket. then when I get to the gas station on my ride I put the oil in the tank and throw away the bottle. put 2 gallons of gas in and shake the shee. I never had a problem. Its either that or dont ride over 20 miles away and everyone takes long rides around here.
  19. Idk what you mean?????
  20. My last banshee I never felt a single clutch slip until I changed my oil for the first time. Then I noticed a little slip and It never got any better. I used several different types, and brands of oil even yamalube. and With my stock clutch and the EBC I put In I never had the hook up I had with that first tank of oil and now with my new banshee, I never felt a single slip in the clutch and I recently changed the oil. I drained it completely and put in castrol drive hard 10 w 30 and I emediatly noticed a slight slip in the clutch. the slip is present all the time just much more niticible when its cold Im thinking of trying atf. and see if I can get rid of this slip. Its just a little one but it was immediatly noticable. what ya think????
  21. hahahahahahahahah funny
  22. I dont know how the ssts compare to the fattys but when I had my last banshee my buddy had the same thing both 2000 shees stock. I put T5's on mine and he put fattys on his and I have about 40 lbs on him and I could walk him on pavement all day. I personally like the ssts pretty well they seem about the same as the T5s did but its hard to remember Im sure they are close I doubt ssts make enough of a difference to spank a banshee with T5s Id like to race some one with the same mods as me and T5s. but prolly never get to...
  23. I dont know shit about welds It was cracked all the way around the stinger tube where it connects to the silencer looks like the weld to me but idk. Its fixed now so I cant tell ya...
  24. ya I got it. Thank god I finally figured this out. man im retarded!!!
