i am going to ring a place on monday that sells these fuels that is about 10min away from me. hopefully they will sell it to me. the fuel i get on pump i found out is only RON 98 not RON + MON/2 so really its probably only 91 anyway here are 2 links can i use this fuel if i can get it? link 1 link2

once again firehead thanks for your input it back together now im going to run with it. the only thing i did was put the dome with the pits on the other side so that i have a fresh dome over the piston with the pit i will pull the head off again in a couple of rides to hopefully find the smooth dome is still smooth. does this sound like a good way of check that debris is goon or its still not sucking it in?

i took the head off because i was advise to my a few people on here to check the orings of my head when i had an over heating problem also what is FOD?

nar i didnt kil the engine i done the rebuild for porting reasons i have a head with 21cc domes +4 timing dune port . boyeson power reeds mod quad intake standard carbs dual stge foam filter with power lid and dmc alien pipes if it was detonation wouldnt it be on both pistons and yes the dome has little pits aswell also i running 98 ron octance fuel best i can get on pump in OZ

i know a couple of places to get it but u need a special licesence to buy it and it is $70 for 20litres thats crazy

ok i know there are alot of negatives on here about octane boosters but some people just cant get race fuel so im just curious to see if any body has actually used it sucessfully. and if any problems actually arose

buffing wheels and the right compunds i have a bench grinder set up with 2 buff wheels one side for stainless steel the other for aluminium they are 6inch by 100leaf i have about 5, 4inch buff for a drill and some 1inch one for my dremel this cover all bases

octane rating question and ethanol

that really sux you know we pay a hell of a lot more for fuel than you guys over here and it isnt even as good of quallity -
im from australia just curious when yas are talking on here about octane in fuels available at the pump eg 91 and 93 what octane rating are these based on RON or MON just curious about the fuel available here they are rated on RON 91 95 and 98 mainly asking because a fuel has just become available with an RON octane rating of 100 alao will fuels with 5% ethanol be bad for my shee

my next mods i thinking about are v force 3s from what i have read these are one of the best bang for your bucks. i will be doing away with boyeson power reeds on stock cages. will i notice the difference between them performance wise? but im also considering some new 28mm carbs bored to 30mm off ebay they are kehien copys (oko) from carbspartswarehouse. the only thing im worried about is if these will clear the clutch arm. im not running reed spacers and i dont want to i have the modquad billet intake will built in cross over this intake is fairly thick so i dont want to have to put in reed spacers if i dont have to. i have already had to modify my rear plastics to fit in the over bootle becasue of how thick to modquad intake is it pushed the carbs and airbox etc back . so i think i have just answered my own question this would be the same as reed spacers the added thickness is just actually on the intake to clear the clutch arm. am i correct??

i have the power lid only been on for 2 rides im loving it so far -
to also make things worse i have just discovered a cracked and bent ball joint on my denton racing a arms so i have to get one of these as quick as possible so i can go check my jetting my luck has to get better soon i hope

i check the water pump by giving it a kick whilst i had the water pump cover off whilst checking head orings( i had to drain the coolant anyways. is this the best way to check or not? what is also funny is that winter is coming here in australia any every body cant wait because summer is just to hot here to ridde where from what i have read on here every body in the usa is getting ready for summer riding also the lack of WOT in 4 , 5,6 gear would be a cause of richness am i correct because at the moment it was running better before i got the porting and coolhead
