If you want pm your cell and I can send you pics of the rig I use. It’s a lil unorthodox and I don’t feel like listening to the trolls. There’s more than one way to skin a cat

I get shit on at work for unorthodox methods. I get shit done, all that matters....

Nice, thanks man!  Looks very similar.  I'd be interested to see some hardness tests on the rollers and cages for comparison.  I will have to pick up a couple and do a visual inspection...

    Post the results  please.

First off... I'm not riding it and never said I was??? And secondly I've never once blown up a banshee or any bike of that matter.. I work on my banshee and keep it clean and running good as well as I do with my 450's and 250r. I purchased this bike very cheap to fix and flip for a small profit and came here for some advice and I said I already bought all that stuff or have it laying around already from previous blasters I've had just wanted opinions no need to assume things.

search for leak down tester, go to hardware store buy the shit, do the leak down test.

    report back

  4. I am going full asshole now

STOP FUCKING RIDING IT UNTIL YOU GET IT SORTED OUT!

you are going to roach the “fresh” top end

do the fucking leak down test first.

    best place to start from....

if you dont want to folow the advice here then stop posting and burn down your bike.

It’s a $1300 swing arm priced around half of the cost. They’re no longer made and won’t be. It’s near impossible to find these in stock length. This one has a carrier as well, just needs pivot bearings. But like I said I’ll let it sit forever or run it before I sell it for nothing. If you want to spend $300 go hit up the guys with the eBay knock off swing arms for that price range.

If it was in new condition than half the cost is a good deal

It needs bearings and powder /paint.

I, like most people, think your asking price isn't reasonable.

So then "fix it" and use it. You won't sell it for near your asking price.

I guess you could have asked more. I don’t have to sell it, I’ll let it sit forever lol

If it was reasonably priced I would be interested,

the fact that it is bare metal Is a good thing for me...

But there is a laeger and lone star swinger for sale local for $300 each with carrier.

My educated guess is crank seals or gaskets had an air leak and that’s what fried the other top end . So before you blow a new top end do th proper testing. Does it have the oil block off for the injection

#1 STOP RIDING IT until you fix the issues or you will be doing another top end.

#2 do a compression and leak down test.

    #3 report results here

  8. If the bike has any hours at all, the bores probably are out of round and tapered.

2 strokes are actually pretty forgiving with fresh rings on worn out bores, for a redneck repair it works. But it is a grenade waiting to go off. ( i am not saying it is an acceptable repair, just saying it can work)

besides, are you sure your bike is on the factory bore?

    Better, but still, no

You are moving up to a 4mm crank. You need the cylinders worked to get the port timing optimized for the extra stroke, domes cut to use stock cylinders and you won't be able to reuse the stock 64mm bores for long.

just get ahold of a site sponsor (I have been plugging driveline a LOT lately, this is the route i am taking on my bike next season) and have a REAL conversation as far as real use and expectations.

You will be very happy with the results.

If your going to pay anyone to do that stuff, support a sponsor on here that is helping keep the banshee game alive.  But if you not going to do that, id seriously invest in learning how to do that stuff yourself.  If youve never done it before it can be intimidating but there is really nothing to it for dis assembling a motor just keeping track of everything and organizing it, you could save your self 350 bucks to put towards motor mods next time.
