Ill pass on the offer.its gonna cost me at least 25 to ship it lol -
You said this is a stock stroke/rod length crank with stock stroke pistons right? Sounds like you have some huge deck height numbers. Measure the deck height right now with the head off and then pull that fucker apart and measure the thickness of your base gasket and also measure the step in the dome are of that head.If the edge of the crown is hitting the head than either that head was shaved down pretty good and that head gasket is a .021 or that base gasket you have is like a .012 or something.Either way if you measure the deck height and all the rest and do some math than you can get the ballpark of what thickness base gasket and or head gasket you need to get the proper squish clearance you need My bad i assumed that the compression check was done with another head gasket on.So yes your compression numbers would be real low in that case with no head gasket. And also after just thinking while typing this,You heard the piston slap the head when you checked the compression with no head gasket on? Because that right there could be the cause of your piston hitting the head...they do make different thickness head gaskets also. Sorry if it is a stupid question but i'm just trying to clear things up a bit

squish is too tight man.Did this guy even run this set up or just slap it together and sell it? You need a thicker base gasket. And 100 psi is very low.May be time for some new rings too

I havn't personally ran this particular set up but i hear good things on them. Some people arn't a fan of vito's products but i had a 4 mill monoblock cylinder pushing in the range of over 100 hp.I wouldn't hesitate to run another vitos cylinder, i was happy with it.

Jetting for 1000' elevation and 65 to 90 deg.
1996dragshee replied to bburg5's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
At 1000 ft i don't see you being over 300 mains. For stock pipes and no porting there really isn't a reason to be over 25 on your pilots. The idle is the least of your problem. That can be fixed with the turn of a dime.Stick with them 290s or 300s and lower the clip one notch. You're right around ballpark just gotta tweak it a bit. My ol' ladys banshee runs 190 mains and 27.5 pilot while my father in laws Banshee runs 300 mains and 27.5 pilots both piped,no porting, and air box drilled with K&N's.In Michigan about 750' above sea level i think and about 75 degrees...I know shit is way off but they both run friggin top notch lol -
Alright before i ramble on,are these the vito's bb sleeper cylinders or is this the monoblock? I thought it was the 404 monoblock but from what you stated about the head i'm assuming stock head so these would be the 68 bore sleeper cylinders? That 66 head gasket isn't the correct gasket for them cylinders.66 is still considered "small bore" . You need a 68mm head gasket, vitos has them. I would toss the head back on and check your squish and compression and go from there.Has the head been shaved? It could also be warped....

Possibly an air leak. What domes, compression and squish do you have? Edit: ditch the boost bottle and get a stock crossover tube.Better yet,get a billet intake to match that cylinder!

SLS 12pdl Haulers With Kevlar 73 roll out
1996dragshee replied to dco3100's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Definitely to much tire.If they were a smaller roll out say a 70 or so like the kevlars that Fouledout listed in the link above, they would be some what suitable. But being a 73 roll out for a dune port set up..man that is a lot of tire to turn. You could gear down but what's the fun in that when you would have to worry about keeping the front end down.Either way it's to much tire IMO -

Damn nobody wants this thing.... -
Lol what the fuck...This must be from one of them 4 mill banshees he lines up with on his honda

You're compression is right on the money. If you got spark, compression and fuel than it's just a simple problem.I would pull the air box lid and filter off and spray a couple shots of starting fluid to the carbs (thottle open) and give it a few good kicks. I'm kinda confused on the longer pilot deal though.I've never heard of that. Either way,if it starts on starting fluid at least you will know it is a fuel issue.

setting alcohol carbs back to gas
1996dragshee replied to JasonsBanshee's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
If they are in fact pwks than you are stuck with them being alky carbs. Once they are set up for alky there is no going back to gas on these carbs. As stated they are drilled and obviously you cant put the material back in. Contact the seller for a refund and/or open a claim stating they're not as described or just list them back up for sale staing what you know about them -
