  1. im still here, never talked much on dune review but i used to get on it a lot. just noticed about a month ago it was gone, kinda sucks. but we go to walden at least once a month. big red, i think your banshee was the first one i ever rode. one year at walden, i think it was back in 2006 or so forth of july time. i was on a little blaster back then. i almost garentee that was you that let me ride it, it was blue if i might recall
  2. well i torque the nuts i can get a socket on, i know you can only get a shaved down 12 mm wrench on the inside front ones, makes it kinda hard to figure the torque. i do also put some blue locktight on them. now that i switched to lock nuts i dont think il have a problem. i was just wondering if any one else has ever had this problem before. it was kinda crazy the last time it happend i ran it a whole week at st anthonys, not problem. then a hour into it on my home turf in walden, boom lost my nuts. (and that aint any fun). but like i said i was just wondering if anybody has also had this happen.
  3. just wondering if any of you guys have ever had the nuts holding the cylinders to the case come loose on ya. i have had them do it twice, once was my fault. i installed a cub set up and started it and put it on the trailer. lasted about an hour then the cylinders loosened up and i got a real nice air leak. the second time it broke the front inner studs off both happed about a year apart on bitch weekend. and of course i get to listen to all the girls go, mike your banshee is a big ol piece of shit. since then i got lock bolts and i just carry a 12 mm wrench with me, and check them every once and a while. just wondering if you guys ever have this happen too?
  4. yeah that place sounds kinda scary. this girl i work with said one year on new years, they were out there and some guy camped next to them get stabbed over his wheels on his pickup.

  10. im not in CONNECTICUT. but i got some old fmf fatty pipes i would sell ya for 50 bucks. they look kinda shitty cuz they dont chrome them good. but you could paint them if you wanted. they even come with the nice billet connectors between the pipe and stinger. i can get you some pics if you want. let me know man!!
  11. i got one of those bolt kits off of rockymountain atv it works great. im gonna order another one. not sure if it would have the motor mount bolts tho. and another plus when you run out of bolts its a great jet organizer!
  12. i dont want to steal your thread. but you guys with the extended a-arms. do you like them? iv been looking at them. im just worried about fitting between the trees at our dunes. also are you just putting in spacers in the back or new axles too?
  13. check your cylinder base nuts. i had mine come loose and broke two studs, a few weeks ago. when mine did it, it was running good and all of a sudden it died and then i could barely keep it running.

  15. Well all we do now, is ride sand dunes. mostly in walden co. (drag racing and hillshooting) but we are gonna go to Idaho for the first time ever this summer. and im running cpi inframe pipes.

Ok so i have some money burning a hole in my pocket. right now i have a 4mm dune port done by hjr. and i would like to go to a 421 cheetah cub. i already have the carbs intake and pipes. so my question is if i do this will it be worth the money, would i feel a good increase in power or not? also would i have to get a lock up clutch? thanks mike
  17. i change mine after every dune trip or once a month, but i got a 1000 gallons of oil three feet from my work bench
  18. yeah pretty much if you turn the handle bars an half inch left or right you would not seen any movement in the tires. but you can see the tie rod ends moving (the little ball joints on the tie rods. it has been like that since i bought it. but my yfz is real tight, and there is no play.
  19. um i heard that for some reason oil was good for a motor. has anyone else ever heard that. ok im done joking around. my real question is i got a little bit of play in my handle bars. if you just wiggle them like your turning. they got about a half of an inch of play. does that mean i need some new tie rod ends. it looks like that is where all the play is. but i didnt know if that was normal for a banshee.

  22. hey guys i talked to cpi on friday and there gonna sned me a new pipe. they were pretty cool about it. they are sending me one then when i get it i can then send the bad one back to them.
  23. well damn. for 600 bucks i would figure i good finish for the chrome. i hope i dont send them back and get a even worse set. cuz then i would be pissed. that and i kinda thought they would send the little rubber cuppler that goes between the pipe and silencers. good thing i got some from jeff
