  1. p.m.ed you kaotik1
  2. alright i am finally getting serious about building my shee. i'm in need of a few things to really get started. here's what i need... right upper a-arm (i have 2 lefts and 4 lowers so i am not interested in anything other than the one a-arm) both upper a-arm bolts and the metal sleeve that the bolts go through (i don't need bushings i have quite a few) axle carrier bolts (i need both of them) one motor mount (only really need one of the bottom "bar" type the clymer manual calls them tension rods) this is all i can think of that i need for now. please let me know if you have any of this stuff.
  3. i don't know what year they changed the brakes out on the banshee. but there are 2 different brake sets. one is the newer style and then there is the older style that looks like this: if the brakes look like the ones above then no the spindles are not exactly the same. i will post a pic of the 2 to show you the difference. they ARE interchangeable but the brakes can only be used with the correct spindles because they are not interchangeable. like i said i don't know what year they changed but i know there is a difference. here is the pic to prove my point. look at the mounting brackets for the brakes, on the j-arm banshee spindles they are closer. that is the only difference.
  4. what are you talking about? obviously not a banshee. blaster maybe? if so then yes you can adjust them.
  5. yes you can use a-arm spindles on j-arms the ball-joints are all the same. if you need a set of j-arm brakes let me know, i have 2 good sets in my garage. or if you need a-arm spindles let me know i think i have a good set out there too. if you want the j-arm brakes i would be willing to work out some kind of trade. and yes the spindles are different. the caliper mounting brackets are closer together on the j-arm set. this is one thing i do know for sure.
  6. damn bubba, getting rid of the shee already? that sucks big time. how's your truck coming along? did you ever get that motor built? and do you have any info on when the project blaster forum is gonna come back? good luck on the sale.
  7. www.CPCustoms.com has some good blaster motors. also projectblaster.com has a real good motor. i haven't used either one but i have heard some real good stuff about them. there was a couple of good blaster forums but i think they both closed down. barrymaxx might have some good info for you. he's pretty knowledgeable on blasters.
  8. i have a ypvs head in my garage. i thought it was some kind of aftermarket head. so is it useable on a banshee motor? or is it only useable on a rz?
  9. can you get pics of the levers you are looking to trade? and are you saying you will trade both levers for the one silver lever? i'm asking because i have one in a bag i thought it was brand new but i just looked at it and found that the top screws show the typical beginning to strip out. anyway i only have the brake lever/master cyl.
  10. nice looking shee. excellent work.
  11. just to let you know the rears will fit in a box 32x35x10. if you can keep all measurements under 36" you stay under FedEx's oversized limit and it will save you about $50 in shipping. i don't know about fronts though. ive never shipped fronts to know what size the box has to be.
  12. i think i have a renthal cross bar pad. i will have to look and see. if i do i will get pics. check with me later today.
  13. yeah that's why i'm going to try to sell my stuff without going through fleabay. and it applies to everything. fleabay motors just got the biggest hike in prices.
  14. thanks rriggs. the carb looks great. can't wait to try it out.

  17. i know this is a little off topic but i'm curious... what does it usually cost to powdercoat a frame? just the frame.
  18. bravo!!! i applaud the iraqi's for not dragging it out like we do here in the U.S. i love my country but the appeals process is rediculous.
  19. rriggs, why didn't you just ask me? i have both set ups out in my garage i could have checked for you. anyway the part numbers thing won't match because they are not the same. but i can assure you that they do bolt right up. i checked. what barrymaxx said about the brakes is 100% correct.
  20. i agree. Jeff is a great guy. i was impressed by the fact that he didn't get irritated at my lack of knowledge. he did great at figuring out what i meant when i started throwing around terms like thingamabob and doohickie.
  21. a 250x? no way dude. isn't that a 4 stroke? pass on that crap. maybe if it was $150. if it was a 250r then i would say hell yeah. because you could turn around and sell it for a lot more.
  22. i will have to look and see if i have the spring too.
  23. is this what you are talking about? i don't know if it will work on a banshee but this is from a blaster.
  24. well it's easy to be a good seller when you have a great buyer. thanks.
