  3. Hey Dan: Check this out for jetting www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html between above jetting page and the guys here you should get a good understanding of banshee jetting. ps your reeds should arrive on monday(tomorrow)
  4. It's probably a little harder to diagnose a problem if a you do 2 mods at once effecting the same mechanics. Anyways I'm looking for help again. I installed a used set of V force reeds (3's) and reinstalled stock carbs with modified slides. Also I went to a smaller pilot jet, 27.5 from a 30(it started better with the 30's but was running rich with air screws turned out 1.5) because I was aticipating more efficent air flow.I have no porting, but I do have a cool head w/ 20mm domes @ 156psi per cylinder. It starts first kick even when cold (happy about that), but its reving very high now.I got it to come down a little by turning the air screws in and idle screws out, but not enough. 30 pilots always seemed a little rich for what I have, but should I reinstall them?I hope I,m not sucking air by a leak! I also have fatties & prodesign air filter w/ no air box. Another question is when I posted earlier about cold starting someone said to turn air screws out 1/2 half to 3/4out from seated postion(it worked) but was told not to leave air screws there. I never asked why not? Is it possible that now their is so much more air flow that their is not enough gas to go with it? If thats true no wonder everybody praises flat slides or D slides!

Truely spoken 04le, the bible speaks of blindness as a matter of choice which WILL lead to a seared conscience. Other terms the bible uses are "stiff necked" or "hard hearted".I also see that God will hardened their hearts even more (pharaoh) to use them to a "means to an end", The worldly term is useful idiot.Science is bringing this to light also, circular thinking (know as looping logic)can effect grooves in thinking that are almost impossible to break out of.A warning to all of us, to think out side of the box for growth(not the same as change, banging your head at a different angle still brings the same result). It brings to mind Madalyn Murray O'hara's life and the mess that it was, with a tragic end. Thank God's mercy for saving her son. HD CAN'T even recognize that there are 2 testaments, old deal, old testament and predicted new deal, new testament.I'm guessing tragic childhood no father then the choice not to break free because of fear.Cause and effect are reason enough not to be able to communicate.Nothing, but hopeless despair and moodyness to look forward to.

I of course always find humor in those who feel the need to grandiose themselves. And to expose others to your so called gift Is risky indeed because then you may be held to that standard and embarrassed. So if your mentality is superior to most how come you don't comprehend the obvious flaw in a premise that is redundantly stated by unbelievers on this thread ie: that believers on this topic believe that God can be proven! You missed that several times. Is it that your so impressed by what you have to say, that you wait to talk instead of wait to listen.Bright people are a dime a dozen. The most impressive people are those who care for others by deed and truth. quote: Needless to say we know almost every aspect of the human body and how we grow. I'll be quoting this one at Pfizer tomorrow! Who gave you your IQ test HD :yelrotflmao:

HD check these out : answersincreation.org bibleandscience.com Iv'e given these to my atheist buddies(believe it or not I do hang with them)I told them aleast they can argue better with me or at parties. sorry there is no link I'm an idiot with a computer
  17. I got about 100 hrs or more on mostly stock shee(fatty pipes, timing,no air box pro design and soon to have more)and I still have 130 psi on both cylinders. I run 40 to 1 w/mobil syn. 2 stroke.
  18. hey spike, since you're modifying your stock carbs I'll tell you what I'm trying this weekend I have seen alot of posts talking up the benefits of a flat slides and d slides. What I got out of their posts is that there is some negative side effects of having a round slide. The theory goes that air will stream in at a higher level(front cut out on round slide)then hit a wall(the back lower part of the slide) causing downward air pressure and turbulence occurs adding to air restriction (kind of like wind that gets diverted by a corner of a wall making little whirl winds)I think thats why flat slides are used(not positive though).I came across another product ufo's, basically to fill in the hollow wind tunnel up inside the round slide. I don't think it cures all turbulance because it just eliminates some of the area up in wind cavity leaving some lower wall exposed(back of round slide)plus there 60 stupid bucks. So I had a idea that might make a smoother air transfer under the slide and maybe even cause some velocity.I'm going to shove the right diamater cork into the bottom of the slides(corks used to be used for floats in carb bowels) and use high temp silicone to hold it in place and it won't ruin your slide(if it doesn't work). Then I will cut the cork to follow the lower edge of the slide. 1st by following the front cut out then chopping the cork that extend below the bottom of the slide. After that I'll smooth out the cork with fine grit sand paper and maybe sand a smooth groove from top to bottom, front to back to try to create a little more velocity. Then clean well.I picked up some cork stoppers today w/ 1" dia. I was able to find two that were dense(at least visibly)so they had no air pockets characteristic of cork. There has been tons of study on air flow, maybe some roughness is good but walls aren't.Should be a fun project. If you want I'll let you know how seat of the pants test goes! ps. oh yeah you'll have to drill a centered hole through the cork for the needle, small as possible w/no dragging on the cork. You also need some small slots cut in the side to accommodate guides in carb body.razor blades might work for that . I'm going to get longer needles too.

  21. Hey spike, I had a similar post to yours I didn't get a responce either. You can do a search to find out more about boring. I'm going to try oval boring (27mmx29mm)and I know you have to be careful not to go to wide because of air leaking around slides effects the idle (thats what I've read anyways) On your search you will find some guys who know something about this. pm them and they will be glad to help you.Let me know how it works out for you!

This is the worst post I have ever read... and it has nothing to do belief in God. Have you ever talked to a child who goes to great lengths to convince you of their truth in a concept with such sincerity and you just stand back and smile at the little heydipper. You make STUFF up as if you have never read a single definition in your life. We must have a common definition of terms or else there will be no communication (just illusions of it). 1st, the most important aspect of faith is not faith, it's the object of that faith. 2nd it's real simple faith means TRUST. Of course faith is virtuous. Are you telling us that if you loaned your buddy some needed money on monday. It's not virtuous to have faith in him (based upon a relationship that has a good track record) to pay you back on friday in which you have no PROOF that he will pay you back?(because it hasn't happened yet) Not only is faith virtious,it's just plain smart! We act in faith hundreds of times a day, everytime you sit in a chair you trust it will hold you up. Also you might want to look up what will have if you don't have faith (antonym). It's called cynicism and to have that attribute is real intellectual weakness! a disparaging 30 point difference equals no communacato. ps. no I never said I wouldn't respond to you in non religous matters. Especially if I can teach you something. I tried to dumb this post down as much as I could.

    ufo's

I figured flat slides were for real in performance(I don't know what D slides are) and I'm trying not to spend much money this year (kids & stuff), but like I said I can do it for a buck! And I,m having a lot of fun trying to squeeze out any ponies I can for cheap. Today I got a used set of v force 3's for free(almost gotta send stockers out for exchange)
  25. I'm not sure if I should have posted on jet & exhaust but here goes.I was doing a search for carb stuff and came across a thread talking about these ufo's basically a filler to smooth transfer of air to jetting area under and through a round carb slide.I guess to make it more like a flat slide. To create better velocity and less turbulance. Sounds good in theory (like boost bottle)but, does it work?Any body have any opinions or evidence on this. I would not spend the 60 bucks to try this, but I think I could make them myself for about a dollar. Think it's worth a try?
