  2. im looking for a 2 into 1 carburetor manifold. i would like one that can fit or be used with a 34, 35 mm carb. thanks robert
  3. do you have a paypal account or how would you like the money sent.
  4. alright cool so far i have two things i can do. what about a 2 into setup or has anyone tryed the fmf knarlys or anything else
  5. thats what i was going to do next, a noss head but wasnt sure if more compression would help or hurt. what size domes would you reccomend. i dont care if i have to run pure race gas if helps the shee with the load.
  6. alright i just got a 2001 banshee with porting, advanced timing, pro series reeds, k&n pods, t5's, stock carbs and the cylinders are .030 over. at the moment im probly to fat to be getting on a banshee but i love two strokes. im wondering what i can do to her to help pull the load while im busy trying to drop the weight. i mainly ride the desert, hard packed and dunes. any ideas will be appreciated
  7. i drove all the way from san diego to look at that bike. not worth it to me. one of the pods is missing the outerware and theres sand all over it. they say the bike is jetted for 4000 ft but i know they were riding it at pismo. and is sounds like the right side crank bearing is out or it might be the water pump. if you want anymore info let me know.
  8. if the 6 pack rack isnt sold i'll take it. i can pick it up whenever just let me know.
  9. looks like the v-force 3 is the ticket. thanks guys
  10. i did a search and didnt come up with much. has anyone ever used the pyramid reed valves from duncan racing or any other pyramid system. how did they perform and how do they compare to the v force 3 system. i have t5s with porting and polishing k&n pods timing advanced +4 stock carbs for now and boyesen pro series reeds. thanks for your input
  11. thanks for all the help guys i owe you some ICB'S it sounds like no matter what route i go its still going to be pretty time consuming. maybe i'll just have to see what i can do with the front of the banshee frame. im thinking of maybe transplanting the front of a yfz450 from the radiator on? or see what i can do to add some rake and move the a-arm mounts in.
  12. thanks for the help guys. what would you think of maybe putting the laegers pro trax front end on. what are the major problems with the banshee frame? can they be fixed maybe with a little work? is it mainly the rake, is it the width of the frame? dont be afraid to get technical. i dont have much experience with the banshees suspension so i can use all the help i can get.
  13. OK i did try searching but could not really find everything i needed to help make a decision. if you guys were going to put the very best suspension on your bike you possibly could, for desert racing/dunning what would it be? something that you can buy. and by that i mean a-arms/spindles/steering stem/tie-rods etc. I'm willing and able to do anything necessary to modify my frame or a-arms to fit properly. i just don't have the time to design them from scratch so I'm going to settle for buying something until i get the time. thanks for your time its greatly appreciated
  14. can somebody tell me if the old fmf pipes (around 1989) where shapped like the cpi inframes and if they are better than the new fmf pipes available. me and a buddy are in disagreement.
  15. awesome thanks guys
  16. okay well pops is dying to get on his new 06 banshee and we want to go to corral canyon. he says its bad to stand the quads up and plus you have to drain all the fluids. i say bullshit i see it all the time and if it hurt your quad or you had to drain the fluids not too many people would do it. while neither of us have done this, how is it on the quads and do you have to drain any gas or oil, really dont want to take two trucks. thanks for your help. oh and completly off the subject we've started it and let it idle and cool completly down and repeated that more than 6 times.(love the smell of that maxima and nothing like the sound of a purring 2 stroke) is this bad for it. you guys rock
  17. a guys hangin out with his buddy and he tells him his elbows been hurting like a motherfucker. his friend tells him about this new machine at wal-mart. you just pee in a cup put the cup in and 10.00$ and it will tell you whats wrong. yeah right he thinks bullshit. so the next time hes at wal-mart he see's this thing and figures what the hell pees in a cup puts it in the machine and puts in ten bucks. a paper spits out and says you have tennis elbow, ice it three times a day for two weeks and you should be fine. he's just amazed and thinks how good is this thing, so he goes home gets some of his wifes and daughters urine, a piece of his labs shit, and for good measure jacks of in it. goes back to walmart shakes the cup real good and puts it in as well as ten bucks. the machine is actually doing something so he waits, like 15 mins later it spits out a paper, your wife is pregnant its not yours, get a good lawyer, your daughters not a virgin, your lab has ring worm, and if you dont stop jakin off youll never get rid of that tennis elbow.
  18. thats right dont fuck with a mans bike. i wouldnt think twice about introducing some fucker trying to steal one of our bikes to the old twice pipe with some buckshot. but i'll definitley look into this insurance, seems cheap enough.
  19. when my yz490 locked up i had to get a piece of wood and knock the piston loose. you might try letting some penetrating oil sit on it overnight and see if anything happens. :baseball_bat: oh yeah and if the piston is shattered be sure to get all the pieces out of the case and even if the crank isnt seized check the main bearings and also check the crank for trueness. (make sure its not bent). hope this helps
  20. chrome paint defintely sucks. i wouldnt waste your time or money, have it done professionally.
  21. what did you guys do with the warning lables. on the 06 they're riveted on and recessed in the plastic. if you take them off youll have holes and empty squares. i was thinking about machining some custom alum plates or something to replace them.
  22. yup i've run across that problem on the bikes, either float height or you need a new needle valve as 00tbanshee said.
  23. as they said above helicoil is the best fix but if its not stripped too bad you could chase it with a tap and that might get you over until you have time to pull the motor and helicoil it.
  24. hey just my 2 cents but take it to someone whos doen it before. they'll already have the setup down and guess work taken out. im a cnc machinst by trade and trust me i've seen these one off jobs come around quite a bit only to be scraped out by some fuck who should be working at mcdonalds and not machining. hope this helps
  25. thats the kinda stuff i need to know. your right he's probaly not going to be doing a lot of drag racing or riding wide open for long periods of time so then the cpi's would'nt be as good a pipe as a t5 or fmf. thanks
