  1. It's too hot for me to ride there right now. I love night riding, it will be nice at night!
  2. You're a good friend! My friends always pay me back no prob.. Roll with the second option & you'll lend less
  3. Free bump for the Balla! Welcome to the HQ
  4. Damn.. Good buy!! Wish I could pick that up & stop by Glamis on the way back!
  5. I took my bolts to the hardware store and told them, "I need these replaced with allens." $20 bux replaced all botls on plastics, pipes, case covers. I shaved my fenders with a sharp utility knife, I let them sit in the sun to soften up before cutting.
  6. Yes & drill it thru. Carefull on putting pressure when drilling thru. You don't want a heavy hand pushing the drill & damaging the other side of the carb.
  7. Very nicely detailed! I like that!! I want to see the front & the other side, if you have the pics? Please!
  8. If they have vent holes, other than that it will bubble up on you.
  9. Not bad at all if that's your thing sarg but man that price is killing me. This looks pretty good for a 1/4 of that price: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sspagenameZWDVW
  10. I say don't cut the sides anymore but maybe where you blacked out the rear but wait.. What color are you painting them?? Might look different once plastic is colored, it sticks out alot right now because it's black.
  11. I like how you kept more of the fender for a better look but I also want to see it on the bike. I'm thinking of some kind of cut behind the seat but can't pinpoint it. Throw it on the bike, lets see it!
  12. Thanks alot, I love it too  I think the key removal plays a big factor here. It's tucked under the seat.
  13. He's hooking you up with a free part, just pay the shipping & sell it to your boss for $50 lol, jk!
  14. Oh yeah, remove that thing. It's part of the TORS system which you don't need. Throw it out! Also, as I'm working thru my bike I'm replacing stock bolts with allen heads & can't stress enough how easy & convinient it is to work with the allens.. I replaced the carb bowl bolts with allens and it's a sinch when cleaning carbs or rejetting
  15. No prob guys! Taking pics sometimes helps finding your way back in case forget where something goes. I remember taking the carb tors caps off, removing little black box under the left side of tank, Ebrake & all cables but clutch cable & plug from the thumb throttle. I used black RTV to seal that hole. I flattened the bosses + a tad more.. When tapping.. do a few threads then back out the tap to remove those shavings, then proceed & again back it out. You don't want the shavings ruining the fresh threads. You only drill a few mm & the tap is soft so you should finish pretty quick. Once everything bolted back on & fired her up, I followed the receiving plugs & removed them from the harness. Things should clean up pretty well once completed.
  16. Motion Pro sells those same idle screws for a few bux a piece. See below where the drill bit is sitting in the actual hole to drill. It's that same surrounding surface that you need to flatten out. Since the car is alum It's soft and a regular file will work fine. That's what i used. If needed, any machine shop would do that job for you. I did my carbs on the drill press. Big gold screw goes right in that hole, that's the idle screw..
  17. Thanks for the info guys, what kinda pricess we lookin at here?? My prob is looking at $300 boots... Gets me thinking about a port job instead
  18. Theres a thread going on right now for Fullbore plastics. Look at the white/red banshee. It has trail techs on the bars and some on the front of the frame pointing downward. I like that set up.. this way you can immediatly see down the backside of a dune when riding the crest. Full moon night riding at Pismo is the shit!!
  19. I've seen around a couple times but never on any sites. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks for the pic & the info!
  20. So I'm buying my first set of riding boots. I really need them if you see some of the places I ride. But I don't like the Idea of forkin out serious dough on them. I stopped by Cycle Gear yesterday & tried these on these Shift Boots.. fit really comfortable vs. Oneal & Fox. Will I be good with these Shift Boots at $99? It's a deal if they work & last but I can't see myself spending $200 unless I really need to. Let me know what you think or suggest? Is there a better deal out there?? I was also looking at Axo's lowtop boot, what are your thoughts on those? Shift: http://www.ridegear.com/rg/item/F-53802/Sh...mbat-Boots.html Axo: http://www.btosports.com/p/AXOSLAMMER
  21. I got sand in the carb not in the tank. I lost a pod in Glamis, sucked sand in there!
  22. first thing first do a carb cleaning. remove the bowl from the bottom in cluding the jet as well as the car top & remove the slides. Give it a good washdown with the carb cleaner. Most of these probs come from debris in the carbs! I had the same prob & dissapeared once cleaned those carbs, I could actually see sand grains in there!
  23. Are you saying you're gettin Works designed for a YFZ? Get them if you're getting a killer deal, don't see why they don't work.. I don't know since never experienced but keep us updated if it should work for you. I've wondered about this a few times & might have passed on some deals if this works
  24. Wish I could figure out how to upload some music on here. A friend of mine who writes music has a song called Bachelor Life based on him & wife splitting... It's the shit, it's all about his benefits from the split!!
  25. Wrap what? The plastics or tank?? If you have the time please let me see a pic of those shaved fenders with the IMS tank. Thanks.
