I don't like the way the lowers mount up .Looks weak.

Kinda dissapointed to see that,from my end.They look simalar to mine,(mine are straight with about a 1/4'' bevel on each end).This design of clamps works very well if Viton O Rings Are used.The price looks right too. Nice clamps Ducman.

Damm,I made & sold 30+ sets for the fatties,but don't know the specs for the Rockets.But I,m planning on buying a set after Christmas,will make me a set for shure.This is an aluminum collar w/ o rings.Let me know if interested.

Same thing happened to me a few rides back,this newbie on a predator had his on backwards.I just went up & asked if he had plenty of hook in reverse!And with a dumb look on hi s face ,he said he did!

I clear coated my side cover.BAD IDEA,after a few rides my boots had wore off part of the clear coat .Then your left with a non polishable cover that looks like hell! Clear coating a part that you don't make contact with works good(IE stock polished axle).

You know thats what I was thinking also(tighter clearances with cast )I will say when I've ran the cast,my top end was clearly quiter.Also am I right thinking a little heavier piston might help on the torque ?

Good reads Brad,but I,ve yet to see a Cast piston lighter than a Forged as stated.I'm not disputing the article,just goin off what I've seen.I will say though,WSM pistons are JUNK!

I've been wondering the same thing.I was at a race & the tech guy was tellin me they do this on some of the Pikes Peak Hill climb bikes,I thought the guy was full of it,then I'm checkin out the Little Sahara Sandfest pics & see a couple of the drag race winners are set up this way.BTW new track records at Little Sahara too! I'd like to learn more on this also.

Led,I'm feeling for ya.Ihad my first experiance with these a couple of year ago.I woke up with my side hurting a little,whithin an hour,I was a hurtin mofo,Hell did'nt have a clue as to what was going on,Thought I was dyin.I could'nt piss it out either.Remember the first piss afterwards,damm that hurt.What sucks now is the fact they will at sometime return Hell now every time I get a little twinge in my side or back I'm thinkin oh shit here we go again!Get good soon man.Oh,don't go ridin with the tube in.(not good).

do what Led said.I also stuff a rag between the gears to keep them from spinning.

You might try swapping carb bowls.If your running stock carbs,the choke side bowl will differ from the other.

The seals have nothing to do with compression.Pull the top end down & check out the ring clearance.Could be the head is not sealing. Are you running a cool head or stock head.I'm assuming we're talking crank seals?

Don't think putting the bolts in the holes is a good idea.The powdercoating will cover the bolts & you'll end up having to cut around the bolt on every hole,or it will tear the powdercoating up when you take the bolts out.I'm not sure of the pitches but thinking 1.25 or 1.5 on most.From what I've heard most people just leave the holes open & retap.Should be able to get taps pretty cheap.

yea,you can still do it.You just have to match up the ports after the big sleeve is installed.I done this mod to a set of ported cylinders a few months back,but I did'nt bore out to the 404.With this setup I think tou have only 2 overbores so I took them out to .040,so I have plenty of overbores left on the thick sleeves.The sleeves are some thick basterds which makes the port matching a lot more work.

I've took .030 off for a couple of guys,with no problems.No change in gas between the two.I would check compression after decking to make shure.Anything below 160psi & you should be ok

Check out the SIDI Flexforce boots.The tops are hinged to the bottom.I really like mine. They allow you ankle to bend front to back but not side to side.

Just went through this last winter. I ended up using a die grinder with a thin cutting wheel to cut through the pivit bolt between the swingarm & the inside of the frame.Had to buy a new bolt & bearing kit though.Bet you ass I greased the pivit bolt on reassembly! A total pain in the ass.
