  2. hey guys, i just got done rebuilding engine an wanted to get a baseline idea for jetting.. stock stoke, mild dune port, stock head, boysen power reeds, stock carbs, no tors, stock airbox with K&N, lid on, toomy T5, im at approx 800 above sea level, but will be going to glamis this weekend. jets currently are 300 mains an 25 pilot, needle second clip from bottom, an air screw is 1 turn out. i can start bike easily, but have to have choke pulled to first position to get it to not bog or die when i give it gas. any help will be appreciated thanks in advance Jose

  5. hey guys im looking for a stock airbox for ma shee!! preferably in good to decent condition, dont care bout lid, but ill take it as well.. if it comes with Uni air filter, even better pm me here or text @ 951-385-9887 Thanks guys Jose

  7. ok cool! ill def be getting em when i go to put bike back together! thanks a bunch to all
  8. No coolant leaks here maybe I just been supper lucky... url I wanna get em for sure tho. I always had the coolant come out the overflow tube! Jetting is usually fairly good, I replace coolant every season cause its not that expensive, I gotta check ma impeller while I have it apart this weekend, an ma rad fins are ok condition. Ok so it want just me then running with out them. There is a small cavity in the top half of case.... wouldn't that allow for a small amount of more coolant to fit into cooling system if base basket were to have opening in it? Or would that maybe cause an issue with coolant flow?
  9. ive had the bike for about 5 years... done the top end 2 times, an ive never had a coolant leak! never even realized they were supposed to be there. i always put it back together the way it was before. guess i gotta go buy some just to be on the safe side... thanks abunch Dirty
  10. Hey guys i was reading a few topics an noticed some guys referring to the plastic plugs located at bottom of cylinders. my cylinders dont have em! my concern is if I need then for cooling efficiency or not. Ive had a few overheating issues an wonder if this is why. thanks in advance

  15. ill take the crank if you still got it!
  16. Ill check the flywheel as soon as I can get it in my garage, and I'm running 40:1 with Yamalube. I am not running high compression just stock head. My compression after top end done was about 130 psi on both jugs. thanks again I was kinda hoping I wasn't going to have to split cases.
  17. Ok so I went to Glamis for thanks giving and bike ran fine all week. Except for the last day I was there, I went for a ride and bike started to bog down and wouldn't respond to throttle input. Bike shut off completely and wouldn't restart. When I cycled the kickstart it felt like it still had compression. I only have about 10-15 hours on a fresh top end. But kick start would almost feel like it wanted to kick backwards against my foot. My uncle got on and tried to kick it over and said it felt like the crank went on it. Any body got any ideas? Haven't even had a chance to look at it yet, been too busy. Thanks in advance.
  18. Well I guess that makes sense That's provably I was kicking the hell out of it for 20 minutes, thanx again guys
  19. Holy crap I just checked for the jet in the bowl and my bowls were on the wrong carbs, thank you for that. will bowls switched around cause bike to run bad?
  20. het guys I got a lil dilema, Ive been having problems getting my bike to run good the last two trips to Glamis. its always a bitch to start so I took the carbs apart to clean them and noticed that the carb with the choke on it has a small brass tube that comes down parallel to the main jet tube, but the other carb doesnt- is this normal or am I missing a piece thanx
  21. OK so I just picked up an 88 blaster for free from a buddy, needs a rebuild, some cosmetic work and a flywheel. I was just wondering if any body has a flywheel laying around they wanna get rid of. PM me a price shipped to 92504, Thanx guys
  22. Hey man I know its not what your looking for but ive got some 20x10x10 9 paddle extremes that im looking to get $130 for. let me know Im in Riverside.I dont have pics but I can get some if you like.
  23. OK guys finally got a chance to work on bike, removed fuel filter, rejetted to 320 mains cleaned carbs better than I wash my balls, adjusted floats, carbs in sinc, checked fuel cap vent. bike ran better but still felt like it was bogging out some, lots of white smoke when I punched it, took off filters and ran it real quick in the parking lot- bike felt like the rear end was gonna pass me up, removed prefilters and found that they are lettin way to much dirt past, I only rode for about 30 min and filters are caked with dirt. will replace prefilters and try again. thax all for help
  24. well Im gonna drop to a 320 main, carbs are sinced as best as possible, needle is 4th from top, and its got a brand new coil. yes , I will pull it and try it out. I dont have any wires going to my bars except for headlight & on/off switch. Ill check float level and clean carbs best I possibly can. I did a comp check just before I left for Glamis and it was 130 & 135, I was always told a blue spark is good and thats what I got . I will work on it tomorrow and get back to you guys with my findings. Thanx to all
  25. Ive cleaned the tank pickup tubes, pekock, replaced fuel line, and filter, both bowls fill with fuel.I did the stock plate mod- but I was very careful when I put it all back together, but it wouldnt hurt to double check my work. Im not sure what elevation glamis is but I hear its about the same as sea level, ill provably try going down a couple of jet sizes if I cant find any shorts. I also dont have any friends with shees- they all have four strokes, so I cant swap parts with anyone. thanx again
