  1. ught ohh.... Bump for a bud!
  2. The sleeve isn't bored out.. its pressed. once you resleeve a cylinder.. you run into problems with the sleeves falling.. Personally.. I wouldn't resleeve unless you know someone who can do it right and cheap.. the best option is plating. The problem I've had in the past with my Big bore sleeves is that the OD of the sleeves further reduces the tranfer volume. If the OD of the aftermarket sleeve is larger then a OE.. then your loose area. There isn't much power to be gained from big bore sleeves.. you'll have better increase in power by going to a 4mil crank and having the timings corrected.
  3. People might not realize.. but you can always have them plated instead of bored. Plating can be applied up to .5mm thick.. this would mean you can take a 66mm cylinder (.080 over) and plate them down to a 65.5mm (.060 over) and if something happens again.. then can be replated... the cylinder are not junk by any means...

  7. you think cali law could handle the MI crew? lol JD would be in jail for sure... LOL
  8. I havn't had a problem with paddles coming off.. but.. they are VERY hard to get on the rims.. and the blades are very soft and wear quickly. Traction seems pretty good though.
  9. it depends on how the motor is setup.. I used big bores on my 421.
  10. whats teh difference between a post whore.. and a post slut?
  11. This thread is dumb....
  12. Why not hit up wheelman chassis? His swinger arms are well priced!
  13. the answer is yes and no.. The port timings need to be corrected. If no porting is done... then the answer is no.. you'll actually make less power since the port timings will be jacked up.
  14. Welded the push rod and the ball..
  15. cc vs cc CP cylinders will make better power with both setups tuned. 15yrs ago they were happy with 80+hp.. when they wanted more they started welding up the cylinders.. once the after market cylinders hit the market.. they were getting more power then a worked over stocker with less effort which is why its no longer done. The cub was pretty much the final demise for working over OEM cylinders since it used all the OEM components.
  16. Tell ya what guys.. Even when this guy gets drunk, he does nothing but think of ways to make his products more innovative and better then any other product out there (Just ask everyone @LS after he got into the captain!!) LOL ... He's ALWAYS thinking about ways to improve. can't say that about alot of guys in this biz.. He's one of us and purely enjoys the sport.
  17. Notice all the cool shit didn't start happening till the MI crew started going.. lol Good thing JD is from MI.. I dont think LS would be the same without him and his madness.. lol
