  1. I had to vote for "the coolest guy ever" I havent had the pleasure of running across him yet, but from the shoutbox, this dude sounds like a tool.
  2. Glad to hear there was at least some sort of resolution in all this. On a side note, ALF, I'm diggin the new sig pic!!! Let's put this all behind us, and get up some more pics of that hot chick!!!!!
  3. Hey, I have a roundhouse swinger that I took off of a bike that I'm parting out. It looks to be shorter than stock, but I was wondering, do any of you guys know the measurement of a stocker? And how is it measured, overall length, or eye to eye? I havent owned a stock swingarm in a while, and I don't have one here. Thanks guys!!!!
  4. Bump, make me an offer, youd be suprised what I would take, I need theseparts gone.
  5. That's a good deal for sure! Looks like it will be a fun project!!
  6. Hey, what kind of jetting are you running? I used to run Keihin 28s, but I had a tought time getting them dialed in. I ran a 48 pilot and 140 main on a stock cylinder, with pipes and full air box, but that was the closest I could get it. They are a great design carb, I just could never find jetting specs for them.
  7. Set of stock cases, have no cracks or bends, not even the typical chain whack, does have a little wear around the crank area, PM me I have a ton of pics of both halves. Will cost about $20 to ship, so I'd like to get about $125 shipped, but I'm open to offers. Sprocket Hub, looks to be in good shape, splines were tight, costs $11.40 to ship make me an offer. Stock stator cover with stainless mounting set (missing one bolt) Costs $11.40 to ship make me an offer. Big Bar Clamp set, missing one bolt, costs $5 to ship, make an offer.
  8. Hey, I have some parts left from my partout, , I'm willing to deal on most of them just need them gone. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions, all prices are for MO, please add 5% for paypal. Billet Water Pumnp Cover 35 shipped. Front Hubs with Rotors, all seals and bearings look and feel fine, no play, PCed black, rotors look straight and have minimal wear, should clean up nice. Shoot me an offer, keep in mind these will cost $11.40 to ship. Front brake calipers, padfs have a little life left, worked fine when they were on the bike. Would like 35 shipped. Spindles, in good shape, welds are tight, not bent, BJs are not reamed, shoot me an offer, but I think these will cost at least $11.40 to ship if they fit in a Med Flat Rate Box.
  9. Hey, are you talking about these? http://vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/product.php?productid=11366&cat=0&page=1 They look pretty bad ass, and the price isn't bad at all on them. Do you run them? If so, what kind of luck have you had with them? Everything work ok and where did you find jetting specs? Some good info here, I've heard bad things and good things about Vito's, some of the bad stuff has made me shy away from them, but I would love to run a big bore setup, especially if they make a very reliable one that will pull hard for a trail bike.
  10. Bump for ya bro, that is a smokin' deal and a sick bike!!! Any more pics, I'm not in the market for a bike, but I would like to see some more shots of it.
  11. Definately not right. It is easy enough to package stuff, newspaper works the best, and it is completely FREE. I use newspaper to ship all my stuff and I've never had a problem, as long as you stuff the box, really well there are NO issues. USPS Flat Rate Boxes also work like a charm, and are FREE as well, you just pay the postage. With shipping being this easy there is NO excuse for crap like this, especially with all the money that was paid. Hopefully this dude will do something to make it right, he DEFINATELY should. I know the dude is from the Northeast, and if I run across him in my dealings around here, I'll definately mention something. Make it right bro!
  12. No problem brah! Should be there this week, I will be away until Wednesday so if you have any questions I'll get back to you then. Thanks!!!
  13. Probably not. The VIN isn't stamped into the frame it is etched. And it is very very easy to remove with sandblasting/PC. The best bet is if you know the VIN # buy a set of punches and punch it back in. As long as the bike has a VIN and it isn't registered as stolen there isn't a ehck of a lot cops can do about it. If your on public land than you may also have to be registered/insured depending on the state's laws.
  14. It's a big advantage. I was never big on 4 stroke sport bikes. I don't race, I just like tooling around, and I never really found any 4 strokes that were as fun to ride as a Banshee, even the Rappy 700s and new 450s. The 450s handle like a dream, but they just don't make power the way a shee does. The only 4 strokes I have ever owned were 4x4s, unless you can find an old Polaris 2 stroke 4x4 you really don't have much of a choice in that area.
  15. I used to have 2, but I sold one so I could build another one, which I havent started yet. I say buy another one. Now that you know how to work on it, a second one will be a breeze. I also like the fact that I only have to have spare parts for one type of bike hangin around.
  16. Good to know, I'll steer clear of there if I ever happen to venture back to Minnesota. I really hate that shit, NJ is pretty bad too, with all these do-gooder hippies down here.
  17. Nice Crown Vic!!! That sucks about the wreck, any pictures of the outside of the car now? Those cars are beasts, full body on frame, live axle, can't go wrong with the Panther platform. I heard a rumor that Ford would discontinue the Crown Vic in 2011, it would be a shame, it's the last car of it's kind.
  18. I've got a whole bunch a buddy of mine sent me.
  19. Hey, I might, but it depends on the price and what is all included. I've been wanting to do an RZ project for some time. Shoot me a PM if you have any details, I'm heading out of town tonight, but I'll be back on Wednesday.
  20. Bump, more stuff up!! Dealt with some HQ members already, will still give 10% Thanks guys!!!
  21. Hey, you might want to try posting this up in the sand section. Most XC and Hare Scramble guys are running through the woods, and some tighter trails. I don't know of too many XC sand races. Most people here are running close to stock length, and even some minus swingers.
  22. I still think that jetting sounds awfully rich. If your stock bore/stroke/port, especially with that altitude, with an airbox with a lid and stock carbs, I would definately say 270/280 mains with 27.5 pilots. I used to run almost exactly the same setup on my 2002, and I know a 280 was a little rich at sea level. The stator may indeed be bad, but I'm still thinking your jetting is pretty rich as well.
  23. Wow, you have a lot of parts into that bike, but from what are hear, they are very very worth it. The difficulty of finding parts, especially the PVs and the cylinders kind of deterred me, but I still keep my eyes open on craigslist here and e-bay. What are you going to be using the bike for? Trails, MX? That's going to be one bad ass shee.
  24. If the flywheel changing fixed your original problems, but not all the way, I would lean toward an electrical issue. I would test the stator with an Ohm Meter, as described in Clymers, the lighting coil on it won't matter a whole heck of a lot, but the ignition coil may be out of tolerance. Aslo I would check the ignition coil located on the front of the bike above the cylinders. Do you have TORS removed? If not I would suggest doing away with all that crap too. From the symptoms it sounds like an electrical issue, it isnt smoking excessively? And it is running fine up until it dies out right? If he electrical stuff is all original to 87 it is getting up there in age. EDIT: Forgot to add 310 mains sound very large, I'm thinking you should be running 270s/280s max with an airbox with a lid and PC pipes.
