  1. well I added the T5s and advanced the timing +4, I actually asked on here for jetting suggestions and every one pretty much said to go with 350 mains & stock pilot. it ran great for the first time I took it out but the second time I took it out was to glamis and it started doing it there then got worse. choke tube was also replaced. My elevation is about 800-900 feet,and any time I take carbs apart is one at a time,also jugs are dune ported.
  2. hey all heres my problem, bike starts up fine 2-3 kicks, I can take off from idle without giving it any gas at all, but then if i try to get on it -it sounds like it boggs out and wont rev up . If I slowly pick up speed it will eventually take off and rip like it should- for about 3-4 seconds then it falls on its face as if I let go of gas, after 2-3 seconds of nothing you can hear right side cylinder cutting in an out, left cylinder sounds like its running ok- but it revs up slow until it up to a certain rpm and takes off again for 3-4 seconds. if I try to rev bike in neutral it sounds like revs to 2000 rpm and stops, I have to snap throtle a couple of times to get it to rev up , but if I dump the clutch while its reved up it boggs out. it started doing it at glamis halloween weekend, brought it home and checked compression, 130-135 both cylinders,checked an cleaned both carbs-needle clip on 4th from top,340 mains,stock pilots, slides are correct(cutaway to filter) checked reeds-no cracks or bends, checked for air leaks and found none, replaced my coil, replaced plugs about 4 times checked gap on flywheel pickup. cant do a plug chop cause bike wont run good enough, took the bike out 2 weeks ago to see it ran better after rejetting from 350 to 340 mains and new coil-bike ran fine but I was only able to run about 15 minutes due a very windy day and I had to load up my bike for glamis,well got out to glamis last wednsday and bike ran like crap so I sat at camp for 6 days while my bike stared at me, I was temped to push it into the fire on new years eve, thanx for any help in advance. P.S. Im only takin one more shot at fixin this thing- next step is a four stroke, please help
  3. Hey all Ive got an 01 Kawasaki KX500 W/ Pro Circuit pipe,V-Force reeds and renthal bars that I want to get rid of to get a quad for my girl. Bike is for sale or trade.I want to get her something like a blaster, or a stock banshee, or if anybody has anything else good let me know.Thanx :beer: Will post pix soon

Im going trough this with my bike cause I replaced a broken engine case and bent frame ( along with a few other minor parts) I pretty much have to take it to CHP and have them inspect the bike-in complete running order, no partial bike- show them bills of sale for all parts,and approximate value of finished bike, then CHP will assign a VIN to my frame( it had no vin when I got it) then I should be able to register my bike.
  5. that sounds like its too rich, when I had stock pipes and put on clamp on K&Ns I only had to go up 1 jet size. thats just me though

  9. hey all im out in Oconomowoc,WI for training for work and I am bored out of my freakin mind. :baseball_sleep: I am here till the 27th and my bank decided to cancel my debit card so I have no access to any of my cash.I cant even go down stairs to the bar in the hotel to get a damn beer, plus I miss my shee. I even had my girl go to my garage and send me a pix of it to cheer me up.if anybody else has a "stuck in the middle of nowhere" story please share im here all weekend. ::

Hey guys not to hijack this thread but I am trying to add a picture to my signature but I dont know how to resize the pix. every time I try it just post it at full size and I know how iy gets annoying having to scroll side ways. I am using photobucket and I tried resizing to 25% of original but it shows up as full size, I am using the . Thanx :beer:
  16. Hey Jakehopt is right, we are getting off subject, Hey I know- How about a gas/electric hybrid Banshee with a flex capasitor for ignition system, and instead of being chain driven, make it work off a series of pullies for effeciency. -May the Force be with You-
  17. well I just got my T5s last week and my fenders are coming next week :thumb: , so shocks are the next thing on the list.

  21. Well I live in So Cal, and the highest Ive seen at the pump is 91 or 100 octane , and the difference is like $3 between the two. So Ill probably go with 20cc domes and run 100 octane, also is there a formula to figure out the final octane rating when you mix premium with race gas? But anyways I test ran the shee with the C12 yesterday before work, :baseball_w00t: I amost shit my pants, but I wanna keep stains off my seat, so I held it in. Thanx :beer:
  22. Well then Im just going to burn up the 5 gallons of C12 I just got then Ill go with a noss head. Ive actually heard alot of good stuff about the head and dlnoss, but hey all thanx a bunch for all the help you guys have given me :beer:
  23. Well there is a shop around my area that recuts combustion chambers on stock heads, I just gonna go and have them do it to my head, or I might just buy a cool head- if I do what size domes should I get for 100 octane, Thanx :beer:
  24. Thats actually one of the mods it had before I got the bike, but anyways I picked up some C12 race gas today and was wondering if I can run it 50/50 if I back off the timing thanx
