Okay, i just got back from glamis, I was having some problems when i got there, Me and the boys where hearing a air noise coming from the bike, sometimes the left cylinder didnt wanna turn over. when it was idling the left silencer wasnt hitting as hard as the right. I did a compression test twice and everything was good. I took the carbs off 10times and made sure they where clean, and sync Tues me and nycmarine Andy and a few people where ripping back to camp and shee blew up on me, didnt fuck with it until wed morning bc i was in such a good mood from the riding we where doing. Pulled the head off and i have a hole in the left piston the size off a quarter. what would cause this? Crank seal? Me and Andy (hollisatp) pulled off the flywheel and when we kicked it over slowly we notice the crank was goin up and down as it spun. Some guys there said that was from a bad crank seal. Any help would be appreciated..

Yes The ride was amazing, We saw some beautiful shit. I broke the Banshee on wed, Went to the dealership and bought a brand new YFZ 450, They delivered it to my Campsite 2hrs lata...lol For the trip, yea had 2 rhino's that we used for out Gas caddy's. We loaded them up with gas and then filled everything again when we got to the gas station near the mexican border..lol We left Camp thursday at 10 ish with 22 quads and 2 rhinos, only 8-10 guys mad it the whole way. Only the STRONG SURVIVE...lol Brand new 08 yfz 450 got broken in on a 160 mile ride

Damm, that bike must have been beat up. Did you rebuild the motor or buy a new one? Why do you have a pingle valve on a stock bike?

The boys noticed that my front pipe hanger was busted when we where loading the trailer for glamis. If anyone that is coming out, could bring me one, I'll have a cold beer or 2 for ya :beer: thanks

I Have ASR on my shee for over a year. I have some slop/play in my heim joints aswell. I believe ASR sells a-arms with balljoints now, I guess they where having alot of complaints with there shit. As far as customer service goes, I never had a problem there, First they sent me the wrong tie rods, got the new ones out ASAP, I bent a a-arm, I called them and they replaced it for free, no questions asked. As far as the quality of there product, I think you will be happier buying elsewhere. My next turn around, I will be buying a-arms with ball joints. Just me .02cents

Just called the number, Kid sounds like a jerkoff, Probably bc he's from Staten island Says he got some1 coming from ct to look at it. He said, I dont kno if it runs, I had the carb rebuilt, might need a piston or something. Has dual pipes though.. Havent started it in a year

I say post some pics, so we can get a better idea, And help ya out alittle better. And if you are going to buy a seat cover, get it from cascade. There seat covers are the best, and I believe they will do any color combo/design you want. Just my .02 cents though

While you are working on the carbs, changing needles position etc. If you don't work on one carb at a time, and are not paying attention, you can put the slide it backwards. Im sure everyone here has done it atleast once. There will prob be a few people that will say, NOT ME, NEVER. wateva it happens. With aftermarket d slide carbs, like you said the slide will only go in one way.

Id say for the time and money, and then the If's and's or but's that will be rolling through your mind if you get it repaired, you are better off just buying a used set. They are cheap enough, PM NYUK on here, Im sure he has a good set for you, He sells alot of used banshee parts, Great guy. I dont have any experience with cracked cases, But I kno that i would just buy a set and not worry about getting broken shit repaired, especially in my motor.

THE STOCK CHAIN ADJUSTMENT ON A BANSHEE SUCKS BALLS. BUY A ROUNDHOUSE STYLE SWINGER, THATS WHAT ILL BE DOING WHEN I GET BACK FROM GLAMIS. Makes it alot easier to adjust. just my .02cents

If you think the bike is rich, You should be going to a smaller main, not larger. I would get some fresh plugs and do a plug chop, To see where you stand with the main jet Give your carbs a good cleaning Make sure your slides are correct,the carbs are sync and the choke tube is on in the middle of the carbs. If your slides where in backwards, the bike would have ran like complete shit. Good luck

Vents are 1/8, not sure about the fuel line. 3/16 may work

Im feeling the green color of your bike. I agree with above-- Black plastics would look sick. I just cant seem to understand why people feel the need to put raptor plastics on a banshee, they look awful. Some black plastics would set it off real nice bro.

I believe going up in there rear will help you out some. With stock gearing, jetted perfect my shee was a bitch to launch in 2nd, until i got her ported then shee would break them loose no problem out of the hole, with no hesitation or bog. Good luck

We just shipped our bikes out on Saturday to Glamis. Its $625 round trip. I would say thats better than driving 8000 miles :shoothead:

Im down to plan another trip, but lets get through this one first.lol I will be buying a new truck also, mine goes back March 1st, I have the trailer already so Im always ready for a road trip. I heard the Michigan dunes are pretty good, But nothing will compare to Glamis, Like stated above. But for us, anything is better than nothing. We went to West virginia in August, It was like 1500 miles round trip, cost like 700 in gas and gas was high then. Not bad at all. How far away are the dunes in Michigan?
