  1. Where you riding a banshee? Or where you riding an 1984 kxt bored .80 over, with a +49 swingarm, backwards paddles, on vp 113 oxygenated, and a picture of the hulk on the tank?
  2. It is a stock stator, converted to dc, has a battery, dyna cdi, and dyna coil. I use the stock timing plate and adjust the curves with the dyna programming kit. I will never use a keyway for timing advance. Starts up in 4-6 kicks cold, and first kick when its been warmed up.
  3. The stock switch will even handle 125w of lights.
  4. I did some gps, radar, and time tests when I put those on my rhino. It lost top speed, and gained a small amount of acceleration. Not worth it in my mind.
  5. I know how long the swingarm is. Your mom's the one who buys my parts.
  6. Oh man, I better do what you say. Me and my know it all attitude will head right on outta here now that you told me I need to. Maybe it was just me that was slightly amused by this. I guess the fact that someone came on a banshee forum, posted a beat up looking tecate 3 with a big swingarm, ported and bored .80 over motor on race gas, horrible tires, and a pretty shitty paint job, then told us it would hand us our own asses, made me laugh a little. I guerss since he incenuited our own rides were some sort of waste (shit) that made me laugh a little about his posts and what I found inside. I ride the Oregon coast, I see bikes like this all the time, and guys that think the same thing he does. When it comes down to it, it takes a lot more than what he has got there to make a fast trike. There is a CR500 Trike in Dave's shop right now. Its not fast compared to a banshee though. A decently ported honda 250r 4 wheeler will beat a stock banshee. Here you guys are saying it will keep right up with a stock banshee. Really? I could of sworn a tecate trike would have done that with just a ported motor on pump gas and without a +29 swingarm. Jesus!
  7. Dave at ILR Performance is my motor guy. He is the Tecate guru. Most of the ones he has built are dunes bikes that I can take on the drag strip no problem. There is a few though, that are nuts. It takes big bucks, and methanol to make one really fast. I can tell you one thing, that trike you have is not as fast as you think it is. Dave Owns 5 of the Tecate 4's now. ILR Performance Dyno Tecate ILR Performance Pics.
  8. Well, where are you located at then? I will race it.
  9. I would put a ported 350 against it if your gonna run those tires.
  10. no memorial day this year. I think we are going to Utah in June.
  11. SO, why not post the pictures in the images section?
  12. I think people should stop posting pics of porting unless the intake bridge is gone, or as thin as a pubic hair. Why does nobody understand that the biggest factors are port heights and widths? Also there are never pics of the transfers, and thats where you get all the real power in a banshee motor.
  13. RM Stators are exactly the same as Ricky Stator's products.
  14. I had one of those I mounted on my old drag bike as a hood ornament. It came in handy one day when I wheelied the bike over on me. I reached up and turned the key off.
  15. Yes, and dyna makes a direct bolt in cdi and coil.
  16. You need to check squish before you run it. You wont get an accurate compression reading until its been ran and checked warm.
  17. Start going down until runs good and pulls through clean.
  18. I would set it at least to .045", its probably a fair high rpm motor. The squish your at is not enough.
  19. What pipes and exhaust duration do you run?
  20. Lets do a math problem 2 Lights at 55w each. 55w+55w=110w. Stock stator puts out 100w at around 8,500 rpm.
  21. Both, the Tolulene in the fuel washes down the plug. Its not an accurate reading. Usually if your really rich you can finally get color off the plug. My bike was running so rich that it was cutting out on the top end last ride, I pulled the plug to show my cousin and it was white with a smidge of brown on one side. He couldn't believe it. Jetted down, and it ran great, but the Plug looks white. Plug chops are a waste of time, you have to get your base jetting close and go off of feel.
  22. The stock stator wont run 110w of lighting.
  23. You have to go off feel, the plug wont tell you anything unless it is way off on jetting.
  24. LT1bird, WHAT fucking octane fuel are you running? Thought I would throw this out there, you cant read plugs if you run race fuel. The fuel washes down the plug, you have to go off feel of the bike and how its running. I have said this a million times, and I will say it again. You guys who post in these threads need to get all your information before you start giving answers out to people on how to fix something.
