  1. thanks guys. i have a test and tune at the track on tuesday and ill try about everything to get more top speed. thnx for the replys
  2. i dont know where you live but im in phx and hall's precision racing products does amazing work.
  3. gonna race a coworker on the 1/4 mile asphalt drag strip. ive got a banshee with the following............full drag ported and 65mm bore done by jerry hall, cool head with 19cc domes,vf2's,half inch reed spacers, trinity manifolds, keihin 36mm alky carbs, uni pods, custom drag pipes, wiseco prolite pistons, welded and trued stock crank, stock trans. he is racin with a sv650s which is a suzuki street bike with a 90 degree v twin. only aftermarket part is a yoshi slip on pipe. i know those things put out right at 70 hp. my only concern is his gearing. obviously they are geared for higher speeds and thats where i think he might get me. anyone have any suggestions for gearing. i know i need really tall ratio but i dont know what numbers to throw on. what do you guys think my chances are of taken this guy?
  4. they are keihn. and is this really gonna f up my top end?
  5. hey guys i just rebuilt my engine. got a mild port, wiseco prolites, stock stroke,18cc domes,vf2's,keihn 36mm alky carbs, trinity stage 4 intakes, dyna fs ignition, drag pipes. well to my question. i want to know where i should start with the tuning. i just put powerjets on the carbs. i think phx is around 1600 feet above sea level. can anyone help me out?
  6. try unplugging that kill/light switch. that went out on mine and it did the same thing. it took me a week with a meter to figure it out.
  7. srry man, my mistake, i thought it had a set on there. good luck with the sale man.
  8. well all i can say is that i have that same set up and i run br8es in it. i have never had a problem with it. my take on it is i would rather damage a coil or the wires with resistor plugs than to damage the cdi without resistor plugs. coil is a a lot cheaper than the cdi.
  9. ya ill definetely look into that. ive been swapping carbs between the alkys and my bored stock mikunis depending on what i was doing that day. can you recommend any carbs youve liked?
  10. well i guess that answered my question. thanx a lot man. that probably just saved me a lot of time.
  11. have a set of 36mm keihn carbs converted to alky that ive been running for about 3 or 4 months. i would like to convert them back to gas since im getting more into mx now than drag racing. does anyone know what all i need to convert these back?
  12. let me know if the carb sale falls through cuz im interested
  13. would you sell the spark arrestors? and does it have a cool head?
  14. im very interested in the head and if the filters are for 36mm pwks i would love to have those too. let me know
  15. ya i thought the same thing at first but i replaced them when i checked the cylinders.
  16. i had the same problem with mine not too long ago. it turned out to be the kill switch and the cdi. unplug the kill switch and see if it will run. if not i would guess it would be the cdi. if you replace it go with the dyna fs.
  17. ya im pretty positive its comin from the cylinder cuz if i cup my hand over the silencer it muffles the sound. my motor is mostly stock. stock porting. its got a 50 over set of pro lites in jerry hall cylinders. head shaved 20 thousandths. stock carbs with 300 mains and 25 pilots, v-force 2, trinity manifolds.. dyna fs programmable cdi which is set at stock curve and my timing is only advanced 2 degrees. oh and a set of t-5's. checked the reeds yesterday and they are all in good shape. no cracks or anything. and i run 103 vp with royal purple 2 stroke at 40:1
  18. i checked the plugs and they were a bit rich. i leaned it out a little and it still does the same thing. ill check the reeds tonight. thanks
  19. bump---i really need some help guys. im stumped
  20. my banshee the last few rides has started to make a loud popping sound just in the left cylinder. the bike will idle fine and it still screams on the top end. i took off the head and checked the cylinders to make sure it wasnt detonating and it looks perfect. any ideas. i really want to get rid of this noise. thanks
