  1. ^^^^^^ What he said. Bens how to is the best and easiest to understand, IMO. Print it out and keep it in your clymers. Read it all and then read it again. As far as 310's with clamp ons I would suggest something in the 340 range. I ran 310'a with a pro design foam filter and no lid. 340 or so and you'll be good to go.
  2. ok who wins? 10 Fullsize Chuck Liddels or 1 mini Ditka?
  3. Is that the one in your sig. John?
  4. On my 99 I run T-5's with pods, 340 mains, 27.5 pilots, dynojet needle clip in the middle, airscrew 1 1/2 turns out. Runs strong all the way through the gears and will idle all day.
  5. My little guy was riding the trails behind my house Thursday evening. Went out at about 700/p or so and was to be home by 8. He left with the neighbors' kids, two boys, about 12, the sister, about 16 and her boyfriend, about 17. He was on the 99 Banshee, which he has ridden for two summers now. I always go with him when he rides, and if I dont my oldest son, who is 17 does. So he leaves and they're at some sand mine in the woods and go on some trail rides. He says he's coming down one trail and the idiot girl cuts him off, never looking or seeing him and just continues on. He turned his wheel to the left , and messed up and hit the front brake and the Banshee went up and over. He flew off and the bike pretty much ran him over, cracked him in the face and rolled over him, knocking him out. The best part was he was there about 10 minutes and it never dawned on the group he was riding with that he wasnt with them. Assholes. A neighbor drove over and told me what happened, I check him and he's ok but the bike is bent up. He trashed the grab bar and handlebars. The rear of the frame that holds the grab bar is bent down at about a 45 degree angle. At the hospital he gets a cat scan and x-rays of his chest and leg, nothing broken. I'm pretty shookin up all night about it. The next morning I pick up the paper and a 41 year old guy from my area is in WV riding, falls off and dies on the spot. Man. Sorry for the rant, but it could have been so much worse and I feel like beating the older kids asses for not checking on the kid.
  6. If you have a pic send it to [email protected]. WIth the scrapes, 20 bucks shipped and I'll send out the check tonight.
  7. Is the grab bar straight? If so pics to [email protected]. 30 bucks shipped right?
  8. I need a straight grab bar. How much shipped?
  9. Ditto. Get rid of that air box and get some K & N pods. Just for a point of reference for you, on my 99 I run T-5's, K & N's with 340's and 27.5 pilots. I would imagine CPI's are going to be in the 360-380 area.
  10. Heres what I did:
  11. Agreed. Ben's jetting FAQ's is the easiest, most user friendly jetting explaiantion I have found. Taught me a lot when I first came in here around 01 or so. Just read it and when you're done, read it again.
  12. Nice looking bike you got there Brian. How do you like the rockets?
  13. Takes it in the ass from abnormaly short underage clown midgets.
  14. My 94--Stock plastics painted black
  15. T-3's are good pipes. Keep them on. Again, stock carbs? Pull them off and tell us what jets your running, mains and pilots. With the lid on the air box with the stock carbs it should be somewhere around 280's on your mains, stock pilots are 25's. Turn your air screws in all the way and then back them out 1 1/2 turns. If you want to keep your stock pipes on, although I cant imagine why, you should be in the neighborhood of about 210-220's mains.
  16. dirt? pavement?
  17. Porting is the wild card here. I could not get my 01 running for anything when I first got it. It had stock carbs, SST's and a play port from GRR. I tried everything, every possible combo of mains, pilots and needle clip positions, it always ran like dick. I put some 33's on and eureka, runs like a raped ape now. Its gonna take alot of trial and error. Good luck.
  18. Thanks. I went out and got me a 1000 wat dimmer. All better now. But geez, 52 bux for a friggin dimmer.
  19. Just gotta add my 2 cents here. I say T-5's. Down the road you will get her ported, trust me. You'll have your bike ripping, beat everyone around. Jetted perfect, carbs synced just right, crisp all the way through. Then a bud of yours, or some dude who just spent 400 bucks on a port will spank yer ass. That is when the mania starts. You'll see. Good luck. You found the right place though for your machine and just about everything else. With a shee think 3 steps ahead.
  20. Alright, I really am an idiot when it comes to electrical shit. If I have 15 40W lights in a fixture do I add them up? If I do its 600W. So, if I put 30 W bulbs in I'm at 450W and20W I'm at 300? Right?
  21. Thanks. The dimmer is rated for 600W I think. The Chandelier has about 15 40W lights on it. I'm not sure what the chandleier is putting out. You have a guess with that many lights?
  22. Ok, I just had a chandelier hung in my foyer when you walk into my home. I just put a dimmer on the switch for it. Its a 2-way, you can turn the chandelier on from upstairs and down. The problem is this, when I dim the light I hear a buzzing sound, the dimmer I make the lights the louder the buzzing is. Also the switch plate is warm to the touch after the chaendelier was on for about 2 hours. Whats the problem here? Thanks. Bob
  23. Gimme a link fellas
  24. OK. How about if we had 10 mini Ditakas and one full size Norris. Now who?
