  1. I would say.. what ever one you get the best deal on! lol Both pipes are nice and will complement the cub well... I didn't notice any porting done to the cub otherwise I would say to find out what the builders says works best with his setup. I liked BB shearers on my 421. But i'm not saying that will be the best setup for everyones 4mil cub.
  2. just ask the magic 8-ball and give it a shake... Its answer will be about as good as anyone's... WAY too many variables...
  3. Where is this local shop? If its near me, I'd like to check it out.
  4. The only thing you can do is take the clutch apart and inspect it.. it could be MANY different things.. Dont forget to check the ball and rod.
  5. Correct.. my drag banshee does have a lockout.. but.. the other 4 of my quads that I put them in didn't.. built YFZ450, 2 Banshee, 1 semi-quasi built 660 Raptor and a built 250r. and my pricing was a tad off on the inner hub. lol FAST is a good place to call and get the clutch componets as he stocks most of them and you dont have to wait 2 weeks to get the parts from a dealer.
  6. Pressure plate is about 15.00. Inner hub is about 25.00 clutch cable is 15-20 and tusk kit is 50. So it might be just a tad over 100.. but its close. I've used Tusk kits in my 110+hp drag bike for the last few seasons.. no problems. Also use them in my 450, and in a few of my buddies bikes.. so far no problems.. To each their own.. Clutch kits are like oil.. Everyone has their preference.
  7. You can buy new inner hub, pressure plate, Tusk clutch kit and a new clutch cable and be right around 100 bucks. When in doubt.. replace it!
  8. Words just can't describe the dedication he's put into this bike...
  9. There is going to be a huge power loss from switching it from a bike chassis to a quad chassis.. If it was supposed to make 140hp.. I would expect numbers around the 105-120hp mark.. Usually its around a 20-25% loss. They seem to be very hard to get setup properly for sand. I would say with that weight probably a +10 swinger with 11pdl extremes (73ro) or +12 swinger with 12pdl extremes (73ro) Good luck on the build and post some pictures up!
  10. being 10yrs old.. its a pretty good chance it already has a aftermarket clutch in it... which could lead to the stiff clutch pull seeing how most kits come with HD springs. Bad springs would make the clutch pull easier.. They loose tension as they get older.. they dont gain tension. Change the cable.... (9 times out of 10 this is the problem) If that dont clear it up.. My money is on that it has 6 HD springs in it.. So either get stock springs again.. or buy a new easy pull clutch perch.
  11. I think the 28 pwks are the best all around carb for the smaller builds IMO.. Carry the higher RPM well and still keep velocity up to maintain the bottom end. I always like them on my dune/trail motors.
  12. Pretty sure it was blue/white and Red/black. My 99' was white/blue.. but.. I bought mine in canada.
  13. Probably has HD springs in it. Try a new clutch cable.. if that dont work, go to a dealer and buy the stock clutch springs.
  14. probably has HD springs in it.. depending on what is done to the motor.. you could go back stock springs or 3 stock and 3 HD springs.. Should also try a new cable..
  15. got any pics of the carrier? I maybe interested in buying it outright from you.
  16. They mount with snap rings instead of the hose clamps. May fit T-6's also.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-Too...1QQcmdZViewItem
  17. just for show IMO.. depending on what you already have done.. the money might be better spent elsewhere.
  18. Actually.. he's not far from it and the big bore pipes may work well for his setup. I was using shearer big bores on my 421. Heard of some smaller motors working well with the big bores also. All depends on the builder and what he's looking to get out of it.
  19. I think she told me they dont use the email addy thats on their site anymore.
  20. Thought you said firehead wanted him for one of his special little parties?
  21. You'll never have to worry about that Boo.. lol :shoothead:
  22. I use a YZ style kill with a tether..
  23. there ya go! lol
  24. Not my cup of tea either.. but to each their own I guess.
  25. Them are just the crank seals.. He's looking for the complete kit.
