I've ran lots of the big bore WSM's. TDR has a decent deal on them. Just make sure the your final clearances are good or the intake bridge on the piston won't stay happy.
Have you checked that the old petcock is actually flowing fuel?
Often old Un checked ones have a strainer that sits inside the tank. They can get pretty goobered up. Just tug it and be thorough about your fuel habits so as to not get dirt in it.
Hey, that bike on tracks in your avitar. How does that thing get around. Been contemplating doing a KTM on one of those tracks in the winter and super moto it in the summer.
Personal experience? Nobody here gives a boot about the fact that your shit actually runs awesome. It's all about the ol' fashioned guess and pay then pray it works. Haha.
Believe me, I know! Last July I blew a banshee motor, Ruined the plow quad and my leg, and had the water heater go in the same day. (There's my dumb ass on crutches trying to change it that night) Haha.
