  1. The gnarlys are probably hurting ur top-end. FMF advertises them as a low to mid- range pipe.
  2. check the tube rear shock mounts to. It should be straight not bowed like mine was after 6 months.
  3. Thats funny :yelrotflmao:
  4. I second that. 2-strokes tend to lean lean out when held at high rpm with a high load for a looonnng period of time (banshees are not aerodynamic hence the high load). lean mixture+sustained high rpm= seizure. Thats how I killed my stock crank, sustained 80mph acroos a big-ass dry-lake bed. The needles in the bearing became one withe rod/crank journals and the bearing "race."
  5. And my stock stroke bore and port bike has outrun a couple of cub motors. Some guys just don't know how to ride. I was just giving my opion (IMO).
  6. o-rings AND a torque wrench
  7. thats funny :yelrotflmao:
  8. T5's hands down, every day of the week. And they sound WAY better than FMF's IMO.
  9. rolling school buses, jumping s-10 blazers over 60-foot gaps, jumping shifty carts into the foam pit............. And there is the guy that turned right going off the lip for the foam pit and landed on the roll cage on the bobcat with his chin, that looked like it hurt............ NO RIGHT TURN.
  10. began :yelrotflmao:
  11. lonestar, houser, leagers, Rolldesign
  12. Get the shee and keep this in mind. . . . . . Four pokes are like tampons every pussys got one . . . . . lol. With pipes and and filter w/ rejet you should be able to get a year out of ur topend. In 2-3 years with a four stroke youll be sinkin about $1000 into rebuilding the cylinder head. You will be way happier with the shee.
  13. Spend the 800 bucks on a nosshead and a stroker crank then u will have the power all of the time. And how u gonna refill the bottle at the dunes or out in the middle of the desert anyway.
  14. Nohting is gonna happen to the 91, it was a racing accident except someone got seriously injured. It just like when a boxer kills someone in the ring, they don't go to jail or get penalized in anyway. Whatever the ATVA does to that guy is gonna be nothing compared to the guilt that he feels. Best of luck to JJ.
  15. Those 22 inch tires are kill the already non-existant bottom-end so ur gonna have to regear for those things. A single carb isn't gonna kill ur top end power if you get a decent set of pipes like T5's or Paul Turner mids. My parents got me a single carb when I was rebuilding my motor and I was skeptical until I got on it with the T5's I had just got. It pulled wheelies through 5th and still smokes all of the 4-pokes in top speed, accelaration, and up comp at dumont as well as Oldsmobile at glamis. U really only lose a about 500 rpm of over-rev which is solved by shifting a smidge earlier. If ur gonna be ridin slow trails you def. need to get a 35mm single carb and a BIG ASS radiator like a PWR or a Toomey.
  16. A banshee with toomeys and k&n clamps-ons will make 45-50 horsepower for less than $550. A 250r makin that much power will have a built motor and be runnin' race-gas and cost over $1500. Get a shee, spend the extra thousand bucks on suspension and you'll smoke a 250r every time.
  17. I have a shirt that says what is in ur sig bansheeseat. Its a pretty cool def. :thumb:
  18. Amsoil dominator is full synthetic so you should have problems mixing it. I run the amsoil and it is really good stuff and you can get it by the case which is like 16 quarts i think. When you get by the case you save like 2 bucks a quart and even if you burn through 5 gallons of gas a week, a case of oil will last you all year. Congrats on finally gettin the shee man.
  19. i'm running a 175 main and 52.5 pilot at 2200 feet with a stock port like you are so you should be leaner than i am on the main and pilot cuz of your higher elevation. Is that crank a stock stroke or a plus +4?
  20. Amsoil dominator (full synthetic) at 40:1, and 80wt Maxima MTL (manual tranny lube) for the tranny. The oil change interval for the transmission depends on how much u abuse the clutch. These things do hold A LOT of oil (1.5L) for a bike (the 2 stroke dirtbikes run less than 1L). I cange after every trip to the dunes(2-4 days long) cuz the clutch gets abused out there. But when i am just bombing the desert i change it every other month when i go for a ride twice a week.
