  1. I am just a beginner at this so I am pretty stoked that I got it figured out. I just ordered PWK 35mm Carbs from Jeff at F.A.S.T last week. I just wanted the satisfaction of figuring out my stock stuff. Cant wait now till that comes in, I also got the carb sync tools as well.
  2. If anyone lives in Louisville, KY you better go see this guy. Just make sure he got a title!
  3. Thanks for the heads up on these kits. I will probably just go to Tacoma Screw and buy them there after hearing all the horror stories. I do live in Tacoma you know.
  4. Problem solved. We bought a 2001 TRX90 from a guy in Bend, OR. $1200 and its in great shape.
  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Drag-banshe...098124626QQrdZ1 Not sure if someone posted this already. Looks pretty interesting.
  6. You can contact Ebay about getting the negs removed if they are not members anymore. You can also contact them about the guy who apologized and mutually have the neg removed. I have 360 Positive and 3 negatives in 4 years. You are always going to run into people that are out to screw you. I have dealt with some pretty expensive problems myself. As long as you are in the right 99.9% of the time it will work out for you. If you need help with finding the feedback links let me know.
  7. I'm sure at 24:1 its going to look pretty black. Was it smoking excessivly?
  8. Do you know if he paid extra for insurance through Paypal? If he didn't, which most people don't, the only thing that Paypal guarantees is that he gets the part. They don't care if he got a box full of rocks, as long as you have a tracking number that shows that he received something he is screwed. I sell a lot on Ebay and I have had this problem many times. They pull the money out but you will get it back most likely. Just make sure to stay on top of all the emails that Paypal sends you. If you don't reply they will side with the buyer. Hopefully it wasn't a lot of money, just sucks ass to deal with either way.
  9. Just make sure that it doesnt go longer than 30 days. Paypal only insures you get something 30 days after the day you made the payment. You will have to file a dispute with Paypal before the 30 days is up or they wont do anything for you. Canada doesnt take more than a day or 2 extra for shipping usually.
  10. I dedicate this pair to you....its a tragedy.
  11. I knew that it was going to be something stupid :: :: :: I had the slides facing the wrong way, I never realized that they could swap left to right :shoothead: The funny thing is that they have been like that for a year and a half!!! I have been riding around with absolutely no bottom end response. All my buddies that I ride with told me I was chicken cause I wouldnt do some of the hill climbs at the dunes last year. I kept telling them that the bike had no low end power, no one belived me. As soon as I cracked the throttle I knew...it sounds 500bajillion times better and it idles! Crisp and quick :woot: I can actually get off the bike and do something, come back and its still running!! I have to say thanks to all that helped. Now I can do some full throttle blasts and check the plugs for the topend burn. Maybe some day I will get a hang of this carburation stuff.
  12. OK I see what you mean. If I turn those in all the way they move the slide of pretty high. I will try to adjust them up and see what happens. Thanks
  13. I am pretty sure they are in the right way. If they werent the bike wouldnt run at all right? I can get it running and ride it but it just wont idle. There is a small gap at the bottom of the slides where I can see in the carbs. I adjusted both to be the same distance up.
  14. Those boobs were the reason for a daily laugh between me and my wife. Everytime I would come across one of your posts there they were in all their glory  Sorry to see them go Maybe you can find a new replacement, like a jiggling butt
  15. I have searched and done all the research by reading all the pinned articles on jetting and carburation, but I still cant get my banshee to idle. I am totally stumped on what the problem is. Here is the list of my mods: Wiseco Pro Lite Pistons (fresh rebuild by a local shop) Stock Carbs Vito's Needles (3rd slot right now) 25 Pilots 280 Mains Boysen Reeds K&N Filters no Box Boost Bottle Shaved Stock Head (155 Compression as of today on both sides) NGK BR8ES Plugs Using 100 AV Gas with Castor 32:1 I have tried the 27.5 Pilots with the needles on the 4th and 5th spot with no success. I have adjusted the air screws from .5 turn out to 3 turns out with no succes with the current setup 25 pilots and 3rd spot on the needle. Another thing that my carbs have that I dont see in the Yamaha Service Manual are 2 screws that are on the sides that adjust the height of the slides. They are brass and have lock nuts on them. I just backed them all the way out so they arent lifting the slides up at all. I have been working on this problem forever and really need some advice. Thanks in advance. Matt
  16. Whow cares what it sounds like? Just do what performs the best.
  17. If f you ever want to check out Sand Lake let me know. It is really close to Portland, great weekend spot.
  18. I run the K&N Pods with outerwears. I have taken them through a little mud and they seem to hold up well.
  19. I remember sitting there doing the same thing (listening to my daughters heart beat). It is an amazing expierence and I hope you and your family have as much fun as I did. Matt PS here is a pic of my daughter, not trying to steal your thunder...
  20. How would I know that... I have been through all the new topics and came across this one. I happened to buy the Dirtwheels Mag, for the first time, and read the article. I understand now that it is a joke, but how would I know that. Thanks for so gracefully letting me know.
  21. I read the article and it says that they will probably wait to release the new one after all the 06's are sold from the dealers. Looks pretty cool if it actually looks like that. Dirtwheels said that the pic was just an interpretation and that they have not actually seen the bike. Whatever it looks like its pretty interesting
  22. Looking to see if anyone out there in the Washington and Oregon areas have any smaller bikes for sale right now. I am really looking for a TRX90 or a LT80 for my buddies son. We are heading down to Sand Lake on Saturday and I was hoping to pick one up on the way back. I have cash in hand if the price is right. Let me know what you have. Thanks Matt
