  1. ride it till it breaks. and when you ride it.. try and break it... GoFast Racing slogan.
  2. Recently decided to rebuild My Shee. After removing Pistons I noticed the connecting rods have play on the crank. Not up or down but only side to side on the crank bearing they dont wiggle like they are loose they just slide a little back and forth. Is this normal before i put everything back together? ps the movement is less then 1/16" in each direction. both cylinders have exact same amount of movement. Thanks Anthony
  3. all depends on what alltitude your at, what fuel you want to run and where you want to be compression wise.
  4. Ive got a few mods . 33pwk Carbs, cool head (Pump Gas) Power reeds.etc. So I think Ill go with the new pistons to make sure im Not going to have to take the thing apart again. + I run the thing like its stolen. And I may be changing the domes again to run race gas while its apart. Thanks Anthony
  5. lol im no redneck. I think Ill do that. Im .50 over now what should I step it up to as far as bore size and what should I expect price wise for machine work? Thanks Anthony
  6. Well I was riding my shee a few weeks back when all of a sudden it died on me then refused to kick over. I thought I threw a rod or something since it seemed that the engine was seized. So I trailered it home and removed the Cylinder head, The pistons seemed fine so I then removed the exhaust to take a peek at through the ports. Everything seemed ok in there. With the head off the assembly roated freely. I got a tip form someone to check the flywheel side to see if everything was in tact. Sure enough the woodroff key sheered off and the flywheel had wigelled out. That would explain no spark and the engine being "stuck" I threw the head back on and left it for a week or two. When I went back to fix the flywheel prob the engine had been "stuck again" i removed the head and found that because some antifreeze had leeked into the cylinders during my first dissasemble there was a thin line of rust on my cylinder walls. So now its time, Remove and rebuild, Ill start by removing the carbs and just taking it step by step to remove the jugs and Ill have my local shop Hone everything for me . Im reinstalling my old pistons since they only have 20 or so hours on them. but I will obviously do bearings and rings. Anything else you think I should know please add. Thanks Anthony
  7. ILL TAKE $3,000 But first Ill check out the flywheel. Sound like a good theory.
  8. still no spark after my shee died. After some drag racing my engine died. When I went to kick it back over the kick starter seemed like it was stuck and like the engine was seized. When I got home I removed the head and everything rotated freely again. I checked to see if the rings got caught or if there was any damage on the cylinder walls. Everything checked out ok. I put new O-rings in and put everything back together. Now it kicks over fine but I have no spark. What could have caused this and what are some thigns I can check to fix this problem. Just bought a new car and If I cant get this thing fixed Ill just sell. So advice or offers would be entertained. Thanks Anthony
  9. Well its not seized anymore. and when i had the head off it showed no sign of any damage on the cylinder walls. But it sounds like this is what may have happened. would this have damaged something permanantly were it wouldnt get spark. because thats why it wont start now.
  10. yea still no spark hellp appreciated
  11. well after some hard riding the motor just died. when i went to kick it back over, the kick starter was stuck and it seemed like the engine was seized. I went home and removed the Head and now everything is spinning freely with no signs of wear or problems on the cylinder walls. I put new orings on and put the head back on. Now I can kick it over again but it woudnt start. I checked for spark and there is none. So if it died because my spark was gone what made it seem like it was seized. Please help I want to get this straightened out b4 this weekend. Thanks Anthony
  12. Well I put it back together yest. and now I dont have spark. I tried new plugs and still nothing. What could this be?
  13. Well I inspected the walls and everything seems to be "A" ok. I got all new Orings and Im going to reassemble today. I also got a larger Main jet So hopefully this wont happen again.
  14. well if the ring caught then it wouldnt turn even when the head was off right. Now that I took the head off nothing seems to be wrong. it spins and seems like its making seal when it passes the ports. could it have overheated?
  15. After some hard riding Today My bike died It didnt smoke or Break it just turned off. on me then i couldnt kick it over. it seemed like i blew a rod or somethin because the kick start was stuck so i put in neutral and put it back ont he truck . when I got home I took off the head and the pistons seam to be fine. Also the rotating assembly spins fine now with the kick start and it seems like everything is fine. Before I put the head back on is there something I should be checking for, that could have made the bike die. and then not be able to kick over? Thanks Anthony
  16. we have a similar set up I have 33pwk's My pilot is 52 and My screws are 1-3/4 out. starts 1st or second kick every time. I would go to 180 atleast on that main. i just jumped from 160 to a 178 and noticed a huge difference up top. I just ordered a 185 and well see how that goes. Considering your not to far off on the air screw and your pilot should be fine i would have to say the air leak would be the problem. Especially sicne it was starting fine b4 you had it apart. Whats your elevation? And how does it run once you get it started?
  17. In some places 91 is the highest rated octane. I know here on LI NY 93 is premium.

  21. you can run 21cc and still run pump gas at sea level 22cc also and even lower compression at sea level. 20cc will bring you to race gas.
  22. Got mine for $3000 with 2 sets of rear tires and alum rims and an extra set of front rims and tires. stock parts, new Hinson clutch basket and dirt digger clutch uninstalled. New domes and all gaskets and o-ring sets to do a complete rebuild. The bike had about 10 hours on the rebuild. just powdercoated with not a scratch on it. all billet. and every mod in my sig.
  23. I got one thanks
  24. Well to solve this Thread. I had the Flywheel off today and The timing is not adjustable and I will have to get a Timing plate. The Main jets were 165 and I went up 2 1/2 to 178 and It made a noticable difference on the top end. Im ordering the 185 and Will try them next. -Anthony
