  1. Ok, so its probably actually about 65 hp. So this is a full barnett clutch, springs, and a barnett basket? What rear tooth rear sprocket, and what size rear tires are on the bike?
  2. More than likely they will not fix the cv under warranty, sa the increased lift puts strees on the cv's because of the increased drive angle.
  3. electric rotary flexshaft tool.
  4. 80 horse based on what?
  5. Ok, so he is in the procees of porting his cylinders and he is trying to do his homework and find out what to do with those ports right now. When I go to do mine, I am using the race logic templates on em. I am also gonna go over to my motor guys house and find out what does what and see what we can do over the templates that will improve the port job. Modding computers is easy, I wanted mine to be faster, I went into the computer store asked the guy what I needed. He said more memory, he sold me a 256mb card and I went home, took of the back panel of the tower and put it in one of the 3 empty memory slots in the computer and it was faster. I blew it out with air, added an extra fan and put it back together. I always do my homework, but I alweays also learn more as I do stuff and then I can add on to what I am doing. Dont discourage anyone from doing what they want. There was a time when even Jeff from Fast had to port his first cylinder and he had all these questions also.
  6. Well I am sure it had better flow, but what about velocity and emulsification? I run a 2 into 1 carb for many reasons, but one is not to feed a monster ported or stroked drag motor. My bikes going to the dyno here in 2 weeks to get tuned, but it will be compared to other bikes that were ran on the same dyno. The guy who owns the dyno has seen my bike run. He is interested in seeing what the power curve is going to look like on his dyno compared to other bike he has run on it. Most people on this board are so concerned about getting max hp out of a Banshee, I am only interested in getting a good torque and hp curve out of mine.
  7. do a search, it was covered just last week. I run a single carb, I like it alot.
  8. Quit being pricks you guys, if you know then tell him. If you dont, then dont say anything. How is anybody supposed to learn how to do port work if they dont get practice doing it. I am gonna do some porting soon, I dont know what those ports are, I do know they are hooked to the transfers, but not sure if your supposed to do anything to the ports. If anyone tells me I shouldn't be doing it, then I will give you a giant middle finger and tell you to go get bent.
  9. Depends on wether or not his tester is accurate.
  10. So it stopped sputtering after the flywheel and stator install? So your just worried about the kill switch now?
  11. Dont listen to this guy. You guys dont have a 95' CR125. You have a Banshee that makes twice the horsepower and weighs twice as much. This clutch grabbing issue is normal, and all 3 of the bikes I have owned did this. All my cousins bikes and my dads bikes do it also.
  12. What oil do you use in it?
  13. I would worry about the sputter more than the kill switch hesitation. My bike didn't shut off at all the other day when I flipped off the switch, then shut off after flipping it on then back off again. My motor guy said Its somewhat normal due to something, but I cant remeber why. So basically this sputter is still there after putting on the new flyhweel and stator?
  14. Ok, you got a misconception and a reality to deal with here. Misconception: Just because it is new doesn't mean theres not something wrong. There very well can be a main jet clogged or something not assembled right, especially since the dealer had it apart to do the jetting. Reality: You should have a 90 day warranty on this thing, take it in and make the dealer fix it.
  15. check to make sure the choke crossover tube is on.
  16. oh. I only use the Yamaha Springs, never had any decent luck with anything else.
  17. I dont think your getting this. We need to know some things to help you look for the issue. We are not telling you that you dont know what your doing. So was it a full engine rebuild or a top end rebuild?
  18. Put a radiator in it, and make sure its cicrculating coolant.
  19. WAS IT JUST A TOP END JOB, OR A FULL ENGINE REBUILD? IF IT RAN OK BEFORE THE REBUILD AND HAD SPARK THEN MORE THAN LIKELY YOU GUYS MESSED SOMETHING UP. RECHECK THE FLYWHEEL, THE KEY WAY, THE WIRING CONNECTIONS FROM THE STATOR, THE COIL CONNECTIONS, the pickup, and any other wiring or electrical components you touched.
  20. What year is it. Is the spark still gone or is it there and not starting?
  21. So this is on a 450, or a Banshee? Which 450 if it is a 450?
  22. Well starting fluid has ether and an upper end lubricant in it, and should always be used as directed on the can (Small amounts). It is also not a good idea to use on a hot engine as it works like diesel fuel and is hard to shut off. I have no problems with it. Its way safer than sluffing gas in there, I got burned really bad doing that one.
  23. Who said to spray ether in it? Check the flywheel pickup gap.
