  1. I have a set in my shop that go on a motor I am rebuilding for a guy. Inside on the sleeve, the reliefs on the ports are beveled around the edges in spots. One of them goes from the front of an auxillary transfer across the bridge almost touching the other transfer port. Definitely no sharp ended edges coming into through the sleeves. It looks like shit, and I am a little suprised that a company like vitos would crank out this kind of work and still be popular.
  2. Your not a big reader are ya! He already gave you an answer.
  3. I ran an original optak on a shee. It never worked really well. I have run some mechanical isspro egt gauges, they worked pretty awesome.
  4. Yeah, all the K&T bikes I have ridden and seen race were faster than shit.
  5. The torque gain is pretty minimal, its the acceleration speed that increases and gets most people excited. Howeve, it whacks quite a bit of power off the top end. I have a fairly low revving rpm motor. I peak at 8,750 rpm give or take 50rpm. My hp difference between twins and a single at that rpm was 4.74 hp. That was about a 7.5% gain going to twin carbs, and I didn't notice any change in the bottom end power. It definitely pulls harder on the top now though.
  6. Yeah, I dont know what happened with this dude and K&T, but, Every one I have ridden or seen has been fast as shit.
  7. I though the movie was pinned?
  8. We cant watch your link, because we dont have a subscription to that porn site.
  9. Are they the mid-top fmf's? Whats done to the motor? What riding do you do?
  10. ARE YOU GOING TO TELL US WHAT TYPE OF RIDING YOU DO AND HOW YOU WANT YOUR POWER DELIVERY TO BE?
  11. Cascade innovations sells a .012" steel I think. Anyone ought to be able to get one.
  12. I would get it down to at least .050"! You could even run it at .045" with the rpm that motor would pull. When the squish is to big, I have seen them run really funny (hesitations).
  13. Answer your opinion on how their port work and finishing looks on banshee cylinders.
  14. I guess my experience has been, if you get the holeshot and dont crash, you usually stay in front. Thats what we have seen from the LT500, and the ILR flat track bikes. So, the game to the ILR bikes was hooking up, and lots of oomph out of the hole.
  15. That pipe explanations thread was wrong about the pro circuits. They work on any motor, but they are a low-mid pipe. What is it your trying to do exactly? What type of riding do you do?
  16. Your apparently not listening to what I am telling him. To do everything he can to get low end, he needs to lower the exhaust port. He didn't tell me he was worried about spending money. When you lower the exhaust port, you regrind it in the sleeve. If he builds a stroker motor, he is going to have to grind out aluminum anyway. So now think of the power it will make if he lowered the exhaust port, and matched the rest of the durations to it. This is how you squeeze out ALL the power. Let me ask this: What pipes would you recommend he run for a low-mid setup?
  17. Yes, Nana is awesome.
  18. It makes more torque because the stroke is increased.
  19. They manage to sell a guy I know about $4,500.00 in parts and motor services for his banshee. 4mill, port pwork, huge carbs, pipes, the whole shibang! Bike turns on like a light switch around 7k rpm, and has no low end power. He raced me, and got me by a bike length and I run a ported 350 on a stock crank built for low-mid power. Biggest bunch of fuckin idiots in the 2 stroke business that I know of.
  20. You do need to lower it maximize the low end power you can get though.
  21. That seems a little steep. My 2007 Dodge Quad cab 2500 diesel was $33,000.00 when I bought it new a few years ago.
  22. I say call Dave Roberts at ILR Performance. He built the motor in my uncles LT500 flat track bike, It hauls ass. All of Daves kids have won flat track championships on bikes Dave built. Not to mention he has a crank dyno in house, and knows how to build stuff with wicked torque.
  23. Those trail tech MR16's I had spiked at 15 amps on startup, and operated at 2.9 amps when they were stabilized. That was testing 2 lights at once. I just got back my kidney belt from my grandma this morning. She sewed a pocket into it for the lithium battery pack on my Vision x solstice LED Helmet light. 8 hours of run time on one charge. Same lights I have mounted on my back.
  24. Im a little lost here. He wanted to know how to build a torque motor that pulls hard, so people are recommending Dune ports, 16/38 gearing, and trinity pipes? Im fucking dumbfounded! I guess my bike is some sort a freak of nature, cause I dont run any of that shit you mentioned. However, I can ride it in holes, on trails, and pull dunes on the Oregon coast. Then go down and drag race a Ported 350 with cpi's, drag port, and 35mm pwks and stomp a mudhole in his ass from the start to the finish line. I have a low-mid motor that puts out 66.75 hp with a stock crank and ported cylinders on a crank dyno. I raced a friend of mine with a Trinity 4 mill motor, with Stage IV pipes, and 39mm pwk carbs, and it beats me by 1 bike length. I dont care what you say, Trinity dont know shit, and thats definitely not the way I would build a hard pulling motor with torque.
