  1. I figured I would ask you guys a question about my 450. You guys have been helpful with my banshee and I see a couple of you have 450's. Well my girlfriend was riding the 450 and it stalled and never started agian. I had to tow it back with my banshee. why have the tables turned. When I got back to camp I noticed the leads coming fromt he starter relay were loose on the battery, Tightened them up and nothing. Took my battery to dealership they stated battery wouldn't hold charge so bought new battery installed it nothing. Tried to start by bypassing the starter relay nothing. Then noticed the red and black wire that goes into the Starter cutt off relay was frayed through the insulation. So I clipped it and butted it together. Now nothin. NOw the only thing that happens is it makes a clicking noise. So i replaced the starter cutt off relay the smaller one in the back, STill not starting. Now when I try to start it the clicks get faster but not starting. Now im new to this bike as far as working on it. i dont have a wiring diagram or meter so Im kinda SOL. But maybe one of you know what that red and black wire runs to. Any help would be appreciated. I really wanted to ride this weekend. But my girlfriend would be pissed if I left her behind. Thanks.   2. Never had Dg pipes on my banshee. But put a DG silencer on my 450 and I like it. It is way louder than most pipes on the 450's I line up against.

    t-rex?

    I believe the yamaha dealership here in vegas was willing to sell me a cheetah powervalve. And I was going to put in on my yamaha card. but everyone one is right it will cost a little money to make the t-rex run hard. I got cpi pipes, 35mm airstryker carbs, advanced timing, lightened flywheel, K&N pods, drag porting, and a few other things and it screams with stock crank also. Not to many 4 strokes that hang with me. But Im also getting ready to run alcohol and stroker crank soon. Put some money into your suspension before the power though trust me. Or port the shit out of your bike, cool head small domes cpi pipes bigger carbs and a stroker crank and run it on alcohol and you'll be happy with it and have reliabilty. Come to think ouf it I bought my t-rex from the dealership on my yamaha card. All the bolt on stuff you could buy at the dealership with your card. And maybe do some trading to get some porting done.

    do spend the money and get it ported? Most bikes at dumont I can pull up on and beat them pretty bad. the only ones I cant beat are the plus 10 swinger full drag bike but I would like them to try and keep up with me through the dunes. Oh and another thing I was really surprised with its reliability. All I do is change oil and put gas in the things. And it been two years and never had to rebuild it.

    What r u trying to do with the bike? What style of riding? There a many factors in this decision. I have a T-rex powervalve motor and its pretty quick. I only ride sand and do a little hill shooting. At first I didn't like it. But once it got set up right Im pretty pleased with it. I also dont have stroker crank or running alcohol and it holds its own at dumont. Up comp hill I up shift and pull 5th gear pretty hard. Great low end to? Get in touch with t-rex banshee here on this site he'll give you some good info. :biggrin:
  6. talk to trex banshee on here he has a lot of info on them. And his runs pretty hard. I actually got the same motor also and i am pleased with it. :biggrin:
  7. I run 50:1 premix. I use motul 800 Factory line 2T. It is the shit. Every builder i talk to swears by it. Never any engine wear problems yet. My builder tore down the motor and said everything was in great comdition. At that time i'd been running the motor for a year and a half :biggrin:
  8. Sorry man sold them on ebay a few weeks back. I might be getting some more cpi pipes to sell though. ill post them up on here again before ebay . The majority of my sets will go for 300-400

  10. dont the t-rex have different domes sizes than normal. i think this i due to using flat top pistons. I have a t-rex and my domes are like 10cc and i have another stet that is 7 or 8cc.
  11. Im selling a set of cpi inframe big bore drag pipes. The pipes performance speaks for themselves. Many users on here use them. Im looking to get around 400 shipped to your house in the USA. They have some dirt build up toward the bottom of them but with time and elbow grease they will come clean. I was just giving you guys a chance at them before I put them on ebay.   13. no problem man. i had the big bores on my bike and it ran pretty good. Then i put the small bores on and it ran awesome. Upshifting at comp at dumont pulling 5th gear pretty hard. If you can get your hands on them do it. If i were you I would call cpi directly. i spoke to ashley and she has great customer service and she told me they sell used and refurbished pipes to people in need. they run about 300. she let me trade on of my sets in and she sent me a new one for free... website cpiracing.com :biggrin:

  17. from my experience it the carbs. they are probably out of sync. do you have k&n air filter pods on your bike?
  18. i know just about a month ago i ordered two sets from my local dealer and i got them in less than a week. they ordered from skat trak
  19. to be honest with you i dont know much about them.. all i know the header pipes are a little fatter than my old fmf fatties.. im actually selling them for a friend. there is just a little blueing toward the manifold area of header. the power core 2 silencers were only ran about 4 times then i bought the cpi's.
  20. when i get home from work i will post some pictures. i have fmf power core 2 silencers and last rebel racing header pipes for sale . i want 150 plus shipping. they are chrome and in pretty good condition. i also have some cpi inframe drag pipes for big bores asking 400 with shipping. i'll post picture after work.

    CPI or SHEARER

    i have a set of cpi inframe big bore pipes. for 440 and above. they are about 3 months old. the only reason im selling them is because the dealership said i needed another pair because they broke but they were wrong. all i needed was the adaptor that goes on the t-rex motor a part i ended up getting for free. so the dealership cost me460 plus 120 to chrome and tax. hit me back if you still need them.
  25. let me know if you still have that bike. i have an 06 shee with some work done to it willing to trade for the 450. some of the mods are lightened flywheel, advanced timing, 35mm carbs with k&N pods, cpi inframe big bore racing pipes, as well as a 440 t-rex cylinder kit. i believe it is 72mm bore. the motor came from dasa teamracers edge dan lamey built it. we dynoed it a couple of weeks ago at 86 hp. i have the dyno print out for it. it also has a dune port job done on it. if you wanted to go faster you could drag port it. any questions call me 702-374-8059 ben
