  1. Have you unplugged your tors and parking brake? If not start there. What carbs/jets are you running? Pipes? Give some more info.
  2. Yup, your are correct sir. Been awhile since I messed with the needles on that bike. Been messing with the 2002 for the past 2 summers, so thats the bike I know like the back of my hand at this point. That thing is a real bear to tune right.
  3. Sounds like you got it. You just jetted the way I have for years. Jet down, or up until the bog stops and be done with it. As far as your pilots go FMF does like a bigger pilot. Now go out and ride that thing!
  4. Just for a point of reference, on my stock 99 with just T-5's, cool head , v-force II's and k & N pods with outer wares I'm running 340 mains with 27.5 pilots and the Toomey (dynojet) clips in the middle. Runs perfect. Your mains sound way big.
  5. Well once again, another smooth transaction with John. Got a chance to meet lil NYUK as well as Mrs. NYUK. Good thing lil NYUK looks like his mom. Just kidding John, congrats on the new crib and the great family.
  6. Can you post up some pics? My 99 is a bit bent since my little guy took it for a tumble last year. I got the frame about right, but the rear fenders still look a bit on the droopy side. BTW, is that a purple frame you got on that there shee? Looks good.
  7. I remember a few years back someone found a place that had a repair brace or something for saggy rear fenders. Anyone have any info. If I remeber correctly it was some sort of insert that you put on the inside of the rear fenders to stiffen them up a bit. Thanks. Bob
  8. John, what do you want for the dura blue axle? Condition? Thanks.
  9. I just tapped the clutch arm down with a hammer on both of my bikes with 33s. Absolutely no problems.
  10. Do a search for Shearer pipes here. Same pipe.
  11. I have a bike with T-5's thats stock port, a ported bike with CPI's and a ported bike with SST's. When the T-5 bike was mine, (its now one of my sons) I would race a friend with PC's, pretty much the same mods as I had at the time, which were pipes, reeds and tires, if I remember right. He would get me out of the hole but I would catch up, by then the race was over. Now, my bike with the CPI's, believe it or not will lug around the best of all my bikes. Its an aggressive dune port with 33's etc but still decent low end with some timing advance and just runs great. The bike with the SST's is a pain in the ass to tune, but it runs good when it runs, if you know what I mean. As far as sound goes the Toomeys sound the best of all my bikes. Fit and finish wise Toomey is about the best your gonna get. The chrome is outstanding and they hold up great. I would suggest toomeys over PC's, just from my experience.
  12. Clean it up big time. Spend some time. Lube the chain, armor all the plastics and tires, degrease everything, etc. That'll sell. Its gotta be clean for flea bay.
  13. I opened it up and Beetlejuice popped out and started running around acting crazy.
  14. As is his M.O., great seller and just a real good guy. Thanks bud. Oh, kick your mailman in the nuts for me.
  15. It'll stay stock till he rides or hears another bike with Toomeys, CPI's, FMF's etc. It wont take long. I said the same EXACT thing in 99 when I bought my first ever Banshee (still have it). Gonna keep it stock, its fast enough. Yeah right. I'm sitting on 3 Banshees now, 2 ported. It grabs you by the balls. Congrats and welcome. You found the best site out there for everything Banshee related, and much, much more.
  16. You should be about right. I'm pretty sure I ran 300's with no lid, pro flow plate and a foam dual stage filter on my 99 with T-5's. BTW, why did you switch out the Rockets? What did you do with them. Did you like them?
  17. Will do thanks bud. You hear from Big Will lately? Has he been riding? I gotta give him a shout.
  18. Anywhere from 280-310's with maybe 27.5 pilots depending on how your bike does in the lower RPM's.
  19. Thanks a bunch bud. I'm still trying to find spots around here for a few hits. Havent been out yet this season and usually been out a dozen times or so already. Hope I dont have to sell the Shees and buy a grand national to tool around with/on.
  20. whatever you feel comfortable with. Its your bike, you know it, just ride it and have at it.
  21. If you're asking about the single K & N vs the twin k & n's I honestly couldnt tell you. I did notice a difference from a single uni filter and outer ware to the pods. I think, 2 carbs need 2 filters.
  22. yeah, thats what I was thinking. Gonna be asking for directions soon.
