Sounds to me like the jetting may need to be tweaked. Bike should pull hard all the way throught the gear regardless of the gearing.

UMMMMMMM??? Well I wouldn't just say put the needle in the 4th clip position without knowing what needle it is first. So what needle is in it? I would think you want to start with at least a dek, optimally you would probably want an eek.

Why does every motorcycle and atv video have death metakl in it? It gives me a damn headache. I usually use stuff like kid rock, the allman brothers, art of noise and those type of selections.

I would put a brand new yamaha regulator or rs regulator on it. With RS and 125w of lights on my bike, peak voltage at 6k rpm was around 12.45v!

Sounds like a bad voltage regulator to me. I bought the rs one when I upgraded my stator. What watt bulbs are you running?

On my trinity intake, it comes with only one o-ring on the poly carb boot area.

ok, I am confused as shit right now. I have a trinity intake, I took it off today. Here is how you put it on. Gaskets, reedcages, gaskets, then manifold, o-ring, then rubber carb boot. Do not use sealers, there is no need.

I have that intake and only recall there being an o-ring in between the intake and the rubber boot.

The 450r couldn't make it out of the holes that the kfx450 was going up. Every duner with v paddles buys them cause most of the time they are misinformed or the paddles are cheap. They stroll around the bike shop when they get done financing their machine and see those v-paddles in the parts department. Then they go "Golly gee willickers betty, its sand tires! We better get some of those and put them on the Yamaha card!" Call me crazy, but my Banshee can do everything that guy with 450r can do, and then some more that he cant think about doing. I have run the v-paddles back in the day when I started riding sand, and that whole turning thing is bull$hit!

I just tgot off the phone with sand tires unlimited and pelican sandsports. The padla brat they recommended for my bike was an 18 paddle 21x12x8 on 8"Dx10"w rim. Said he would cut about a 1/3 of the paddles at the ends and middle to stagger them. I am kind of interested in this tire now. I am gonna have to talk my best friend in to trying a set out on the drag bike. The guy I talked to said the paddles were comparable to the skat trak extremes.

I put one in a 1985 lt250r chassis back in about 1993. We had the cylinders turned around backwards on it, and made a 3 into 1 pipe for it. Also ran 3 34mm mikuni tmx carbs on it. It was pretty fast.

There is no need at all to own a set of sand stars. Haulers will hook up way better and turn just as good. I have one of those friends who thought that the sand stars were the best possible tire for his 450r. Well that was before he watched a kfx450 walk all over him with a set of haulers. Now he is convinced us Banshee guys did know what we were talking about when we told him not to waste his money on molded v paddle tires.
