  1. Yep, your flywheel has two of those bumps. Check them both. Put the timing at zero, see if that fixes things. 4 degrees will give you a noticeable bump from bottom to mid RPM ranges, without effecting too much on the very top. It should not do what you're describing, So something isn't right. If the key is in right, everything is tight and the gap is correct, it's a bad stator or bad flywheel.
  2. What else was done? Can you check the resistance on the stator? OEM stator or aftermarket? Cut the air gap down to .015 to .018. Make sure you measure both timing spots on the flywheel.
  3. What kind of puller did you use for the flywheel? Screw in or jaw type? Are you sure you lined up the keyway when you put the flywheel back on? Smashed wires (as mentioned above).
  4. While I've never had a bad buying experience with him, I can understand others have. That being said, if you did this transaction in person, you have to shoulder most, if not all of the blame for not doing a better job inspecting them. Takes more time to get out of your car than it would be to flip them over and look at both sides.
  5. I put my second one on ebay. This one has a little piece of plastic missing from the right speaker...but I will honer the prices above. 125 shipped via PayPal gift or 225 shipped for the pair. Pictures up for the second one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271139201548?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  6. Put 27.5 pilots in there. I can't see any bigger than that with using the stock air box, even with all those holes in it. Here's how you adjust the air screws. Warm the bike up (yes...I get that's tough to do as is now...but you have to adjust air screws with a warm motor). Turn the air screws all the way in, lightly, then 1 full turn out on each. Once it's at a steady idle (you may have to turn the idle up just a hair) turn each screw out 1/2 a turn and wait 30 to 40 seconds. It takes that long for the adjustment to take place. Keep turning the air screws out 1/2 turn at a time until you get the highest possible idle. If you keep turning the air screws out..and nothing is happening, your pilot it too big. If you end up with less than .5 turns out, your pilot is too big. If you go past 2.5 turns out, your pilot is too small. Now, this is taking into effect that everything else is put together properly. IN other words, the right carb bowl is on the correct carb, the slides are in the right carb, they're synced properly and the choke tube is in place. Stock carbs flow the pilot circuit pretty well. I'd be surprised if you needed to go past a 27.5 to be honest. Please, give it 30 seconds to a minute for the air screw settings to take effect, it's not an instant change in rpm or tone.
  7. In late 2011, HP got into the tablet market...and quickly got out. What once retailed for 500 or 600 bucks (16Gb model or 32Gb model) went on a fire sale for 100 or 150 bucks. I got 3 of these tablets at firesale pricing. I sold one last year to a friend. I got a new tablet for Christmas as did my boy...so I have two, used but in good shape HP Touchpad tablets. I have one on ebay, but I'll sell both/either to a member for a better price if you gift me the funds via paypal. 120 shipped each, or if you want them both I'll do $225 shipped for the pair. Again, PayPal gifted only. If you're a local MI homie, 100 cash pick up at my house. This is one of my ebay postings. They are both the same. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271136911492?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 PM me if you're interested... I have them both factory wiped, clean and ready to go.
  8. See what I mean, self sustaining, top shelf entertainment. From anyone else, that's a valid question. From a top notch tuner like yourself, that should be common knowledge. If it's such and easy question, why ask it, why not answer it yourself? I'll be happy to help. This is all the help you'll ever need: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+do+I+pull+my+head+out+of+my+ass%3F
  9. So...you're saying you do know Mat Shearer because he's so far in your mouth? Ok...that makes sense now. Point is, Gumby, You sure acted like Mat was a good friend of yours, you were going to build this killer fast motor, we don't know shit, how to tune, etc. Now, that's changed a whole bunch...He's just having a crank redone for you, fixed the trans and cut/sold you some domes. That's a BIG turn around from before. I did say, back then, you could quote me...you'd never have a motor built by him. And I was right. Next, you'll be running your mouth about Mat like you did about your "friend" Kevin @ HJR. That's ok, Mat will take your money and laugh at you once you leave as well. Keep going....every village needs an idiot. No audition necessary for you.
  10. LOL....Crystal Clear.. You and I both know how this originally started, and that was not the original case. I'm sure, like the rest of us, Mat sees how this is going to turn out....
  11. Joe... If I ever need durability testing on anything... You're my man. You could break a titanium brick.... Lol. Fair enough John... I've raced with Rich for a long time ( guy is like a rock star... You KNOW he's partied a time or two in his day.. Lol) Never heard of issues like that. Shut happens. Good value for the price... However, if your gonna build a motor that needs a longer arm... I suppose another 100 to 150 to go round House is really in your best interest. I'm lucky to have wheelman 5 minutes away...
  12. Windy... Who do you know that broke an ebay swingarm from the swingarm shop? Rich Wood is a fellow racer and he sells a lot of them. That doesn't make them better or worse, and there are plenty of fabricators on the site that can do a nice job for a great price as well (Obviously I'd use a roundhouse 100X before I went back to stock style)... But who do you know that broke one? And yes...hate to say it, 1 year warranty is pretty good on an aftermarket part like that. I realize JJ&A has great warranties on their parts, especially their axles. But for aftermarket stuff that is used and abused...1 year is pretty good. I'm just curious who had the arm, for how long and what did Rich do?
  13. This is what i've always used.....or monkey snot as we call it. Use very sparingly and twist the grip as you put it on to event it out. Let it setup and dry over 24 hours. Use a small bead of RTV where the grip meets the bar to keep dirt and moisture out.
  14. I like the idea of these as well. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a flywheel come loose at the track because of an adjustment made. This solves that... Jeff, do you think you can "modisize" the slots enough to get another 2-3 degrees out of it?
  15. No problem believing that Matt. But you know as well as I do, all the shit he said in the original thread, Mat's gonna set it up right, he's going to take care of this, make it run like it should, etc. Thread is deleted now, has been for a while, but you know as well as I do all the talking gumby did. So for a blown up, wasted motor... It needed pistons, we already knew that and it was in the posting. After 3-4 years of racing, it needed the crank to be rebuilt... I have no problem believing that. There is NO WAY anyone could tell you what a crank looked like without tearing a motor down, and as said, it was running hard when it was shipped to him. And the transmission has thousands, yes thousands of passes on it over the 4 years I owned it and 2 years Chris owned it. Shifted fine the whole time. Did it probably have wear on it that Mat thought was prudent to have repaired since it was torn down? I have absolutely doubts about it. He also said the crank was rebuilt a few times. Flat out, outright lie. My buddy Evan welded the crank up right, all the way around the pin, not just a top and bottom weld like most do....it was done before the crank was ever put in the bike, and it has never been redone since. That's a far cry from the pan handling and accusations gumby has made. That's a worn, used drag motor. NOT A blown up, poorly tuned pile of shit. I guess if you want a brand new motor, you buy a brand new motor, not a well known, good running motor with lots of seasons on it. I absolutely have no doubt Mat did a few things, cut domes he was comfortable running, etc. You could have 10 different builders use ten different style and design domes. And since gumby asked a bunch of builders to cut pump gas domes, yes pump gas, yes..it would absolutely need new domes from what it came with. This would have never gotten this far if he took this another way. Instead, he ran his mouth...threatened Chris, so Chris told him to get bent. I could care less about what the cat says or does. However, bring my name into things, and I'll respond. Funny thing is he asked me all about a motor I sold two years prior...he didn't even buy the motor from me. He kept asking Kevin about it....Who only did port work, degreed it in and case matching/stuffing. And kept asking, and asking, and asking. When he didn't get a brand new motor for a used price...his panties got twisted up. Boo hoo.
  16. Likewise if you head out to the Midwest. Should be noted, since YOU called me a keyboard tough guy... Not once did I threaten your buddy. Just called him out as the fake, liar and cheat that he is. However... That's a standing offer if you decide to travel east... Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 2
  17. That's cute. I only have one question...who's pitching, who's catching? Oh, you're both switch hitters...cool. You either don't know the history...or you're as smart as Possum. For your sake, I hope it's the first part. Nope, we're good. Possum ran his mouth, lied, got caught, lied more, ran his mouth more...and made the mistake of bringing myself and friends of mine into it. So...if calling him out is a hobby, yep, I've found mine. Yeah, lucky you. Some people have a hard time acting ignorant and being bold face liars....for you, however....you pull it off like second nature. Lucky you indeed.
  18. Ok...that might be the funniest thing you ever said. For once, just this once....I'm going to give you props for that one.
  19. Yes, because that proves they are yours. That's cool, I can play that game too. Here's my crib and my homies that pulled up in our Lambos. the Hoes were en route. I mean...I got pictures, that means they're mine...right?
  20. Translation I have to run by dad's with my camera...
  21. Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. Those welds on that frame were works of art. Wait...your dad must have done them. If that's what you call skill, I'm Warren Buffet. You think your opinion or existence warrants any kind of anger from me? Please. Again giving yourself too much credit. You can, however...take credit. You've earned it. It's not every day a forum sees a lying jack ass of your magnitude. You sir..have earned that credit all on your own.
  22. Point being...you're taking credit for your dad's work. I doubt you could figure out how to clean whitewalls. I have no doubt your father is very skilled at what he does. You on the other hand, leave no doubt you don't know Jack Shit...and Jack just left town.
  23. This was YOUR post from #27. hes still mad that i put his friend/site sponsor wheelman and dajoger on blast for sellin me a junk blown up motor that i just completley rebuilt. and he knows im right so hes still tryin to make it seem to u guys im an idiot. but me and him and a few others know the truth. So...tell me again who's butt hurt? If that motor was blown up...there are dozens of people who saw it run hard the weekend before he pulled it from a chassis and mailed it to you. So once again, you're called out. You rebuilt it? You mean Matt did everything for you, and you assembled it...(which, is a joke in itself). That "junk, blown up" motor ran better than anything you've ever had, and anything you'll ever "assemble". Prove me wrong turbo...cause it's not going to be shit running pump gas. Or did the 20th builder you talk to finally sink in that you don't put a drag motor on pump gas? I haven't posted shit in your threads, I don't need to...you've clowned yourself so many times, I'd be surprised if you don't shit rubber, red noses. You don't need anyone to show what an idiot you are...you've done such a fine job yourself. However, you brought my name into it. So...again, you're too stupid to understand why I have to say something. So once again, on your part....FAIL. Really...one car is yours and one is your dads? Would you like me to post who the plates in those pictures are registered to? Address and name? Care to change you tune on that one as well?
  24. Yeah, that's exactly what you said. Fail.
  25. How did I miss this gem. I guess I was wrong all along. You can top horseshit with whipped cream. or in this case, shit welds with enough powder coat. You can take pictures of your dad's car, your dad's house and your dad's stuff all you want and call it your own. Anyone with half a brain can see through your BS. Can't wait for the first time you post on here, if you EVER get that 10 mil done, on what went wrong and why did you blow it up. Then again, neutering a 10 mil cub motor for pump gas so a smart guy like you can handle it probably isn't such a bad idea. You didn't clown me, or Wheelman, or anyone but yourself. And all you keep on doing is proving it over, and over and over again. Want MORE proof? Bad mouth the shit out of HJR on a public forum.....then bring him 3 motors to do for you. How much more of a clown can you be? Carry on...
