  1. Dude DONT use starting fluid thats one good way to kill a crank use cab cleaner.
  2. ya its there. The choke is doing something cause if i pull it while its running it shuts the motor off.
  3. I bought a compression guage today and all looks fine there. It's 110 and 115. As for the pilot jet I pulled the carb with the choke off the other day to see if the bowels were switched and before i put it back on i blew it out with some cleaner. I am really begining to think that the choke just isnt working. Would it be the choke lever? Should I take it out ? What I have been doing is starting it with some carb cleaner when its cold.
  4. I think thats were my problem is. It isnt a stock swing arm so the manual isnt much help. Now the question is what kind is it? ugh!
  5. I was told this has an extended swing arm. How can I tell if it is and how long it is?
  6. Not that i seen. They looked good. They only other thing i can think of is the rings. I dont thave the extra cash this week for the compression gauge. On a different note. I am looking at the OEM manual I found on the internet trying to see how to adjust the chain but the pictures are to dark. Course I dont think it is a stock axle. I see one side were it slides but for the life of me i cant see how to adjust it. BTW if anyone wants this manual for free download you can find it at. http://www.sandwizards.com/Main.htm Under Tips and Tricks. With all the Shee owners I dont see why the other one isnt scanned to CD for everyone to be able to download. For all the $$$ we spend on these we should be able to get the book for free.. hahaha
  7. HOw do you test the reeds to see if they are bad? When I got it i noticed that one of the bolts were loose so i pulled off both reeds and looked at them. I did see anything wrong with them.
  8. I checked the carb bowels and they are put on right. Time for the manual.
  9. its all good man. Nice ride you have there. I see you have a temp gauge on it. That was something I was wondering if could be done. I found were to get it from. How do you like yours? I am a newbie when it comes to the shee's. I have some newbie questions like. What should I be mixing the gas at? I have been mixing it 31:1. I know the motor needs to be rebuild. Barings anyhow. It has a knock to it I dont like. I think this chain is a little to loose. But I dont see how to tighen it up. Goes back to needing a good manual. The OEM isnt much help.
  10. Yes i tried the choke and no luck. As for the gas being on once it is running i ride the hell out of it. So if the gas was off I dont think I would be able to do that. I agree about the manual. I have the OEM one and it blows. Time for a good one.
  11. I will get a good compression tester. I was just wondering if that would cause the cold start problems. I have only had this 2 weeks now and I dont know any of the history. The guy that had this before me had no clue and should have never owned this in the first place. I do plan and rebuilding the motor I just would like to get through the summer. As for the cross over tube yes it is there. All in all it runs good. When I get done with it, it will be one sweet machine! The owner before the one i got this from took care of it. Did mods to it like lone star front end, Cool head, Toomey pipes, extended swing arm.
  12. Hi eveyone. I am having a problem with my 2000 Banshee 350 and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I have to dump fuel in the head to get it started when it is cold. After it fires the first time it will fire right up. I am thinking it might be a problem with the rings. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you
