I know your from NJ, and I feel the same way too, I won't lick any of these crook's nuts by casting a vote for them, sitting home and jerking off was by far a much more productive morning.
-
[rant] Sorry dude, I guess you don't live in NJ. An independent won't win here so I don't waste my time voting for them anymore. And the politicians here(like many places) are gigantic crooks. New Jersey probably has more assholes and theives per capita then any other state. I will not cast a ballot for a fuckin' crook, and I no longer waste my time with independent candidates. I'm sorry, but if I were even to care, it would just make me more upset to see these cocksuckers lining their pockets with my hard earned dollars. Sorry dude, I gave up a while ago, I've heard the speech a million and one times about responsibility and all that shit, but I can't bare to cast a vote for a fuckin' crook, and I won't waste my time casting a vote for someone who won't get elected. Cool, I have SSTs on my 02, and I wasn't really impressed, they hit a little too high for an FMF pipe, and don't seem to make that much power when they hit. I have a set of powdercoated FMFs, I'll probably put them on my 02 and save the PT mids for my winter build. SO I probably won't have a good comparison until next spring. I saw your truck in the pic thread. Nice lookin, I used to have a '91 Sierra 2500 2wd. It had the bigger v8 in it, think it was like a 5.7 or so. Got rid of it a while ago, but it was a nice truck, no complaints, wish my Ford ran that nice.

Yeah, I only paid 25 or so for my Ricky Stator one, brand new from Ricky Stator. If you want to get away even cheaper you can just buy a degree key, it replaces the wooddruff key that attaches between the flywheel and crank.

Didn't vote, don't care, won't complain.

DONT Waist $50 at Chatsworth Off Road Park
LiftdT4R replied to Infamous039's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of chatsworth. Some asshole that works there bitched at me because I spun the tires on my truck coming in. It actually was an accident because the sand gets soft in one spot and I tried to pwoer through it. No one around, and this asshole says the trcuk was screaming throwing sand the whole way up. I was like yeah, fuck you ass clown. Paid my $50, and then went home an hour or so later cause it sucked. I had my 125 at the time too, and the MX tracks were sooo fucking crowded, people like riding on your ass the hole wya, and the douche at the gate kept letting people in. Anyway, now that my rant is done, the closest good trails I've ridden was Paragon, but yeah, Ive never been to Manchester or JC, when I get my bike back togther I wanna meet up there though! -
Soooo many people were ranting and raving about the PT mids, so I bought a set, havent had the chance to try them out yet, they are going on my 2001 when I build it ths winter. I've always ran FMFs, if your on a budget, you qill be able to find them a lot cheaper, especially used, then any other pipe. They have amazing low and mid range, but lack on the top end. I've never ridden anything with a hard low end hit then FMFs, and I loved the 2 sets I had for trail riding. The cheapest PT mids I found new here 599 with silencers, and bare metal, I also paid an extra 80 to have them PCed. The PC is cheaper then the chrome, and I think it hold up better, here's a pic of my PT mid headers: Like I said, I havent had a chance to run them yet, but I have heard tons of good stuf about them. I might even throw them on my 02 for a few winter runs just to se how they work out. How you liking the shee so far? Little bit faster then the blaster huh?

You guys mean my stock banshee won't go 100 m.p.h.? My dad's uncle's friend's co-worker's brother said he had a stock banshee that did a buck 10, so my stock banshee with a bad head gasket should do 100 no? EDIT: Shiat, now that I think about, my YZ does about 70 or so.

Got a pic? -
 The Banshee syndrome, I feel your pain man, I havent been out in weeks trying to save money for my 01 winter build.

Cool, I noticed that they have a lot of stuff on there, but I've only ever bought shocks from there. They have elkas too, but I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is. The a-arms they carry are albas, as long as you don't have to deal with alba, then they arent bad either. They were super cool when I ordered from them, and they had their stuff out quick. It's probably be worth it to call them up, and see if they can give you a package price on the arms and shocks if you want the albas. I would think they'd do somethin for ya. I'm sure there are a ton of reviews of different shocks here, thought I'd throw in my .02, but I'm sure there's a lot of readin' on here too. Good luck,

That, and makes sure you used NEW copper washers over the banjo bolts. The first time I did mine, I forgot to put back in the copper color gasket/washer before the banjo bolts, and all the brake fluid kept oozing out, drove me mad, then realized it. I found them and tried to re-use them, but one of the old one did the same thing. I don't really know where you have fluid oozing out of, your post was a little vague concerning that, but thought I'd share the info about the banjo bolts.

damn, can we get this thread moved to the roostin' room?

:: It's aftermarket, and trust me, you don't want one. They don't really do anything, it's basically one of the many snake oils when it comes to bikes. This has been discussed a lot, try searching on here and Yahoo, for the exact explanation of it's may downfalls, it has also been dicussed in great detail on a number of other forums also various web pages. The conclusion drawn from pretty much every source is that amp links are junk.

Yeah, if you got with +2 +1 arms you'll be making the bike 1 inch longer. So the -1 sort of cleans that up, it gives you a tighter turning radius, and some more traction in the rear. The drive wheels sit closer to the center of gravity, better for hill clims, and mjuddin' makes it into a wheelie machine on asphalt though. You can even go -2, but that seemed a little too much to me. The works shocks are a lot less, and a lot of people run them, I have never ridden the elkas to compare though. I like the works alot, the raptor that I rode with them, handled the whoops and trails nicely, he says he's run them for 3 or 4 years now and they held up nice. They also build them to your specs, riding weight, style, etc. I bought a set of dual rate rezzies for my shee that is apart. http://www.precisionpowersports.com had the cheapest prices I could find on new ones.
-
I bought Works with ressies, and LSR +2 +1s for my 01 buildup. I havent ridden them yet, but a buddie had the Works on a raptor, and I like them a lot. The price was right on them too, like 480 for the shocks, and I picked up the LSRs for 250 shipped on here. Price was the biggest factor for me, but Works does seem to make a good mid-range shock, not the best out there, but from my experience good for all around trails and woods. I'll probably either buy a Works shock for the rear with a -1 swinger, or just have my rear shock re-charged. Not sure on the rear yet. Alot of people run elkas up front. I havent heard any complaints, they seem to be a great shock too. I have never run them personally, but I know a lot of people have them here.

:yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: Damn skippy! I would grab a 12 pack, and watch that shit, they should have those promos that hype it up and everything, then like hype it up for another hour before they actually show it. That shit would be off the hook.
-
That will happen on the bare metal ones. The cheap fix is too wipe off the rust with some steel wool, and hit them with a high temp exhaust paint. Should be able to get it at Pep Boys or VatoZone. Looks like spray paint but made for high temps. I got my PTs and FMFs powdercoated with the high temp stuff(about $100), and I like it a lot, more color choices, and more durable too. You can also have them chromed but it's gonna run up there in price, or a ceramic coat(good for a few extra hp), but hard to find someone that does it, and it'll run up there in price too.
-
Nice shee, bump for ya. I bet that thing handles like a dream, would be an awesome woods bike.
-
Yeah, your jetting shouldn't change. With 300s mains, I'm guessing your running no air box right? You bought those trail ported jugs off ellison? Looks like I'm gonna have a little competition out here in NJ on the trails.
-
Damn dude, wish I was closer, I like that CR, 125s are my weapon of choice, and I've never owned a Honda bike before.
-
In NJ, even if it's in good shape and stock you probably won't be able to get more then 11, 1200 for the new style. I bought a 2002 shee here for 1150, in ok shape, and the balsters don;t seem to fetch a heck of a lot more. I know the price varies a lot by area though.
-
  If I were you, I'd take a percentage for that! Damn good advice.
-
Yeah, in order for me to be able to get my foot under it, the shifter is way too high, and will hit the stator cover. I played around with it again today, I adjusted the nets and everything. If I remember right a while back, someone said they used a shorter shifter, possibly one off another bike? Any info on that?
