  1. You bet it will have an affect,A BIG ONE! As far as the stock crank, you will be fine if you don't set it up with too much compression. Go for it kotin!
  2. What I found was a LOT of carbon build up.Even on the inside of the piston underneath the dome. This was after 1 summer of riding!I never have any of that crusty shit with 2R.
  3. Wait till you tear it down, you might change your mind!I did, will never put Klotz Supertechniplate in anything again
  4. I've had mine on for two years now. They are ok but not great. The heims that come with these are junk.I had lot of slop in them after only a few rides. If one of the heims breaks it wound hurt bad!I think I payed around $450 for them.So after buying top quality heims for $250,the bargain was not such a bargin. Go with a high quality set up & you will be better off.Wish I had.
  5. I HATE THAT FRICKIN COMMERCIAL! Hot chics & gay song just don't mesh for me.
  6. You might talk to Eric & have him take a look at them.He would know how much work it would be to match up the sleeves & if you would gain HP.
  7. Agreed,I have NEVER seen a cast piston lighter than a forged.
  8. Today was my first dune trip with my CPIs.I LOVE them!Pulls hard from bottom to top!I doubt you will be dissapointed with either. If you buy the Rockets though,I'll hook you up with a nice set of exhuast clamps!
  9. Try 165s or so for a start.I hva quite a few mods(porting & such) & am running 172 mains.

Hey Proquad,I ran one of their shows a couple of years ago(liberal Ks.3/8 mile)Not a lot of quads that year & I took second! It really got me hooked, but I got burnt out traveling to Amarillo Tx to do it.I have since ran on a 1/16 mile track & got spanked. It is far and away the biggest rush I've ever had!But after seeing a coulpe of bad wrecked my nuts kinda shrunk up! I do have a family to support & it could go from the most fun I've ever had to my families worst nightmare. I will say that if they showed back up I'd probably pull the Hoosiers out again though
  11. Gotta go with the Sidewinders on this one.I was really impressed with what I've seen.I WILL NOT run a cheap chain.(got a welded up case to remind me what happened).I also think the sand is way harder on drive componants.I currently have the Primary Rear.A friend has the Try-moly.After a year no signs of wear!
  12. For sure,he knows his stuff. But what I found is he's a hell of a guy also! I was having issues with my bike(ported myself) & Jim took time out of his day to guide me though some numbers to help me out.He even had me send pics of my work so he could tell me what & where to cut.You don't find many guys that make a living building engines that will do that! BTW,Jim if you happen to read this,MY BIKE FREAKIN RIPS! Thank you!
  13. I will go with the Hinson next time.I bought the Performance Engineering basket. After summer it was starting to groove out.Doesn't seem to be much harder than stock.Spend the extra $ for the Hinson!
  14. Sorry to here about your loss. Some times you don't know how much you miss someone till its too late.
  15. I will say,the Rockets & CPIs are different.I went with CPIs,& my rocket clamps won't work on the CPIs Oh well I guess I'll have to make a batch of CPI clamps
  16. Offset is how the center is located in the wheel.1" would have the center moved over 1" inside the wheel to give a wider stance or narrower per application.Probably not the best explination, but one nonetheless
  17. Exactly,I could not do that if I had the rest of my life to accomplish it!You are VERY talented bud!
  18. Same here,Toomey for me,but any oversize will help out.A cooler running engine makes more power and lasts longer.$400 well spent in my book!
  19. Hell man at least you fessed up!Most guys would'nt let that mistake be known.lol
  20. Thats messed up!I hope this asshole gets whats coming to him.
  21. Great to here that! Let see some pics of the finished product!
  22. I'm already a twister & thats cool as hell!
  23. If its just a small spot at the bottom,I would'nt sweat it
  24. I bought them out of some place in KS,yea thats real heplful! I have the web pge saved at work, but won't be there till Tues.Ill see if I can run across it before then. They're pricey but I've ran a summer in the sand with no wear & no squeaks. Found it http://www.rodendsupply.com/ I went with the XM series.
  25. The heims on my ASR a arms were junk.Had play within a month, repaced with aircraft grade heims & all is good.
