There is some good information in the jetting forum. Here is the link: What Is Jetting - A Great How-to Article. , Communicating with your machine. I know it's not what you asked for, but I thought I would point you to it. Great article. L8R, T

OK.... I took a look at my idle adjustment knobs. The left carb was adjusted to 7-3/4 turns, but the right carb was screwed all the way in. Do they both need to be set to the same adjustment? Sorry, probably a stupid question...but I know you guys will know the answer. T

Thanks Banchetta, I will give that a try. T

Hey Y'all, How do I go about setting up my PJ 34's to idle? I have the passion motor...and before I break it in, I wanted to know how to set up the idle so that I can check for any leaks without having to play with the throttle. The carbs have the little nut where the choke is right? Where should I start? Do I turn it in clockwise all the way and then turn it out a certain amount of turns to get it started? Do both carbs usually use the same amount of turns? (To keep them in sinc?). Any other suggestions with the PJ34's would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, T

Somebodies gotta have a pic right? therail, I also heard that on two strokes you want to use pressure rather than vacuum...but again...that is only what I heard. Better than buying a vac pump for sure. Thanks, T

Thanks for the reply Banchetta! I have been reading up on the jetting post...but I wish there was a manual for the Pj's. I can only find manuals for the Mikuni's Thanks again, T

Greetings all! I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for adjusting PJ 34's. I tried to find a manual of some sort for them, but all I could find were exploded views with descriptions and part numbers. Basically I am looking for the following: - Air Screw Adjustments: When and how - Needle suggestions - Any other useful information I just got my bike back together with the "Passion" of the Stroker World! and I can't wait to I searched on the HQ for information...but I couldn't find anything on airscrew adjustments for the PJ's. Thanks for the help! T

Well, Last season, my run switch would not work on my bike. I just got done putting everyting back together for the new build...and I need to make sure that the engine doesn't take off and not have a way for me to shut her down. I ohm'd out the two wires and they weren't making contact...so I pulled it appart. Looked like the little plastic part with actaul contacts wasn't sitting properly...but it wouldn't stay in the correct spot either...so I superglued it in there. I could then get continuity on the switch....but now here is my question: When the switch is in the on position, should it be reading continuity or when it is in the off position should it read continuity? It is currently reading continuity when in the off position....so I hope that I didn't screw up and put the plastic part in backwards Please help T

I believe that is only if you are running stock intake manifolds. My intake manifold doesn't have any material protruding into the cage area. Thanks, T

Thanks Champ! I just wanted to be sure. T

I am hoping that somebody can explain why four gaskets are supplied with the reeds. There are two different ones...do they both need to be installed? Is one an inner and one an outer? Thanks in advance! T

If the clutch was in the box...it should have had a paper to say do not use the rubber rings. I read allot of posts in here too about this problem. I didn't use the rubber rings on mine....and had no problems. Good Luck! T -
On the last trip of last season...my bike started to smoke really bad out of one pipe. When I got home I took off my coolhead...and noticed that that side was really really pitted with metal all around the bore of the cylinder...even scratched up my bores. Upon further investigation, my main bearing on my crank grenaded! There was metal everywhere once I pulled off the clutch cover. That is where I could see my bearing in peices. Easy to check that out. I ended up splitting my cases...and there was metal inside there too If I were you, I would pull off the clutch cover and look at the main bearing of the crank. Good Luck! T

Damn those things are b-u-tiful! If only I was running those cylinders.

I just did my pump/gear/seals. I also put the plastic one in. I didn't get a new e-ring, because they didn't have them in stock...but mine looked ok anyhow. Piece o'cake. Just be careful when installing the new bearing back in...don't let it get cock-eyed. Also, make sure you pay attention to the direction that the seal goes in. Good Luck, T

I know...them bibles make your eyes go ...but it may help. I looked into my cylinders and I could tell right away. I have a coolhead, so it may be easier than the stock head/gaskets. T

Splitting the ol' case? Stator? Gears?

Like they said They call the plate a bearing stopper plate. T -
I had the same thing happen on my bike last season... Read the link below... L8R, T Smokin

I got it tightened...I figured out that the tool to hold the clutch boss is also a tool to hold the flywheel. I am back on my way to getting stuff together BTW Linc, where do you guys camp at Gordons? I don't like to risk getting stuck...and it is easy to get stuck over there in some places. L8R, Troy

Linc, I have been only working on it on and off...but now that things are getting closer and closer...I want to work more "on" it So what happen with the "rail" group? This new group...what kind of pace do they ride at? I am always worried about getting in a group that goes "ball's out" and scares me a bit Anyhow...I need help on torqueing the primary gear nut down...any suggestions? Thanks, T
-
This is an old post that I was reading... What did you do to torque the nut for the primary gear? I was thinking about trying to make a block to screw to the flywheel to hold durning installation... I am posting again to a question I posted in my own thread, but I though you might have some suggestions. Let me know. Please T
