Bump,still available somebodys gotta need a +6 swinger

Well I found a place real close to my house where I can get 100 octane gas at the pump, what compression do I need to have to be safe with 100 octane or if I bring my timing back to stock could I run 100 ctane? I just dont wanna spend all that money on gas every time I go riding, and by the way if anybody is interested I am selling my +6 swinger in the For Sale Forum, or if any body has some after market/YFZ 450 shocks for the front willing to trade let me know.

The guage I used I got from sears so I trust it.I just honed it and slapped new rings and gaskets and made sure all was clean before reassembly, When I bought the bike it had most of the mods already, the head is stock & shaved, and sadly previous owner kept T5s for his other bike and sold bike to me with stock pipes, and I do have pod filters with no airbox, also I have +4 timing advance. Does any body know where to get aviation fuel in Riverside,CA I heard its 100 octane Thanx all for the advice :beer: PS: cant wait to get those pipes, I cant even sleep, this has been the longest weekend ever the tracking on the shipping shows that the pipes have been at UPS since friday afternoon(My work is like 3/4 mile from UPS) Thanx again :beer:

Hey all im getting my t5s tomorrow and I need help with baseline jetting My mods are in my sig, plus my compression is 165 both cylinders, so should I run race gas? My elevation is 800 ft above sea level, temps are about 85F-95F also my right cylinder runs richer than the left,I have checked for air leaks and both carbs are set up the same, except the right needle has a bit of a mushroomed tip, would this cause it to run richer? any advice would help Thanx :beer:

Hey all, Im looking to sell my +6 swingarm, I dont know who made it cause thers no brand on it it is not bent or cracked, it comes with roundhouse carrier, bearrings roll good. the chrome is not in perfect shape, but its not shit either.Weighs approx 13-15 lbs. Looks real good when its on. I got the nerfs on but I need the stock rear fender for the plastic piece. my current fenders are cut and my girl burned her leg on the pipe last time i gave her a ride.so if any body gots uncut rear fenders for cheap let me know. -

thanx for the info I already drained the coolant, I figure since its broken I might as well replace all seals since it hasnt been done in years. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to take my crank to get welded in or around Riverside,CA. also I will do a few other mods while its apart,new clutch,shift star mod,advanced timing, new rings, also I am going to shorten my swing arm by about 4 inches, a +6 swinger is too much for me, I dont need it.

OK so I decided to take my shee out and give her a little hell, and I figured since I still have stock rear tires = BURNOUT TIME, well half way into it I looked back and saw thick white smoke out of both pipes, still ran fine I didnt notice a power drop so I shut her down to cool down. When I started her back up there was no smoke until shee got up to about 140 degrees. I pulled the head and the left piston was kind of oily, could this be tranny oil? also the smoke smelled like burning plastic.Thanx for any help in advance

hey guys ,I have a 98 shee with stock front shocks that have seen better days,my buddy has an 05 raptor 660 and hes upgrading his shocks and will sell me his stock ones for $75, will they help me at all, or should I wait and save up for better ones, thanx.

well I guess its not really that important anyways.bike has 55 watt H3 headlights and im pretty happy with them so unless i want bigger lights I wont mess with it Again thanks for all the input

I actully had the same problem too, I checked every thing you did but still no fix ,then I took intake apart and found ripped reed gasket- I made my own out of gasket paper and been running fine since. just a suggestion.

Thanks for the info . so the way i take it is to get some diff wattage lights and load the stator gradually until the lights dim real bad. or am I way off?

So heres the story guys, guy I got bike from said he got the stator "rewound".My question is how do I measure how many watts this stator can put out? Any help is appreciated, thanks. stator pic

First off I would like to thank all of you guys for all the help I have gotten from you on fixing my first banshee just from reading about other peoples problems. I bought a 98 banshee in Oct. Thing ran worse than a dog crap,fixed it. As far as I know its got extended swingarm,15/45 sprokets,+2+1 A-arms,no air box w/ K&N guy kept toomey pipes-gave me stockers, ported- dont know what kind, lightened flywheel,I have been looking at pipes & its either T5's or DMC 916 please advise, I want to smoke my friends piped raptor 660 Thanks Again
