  1. I agree when I bought my shee it had a twist and after riding it the first time that way it is sitting on the shelf and a thumb throttle with ext billet throttle is in its place. the twist dont bother me on the dirtbike but on the quad it sucked bad
  2. ok guys I have a good one for ya, I did some learning at sandfest with the banshee, I found my cutting out problem but still have another after fixing the obvious. when first dynoed it would be perfect jetting then at 7500 rpm go lean on the left, so we found the crank seal was leaking so I split the cases on the picnic table and put new seals in it. So next morning go dyno it again and pull 46.96 HP with perfect jetting but now it goes lean on the left side at 9500 rpm, you can drown the motor with carb cleaner and not find any air leaks but then again it dont lean out till 9500 rpm, I have tried float settings on that side as well as made sure its getting good flow of fuel to the carb. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas on it, I have covered the obvious and know this could be fun to find. So the jetting question has been ruled out since it all shows perfect on the exaust analizer all the way on the right side but of course only to 9500 on the left
  3. I will be there in the south camp somewhere, my truck is easy to spot, lowered chevy with tag "RIDE MX"
  4. I plan on being there, just hope I can pay for all the gas will be in south camp for sure
  5. all I see is if it keeps going up some people will soon be on unemployment since they could no longer afford gas to get to work, especially if they drive 60+ miles one way to work. If you cant afford to put gas in your car, you cant go to work, then you cant buy anything and the economy is going to take a big dive. I have already noticed this at work in the auto parts industry, people are doing without anything that they dont absolutely have to have just so they can afford to put gas in their cars to go to work. I mean they are gonna put off matinece as long as they can and buy less at grocery stores, walmart etc just to be abel to get to work, Unfotunately there is gonna be a big potential for a drop in economy due to this because prices are going to go up across the board and wages most likely will do nothing.
  6. guess it could be worse, like having the 3 day weekend off but not having enough $$ to put gas in your truck to go anywhere and ride or do anything
  7. ya its stupid its 2.99 here in the bottom of KS and 3.29 40 miles west of here, all I can say is at least it isnt 5.87 like I was on the news a few min ago but this still sux badly. somehow I think sandfest will prolly be a little smaller this year since some prolly wont be able to afford to go
  8. havent had to put a clutch in my banshee yet, but I have had one in my blaster for little over a year now with absolutely no problems what so ever. I got it with the hd springs which ended up being ebc. when the banshee needs one I will get one for it. another good buy is the tusk billet gas caps too, great looking and very affordable
  9. haha I know where Stillwater is, but then again I am only 70 miles to your north ya gas is at 2.69 here as of mid morn when it went up yet again the scary thought is gonna be at little sahara for sandfest, crap its gonna suck for 4+ days of riding at those prices
  10. also check your wiring because if you transfered it from the other frame there may be a ground wire that isnt hooked up or making a good connection, worht checking that out since it is usually the tiny things that give us the most crap.
  11. ya they did change the dat for sandfest this year to 2 weekends after labor day, kinda funny they did after 3 yrs at the same time but oh well it all works the same, I know I will be there for sandfest and likely get there about tues b4 the weekend, 5-6 days on the sand is fun even though it beats ya up and tends to break stuff
  12. this has happened to my pro design as well, what happens is it gets wet and all the other crud in there from riding and it gets a little corroded, then thing to do is simply take it apart and clean it then lube it up and itll work fine. there is a small set screw on the backside where the handlebars go that holds it together. hopefully that will fox your prob
  13. horrible thing though is there are a few quads out there running 20" wires etc its just sad
  14. typically the way to wire them is one wire to the pos side of the coil, should be orange I think, then the other wire to a good ground.
  15. if you are good you can redrill a set of new holes, or I would almost bet money on it that if you found a set of 250r, 250x or 300ex rear hubs they will fot the blaster. It works the other way around, found out one day that blaster hubs slide on a honda axle when a buddy had a broken blaste rand anther guy needed to run paddles on his 250x, I noticed the slines looked close and we tried itr who would have guessed
  16. one thing you might think about doing is pulling the silencers, then taking some copper make a gasket silocone and running a bead around the pipe just a little forward of the end of the pipe, then sliding the silencers back on and wipe the excess that oozed out around it and let it cure. I did this when I piped my blaster and it worked great, no leaks and it wont really need anything else over the connection. I have fmf fatty's on my banshee also and someone has done similar to it, no coupler and no leaks.
  17. the stock pilot is 32.5 and the stock main is 230, I run a 310 main in my blaster with a toomey pipe and went down I think two sizes on my pilot.
  18. just wanted to let you guys know sandfest is second weekend after labor day so that would put it sept 17-18. damm 9hrs to the sand makes me glad I am only 2hrs from there
