  1. Yeah the gap is correct that was one of the first things I checked. I unplugged all the T.O.R.S. wires Replaced the T.O.R.S. carburetor caps with the normal ones and installed the idle screws, am I missing something?
  2. I finally got my Banshee back from the shop, I sent it there 2 weeks ago because I couldn't figure out why there was no spark. I ended up replacing the wiring harness with a new one because they thought that was the problem, but that didn't work. So then I got a new ignition coil they put it on and that still didn't work. Then they thought it was the stator, I ordered a new 200 watt stator with adjustable timing plate from Ricky Stator they put it on yesterday tried to fire it and guess what it didn't start, no spark. I brought it home and spent about 3 hours trying to get it to start but no luck  . Does anyone have any idea why my Banshee has no spark. Almost all the electrical system is new now. If I can't find a way to get it started I am going to have to send it to a different mechanic. I haven't ridden my Banshee for about 2 months now, I am going to die over here if I can't ride it soon. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  3. You should make sure you have all your teeth for the dunes, the ladies don't really like men with no teeth.
  4. Yeah I am not a big fan of reading one sentence over and over until I figure out what it was meant to say. I am pretty sure that the plastics are the Silver ones by Meir. They look a lot like the plastics I have on my Banshee, just Blaster style.
  5. I think you should learn how to spell and type correctly before you tackle something like that.
  6. The Pros would probably have to be revving up quicker, the cons would have to be that it would be much more prone to stalling at lower speeds because the lighter flywheel doesn't as hold as much spinning mass to keep the engine running. Thats all I can think of rite now there may be more pros and cons.
  7. Oh, I see were you put it. Nice location. I couldn't do that thought because I don't have an air box. I removed my radiator overflow bottle so maybe I will cut out the plastic to fit the battery there, and just run it independently of the Banshee electrical system and just have it running to the Vapor computer. I am sure that computer doesn't suck up to much energy. I would just have to make sure I charge it every now and then.. Thanks for the heads up on the battery thing I didn't know about that.
  8. I have the A-Arms from them and they work extremely well. I chose to save money and get Works shocks to go with them and those shocks do very well with the A-Arms, I don't race but I do ride very hard and my combination of A-Arms and shocks works great. And it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
  9. Hey awsome banshee, how do you like the Vapor computer? I was just lookin into getting one. I liked it alot becuase it has the RPM gauge and the shift lights.
  10. I just did the same thing as you and I am having exactly the same problem, I have race fuel in it and the right cylinder pops and smokes but the left does nothing. After a week of frustration I sent it to my local shop, they said it was my wiring harness and my ignition coil. I had them order a new harness and coil. It wont be finished till tomorrow so I don't know if that will fix it.
  11. Can You make a full graphics set for the banshee, I am looking for some tribal style flames. I have tried to find them before but now one has them for a Silver Banshee.
  12. I found Jewelers Rouge at my local specialty hardware store "Hank's Hardware". You can find it online to even kits.
  13. Well if you decide against sending them off I can tell you how to do it. You need: *A polishing wheel or two. *180-600 grit sand paper. *Jewelers Rouge: Brown, White, and Red. *Mothers Aluminum Polish (or any brand you prefer) *A Lot of time. >Fist you need to take off all the paint and primer of whatever your polishing and get it down to bare metal, You can sand it down or sand blast it (which is way easier and faster). >Then you need to start with the lowest grit sand paper and sand the whole thing till its smooth, after using the lowest grit go to the next one up, and so on. Until you get to 600 grit. >Next apply the Jewelers Rouge to the polishing wheel and go over the entire thing until its nice and shiny then wipe of the extra rouge and apply the next rouge, and do the same with the next. Start with Brown, then White, then Red. >Then clean off all of the rouge using something like Simple Green or WD40 (i found those take of the rouge the easiest) >Finally polish it using the aluminum polish. That should be it. I found that it is very difficult to get into the tight areas. If I had to do it again... I wouldn't, I would send it off; It just took to much time and it still didn't come out perfect, but if your low on money and have a lot of time like I did then do it yourself.
  14. I got the Clymer's Manual so I was able to fix the Kick starter.. I got spark, Compression, Fuel, and Air.. And it still wont fire  . I still think it may be an electrical issue. Maybe no power to the cdi, idk. It pops every couple kicks but no matter how much i kick it it won't start. I have looked over the electrical diagrams and traced my wires, and everything appears to be correct. I'm going to bring it to my friends engine builder/banshee guy to take a look, hopefully he will figure it out.
  15. I got the front bumper from Alba Action Sports They don't sell it anymore though.. At least not on there online catalog were I got it.
  16. The Plastics are not painted. The grab bar is made by Cobra ATV, here is a link to it. This is the place that I bought it at. http://www.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/prod...tion_Path~3.asp
  17. Well it sounds to me like you guys do to much talking and not enough riding. Just ride what you have and have fun with it. Someone will always have a faster banshee.
  18. Well currently it wont start at all, Not enough spark  ... It will only spark sometimes and even then very little. I think I know what may be causing it but I haven't had the time to fix it and try starting it again. I'm going to try and re-wire the whole thing, I already removed T.O.R.S. but I want to move the CDI and the regulator to the front to shorten the whole harness.. Also does anyone have a picture or a walk through of how to install the kick starter, it came off during the build and I tried to put it on the way I remembered but every time I kick it the gear goes to far and the kicker wont come back.. That why the kick starter is so low. I looked in the Yamaha service manual but I couldn't find anything that could help me. I ordered the Clymers manual but I haven't got it yet so I don't know if Ill find anything that will help me in there.. Any help would be appreciated.
  19. The grab bar is from a brand called Cobra ATV, I have got a lot of good comments on it everyone loves the flag mount location.. rite in the middle. I was thinking of getting some Toomey T6's I hear there some of the best rite now. Theres still a lot of things I would love to do to it, I just don't have the money. I spend almost every paycheck i get on that thing lol.. Hey if anyone has any suggestions just post em I like getting new ideas.
  20. I just finished polishing my cylinder heads, the head, and my crank case, its a lot of work... 21. I have been working on my Banshee for a while now and it is 95% done.. Just cant get the damn electrical to work :ermm:.. I rebuilt the top end of the motor, replaced the clutch, had the frame painted, removed T.O.R.S. and got some nice moose carburetor caps, polished the cylinder heads and the head and the clutch cover, rebuilt the carburetors, and a bunch of other misc. stuff.. heres some pictures of my banshees progression from when i bought it to how it is now.. Tell me what you think! =THE BEGINNING= =AFTER THE CRASH= (after it was tore down a bit and the frame was painted) =AFTER THE FIRST BUILD= =THE SECOND TEAR DOWN= =THE TEAR SECOND DOWN= (picture two) =ALMOST FINISHED PRODUCT= =ALMOST FINISHED PRODUCT= (picture one) =ALMOST FINISHED PRODUCT= (picture two) =ALMOST FINISHED PRODUCT= (picture three) =ALMOST FINISHED PRODUCT= (picture four)
  22. So far it seems as though orange is the favorite. I personally am leaning towards orange myself.. That orange with a pearl flake idea sounds like it will look good. It will be a couple of days before I paint it so I still have more time to decide. Keep the ideas coming!
  23. I haven't used the shock covers for a while now, I still like them though. I think I would probably get sick of the lime green frame. I am really leaning towards a high flake orange, blue, or red. Maybe even a fade from blue to red or orange to red.
