  1. r u happy with those cylinders. dan the t-rex inventor told me if you port it, itll give you like 15 more hp. and hows your bottom end. is it sluggish? does it only kick in the top end.

  3. they gave me 36mm flatslide carbs. the throttle is so stiff i can only hold it down for a few minutes at a time.

  5. las vegas, NV they called me about 5 minutes ago and said it was being sent to dynojet right now. they said give them a day and it will be done for sure. they said maybe even done later on today. so ill keep my fingers crossed/
  6. dude like garbage. I found out after it was put on the dealership had never put one of those mototrs together before. so i took it out and 10 minutes later it took a shit. i took a quick look over the bike and who ever put it together was a jackoff. the right spark plug was not tightened down and it was leaking out of that head. the right carb idle screw was not in. the throttle cablewasnot on that carb also. so i calledand complained and stated that my girlfriend was a lawyer and my boss was a state assemblyman. and i was going to take them too court. then they flew so dude out from a differeent state so high level maNAGER. and he supposedly is going to take care of it. they gave me a couple hundred dollar gift cards. They called me back that same day and they said they fixed it. they said they couldn't jet it so they would send it away to so dynojet company to jet it while it is on the dyno. they said this company was good and they would get the most horsepower out of that setup for dune riding. :yankyank: so we will c today. it is supposed to be sent to dynojet today.

  8. right now i have an 2006 banshee i bought july 1st. right now i bought a whole new top end. had the bike for 6 weeks and the dealership has had it for 4 weeks. bought a 440 kit kit . parts i have are. the air box with k&n pro flow kit with outerware. i also have the k&n power lid. the stock carburetors, the head, pistons both cylinders the reeds.. i have the whole parts list. the dealership gave me a printout and they stated its worth new was 1829.92 before tax. make me an offer. i you want i can email some pictures. also can let you contact my dealership and they will stat everything is in great condition. they stated it wasn't even broken in yet. can show reciept when i bought bike and reciept when i bought the new motor. tom. is when i get the bike back. so let me know i also have all the part numbers from the dealership if you need them

  13. im going to have to update my membership to post pictures it stats. so give me a few days. it has fmf fatty pipes with powercore 2 silencers. pro design k&n fliter and outerware. got two 36mm flat side carbs, moose boost bottle, bought the advance timing key, the t-rex kit ported and polished by racers edge with the 72mm pistons and they had to bore the case to 80mm, the stroke is i believe 54 with the 72 mm bore to make it a 439.7... dan stated when he ports and polishes it should about 15hp. and they said they would rejet it. total cost 3300. but that also included a DG pipe and rejet of my other bike: 2006 yfz450.. i have stock plastics on the banshee it also is a 2006. this was what i was told that would work from the dealership. the only reason i got a hold of team raceers edge was because they were the only ones that had the trex in stock that would work. everywhere else it was on back order for at least 2 weeks. as far as clutch and tranny i was just going to leave it alone. nobody told me i needed to do anything else. so what else should i get just remember im not drag racing just dune riding. :beer: but now from experience with stealerships i will never take my bike back there. also give me a run down f what you have on your bike
  14. from some of the research ive been doing it says that dam lamey is the one that invented the trex. and i guess he really knows his sh*t. from what ive read he has been building motors for over 30 years he also builds the race motor for joe and heather byrd.they supply engine technology and support to various Factory Race Teams and cover every aspect of 2-stroke and now 4-stroke motors. they are also been contracted by OEM manufacturers to develop new products and engine designs for what will be in the showrooms in the future. Very few company's can say the same. they have been involved in creating technology for years.. Many national champions and factory race teams put their trust in them.
  15. yeah definitely dont want the fastest shit out. sh*t ill smoke this dude for a while. he doesn't even have enough money to buy new plastics for his bike. and to top it off he just lost his job. maybe in the near future i might have two banshees. keep you guys posted. :beer:
  16. motherfu**er wont really tell me. i know he has pro circuit pipes and the engine was just rebuilt. but no cool head no boost bottle no K&n stock carbs. he said something about it being bored out a little. what suck is im the one that sold it to him. its an old 87. back then they ran stronger than the new ones. mines an 06 bought a month ago. sold it to him for 600. he dumoed 2750 into though. but that was a new clutch fixed suspension, spocket, chain rejetted and rebuiling the motor he said. on the videos he beats me by like 3 bike lengths. and i asked the mechanic and he said he dont remember it was a while ago. he would have to tear it down to tell us. :shoothead:

  19. dam thats a grip of HP. you have to remember that i was just riding a stock banshee. all i was just trying to beat the next door neighbor not all of vegas. when you got your trex was it overwhelming power when you first rode it? how much difference is this going to be? i just spoke to dan again and he said the same thing i could pull more power with some different pipes. sh*t i feel like a little kid going to disneyland for the first . i can't wait to ride it.
  20. hey guys thanks for the info. the dealership only gave 2 options the t-rex or the alba 400 stroker kit. they told me the alba kit wouldn't be as reliable as the trex. now the dealership has my money and they already paid dan lamey for the motor and it on its way will be here tomorrow. they also told me those were the only 2 that they could give me some kind of warranty. also spoke to dan and he stated that i would have 80hp with those pipes. could get a little more with different ones. so how long do i have till i blow it up? and what kind of breaking in will i have to do with this motor?
  21. he's a very busy man i guess i will just wait till i get it back should be done today. the he will ship it back to the yamaha dealership. so hopefully ill have it next tuesday for the first ride. when the dealership gets it i might just have them dyno it for me. they said they would do it for free. :beer:
  22. thanks god you guys were making me nervous. well from now on ill take the bike somewhere else to get worked on. i just did it this way because it still had the factory warranty on it if they did the work. has anyone heard of dan lamey though? and what kind of power am i getting from that motor? :shrug:

  24. well i got smoked by a neighbor on his banshee so i wanted to make mine faster. i went to the yamaha dealship where i bought the bike a month ago and told me to go with the t-rex. i really dont know to much about it. but the fu**ed up the order and my bike sat there for 2 weeks and the motor never came. and i had already paid the 3300. so i went on the internet and found dan at racers edge. what is t-rex not any good? the other thing was i got a yamaha card and the dealership was the only place i could use it. but since they fu**ed up they had to buy the motor from racers edge to keep me happy or i was going to throw the bike threw the front window.
  25. i had planned on getting the 393cc t-rex kit but the yamaha dealer fu**ed up and didn't get it ordered. now that motor is on back order from dasa. so now i found a 72mm bore stock stroke t-rex kit that turns out to be a 440. the company im getting it from is team racers edge dan lamey. is he a good builder? what kind of horsepower m i going to get. dan is also going to do the porting on the engine. picked up 36mm flat side carbs, boost bootle,advance the timing and rejetting. is this bike going to be dune ridable or is this a drag bike? forgot i have fmf fatties as well as power cores 2 and k&n pro flow.
