Mine did that when I got it, all it ended up being was a dirty carb. Ran great half and wide open but low speeds it would blow a loud blast of air out the left side. It didn't really make a pop like a backfire. Is this what yours is doing? It also didn't have much pressure coming out of that side at idle.

The highest octane I can get in town is 91, I have never ran anything less. Thanks for the replies, I just wanted to make sure that would be safe.

What is the lowest octane number. I can usually only get 91 octane where I am at. Is that enough or will I have detonation?

Just curious to what the lowest octane I can run on my 99 banshee. It is completely stock. I would like to mill the head .025 and +4 timing advance. Hopefully have either trinity stage 4 pipes or toomey t5's. I am at 986 feet elevation. The only thing done to it right know is the aftermarket water pump impeller. Would I benefit very much from these mods? Thanks for any input.

Guess I should have made that clearer sorry. I'm talking about the little cover behind the stator cover. It has three screws that holds it on a one little phillips head screw in the middle. Mine is cracked around the screws and is now leaking transmission fluid. Thanks

Went out for sandfest, it is an awesome place to ride. Stayed Sept. 14-17. I will damn sure be going back.

I kicked mine about 5 or 6 times with throttle closed and it was 120 both sides. It is completely stock.
