  1. If you don't want to piece your own together, Bob @ R&B Racing sells one already made. His name on here is machwon, or you can call him @ 517-388-3662
  2. C'mon...someone wants some nice Shearer drag pipes....they're on ebay...but I'd rather sell them to a PS or HQ member.... Bumpski....
  3. I've tried that...and to be 100% honest, I've had better luck getting the gunk off with very fine scotch brite pads or steel wool and WD40... I've used that in a pinch, though....
  4. forgetabouit.... badda bing badda boom.
  5. Funny you should mention that...my pops has been a Teamster for over 20 years, and knows Hoffa Jr....
  6. Nah... It's free to cut/shorten/weld mine....and I'll pickup a chromed stocker for cheap. Everything on the motor is PC or billet, everything on the chassis is PC or Chrome...
  7. e. What timing do they like? My biggest question is this. Normally methanol is a 8 to 12% increase in HP. And it is half the price of race fuel, but you go through twice as much...so, equal to equal....you're getting that 8 to 12% increase and a cooler running engine. E85 isn't exactly too easy to find...it is cheaper than race fuel, but what kind of power gains can you expect? 30% can be increased I think without drilling jets...but, is the performance worth it...I guess it what I'm saying. Wes...on methanol, you don't go 50% bigger on the pilot circuits. Normally gas bikes that like say...45 or 48 pilots go to 52 to 55 pilots for meth...FYI.
  8. Right crank seal....yep, cases have to be split.
  9. I can tell you never dull and a very fine scothbrite pad with WD 40 can do wonders to clean up chrome.....
  10. Yep... I'm going to, just for giggles, have my buddy cut the end off and shorten it...then weld the kick tab back on. For normal riding, they're fine...but with an override....you can very easily bouce a shift and grab an extra gear by mistake...
  11. You must not have a pro-design billet shifter...that's the only billet shifter I've used...
  12. Me too...You can bolt up and bolt on roughly 45HP on one... Port jobs can vary...50 to 100 HP...
  13. Lucky dog...LOL... If you go stock stroke or 4 mil, all you need is cylinder, head, pistons, reeds and intakes. You'll have to get exhaust to fit small or large flange, I believe they make both flanges for the Cheetahs...depending on what you get. For 7 mil or bigger, you'll have to get your cases trenched....for the longer stroke. 4 mil cheetah is what I'd buy... However...you're in MI, we have 3 good sand drag tracks and Silver Lake...why don't you build a drag banshee? You have two others, one could be a trail, one a duner/partial drag bike and one a full on drag bike. Best of all worlds... If you decide to go one full out drag race, a DM Cylinder on methanol is the way to go. It's expensive....but, setup properly, you'd be able to beat 95% of the bikes out there...if not more. My next motor will be a 10 mil DM....
  14. Have fun, be careful...and remember, one thing at a time. Turn each screw all the way in lightly....then half turn out at a time. If you leave the bike running, wait 20 seconds for the "setting" to take effect...then ride. When you go from .5 to 2.5 out...go to the best running setting. Then, play with the needle.... Remember, the needle doesn't come into play until about 1/4 throttle....
  15. No...unless you go full on drag porting... A drag bike without an override is a joke... Mildly ported should be ok... Then again, if you port it and plan on drag racing a lot, a dunable override might be the ticket. Jeff from FAST has the toughest clutch I've used. From my stock motor in 05, 4 mil cub in 06 and my 10 mil alky drag bike this year...I just can't break it...and it's within a few dollars of a regular old barnett or EBC. If you don't have a monster motor, 3HD and 3 stock springs, bigger HP motor, all 6HD springs...
  16. I'd much rather sell them to someone on here... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=270165883256
  17. The bad part is...though, Rajun, a 40 to 45 HP 450 will beat a 40 to 45 HP banshee....
  18. My buddy has a 564 Falicon/Nmotion kit for his 04...it is probably around 60...and that's a LOT of motor....
  19. You can if you want...but I know how cramped it gets. Doesn't really matter....
  20. There are all kinds of topics covering this exact subject. You will be much better off with a set of ported stock cylinders....there is simply no low end on cub cylinders. If you have the money, build a Cheetah motor. Similar in characteristics to a cub, but it has powervalves. A stock stroke cheetah will walk those four strokes, and still be more manageable in the trails. But...you'll be buying new intakes, new head, new reeds, etc. Plus...you'll need a better tranny with a cub or cheetah, trust me... You can do all you want to do with a good set of ported stockers....at 1/3 of the cost. Straight trails are just not the same as a drag strip or the dunes...because at the end of the straight, well...you're still in the trails.
  21. You're close...probably need to check two things...make sure the slides are sync'd, I think they are based on your post. The other is play with the air screws. From .5 turns out from the lightly seated position, to 2.5 turns out... Wait 20 seconds between rides to let the new air screw setting take effect. If it needs more than 2.5 turns out, you need a smaller pilot (which, I doubt will be the case...and stock 25 is the smallest you can get)...if less than 1.0 or .5 turns out....bump the pilots. With T6 pipes and still running an air box with a holey lid, I doubt you'll need bigger pilots. Fiddle with the air screw...
  22. HRC kit on a new bike, 06 or 07 motor...probably low to mid 40s. Probably a few ponies on that fuel...if it's tuned right. Cajun, the 04 and 05 450Rs had a detuned and I believe smaller motor, in 06 they got the real deal dirt bike motor...it was a significant jump! It takes a LOT of money to get a 450 to 60HP. Can be done...but as always, not nearly as easy as a shee. That being said...a 60HP 450 is an absolute blast to ride!!!
  23. Sure you can...race me on a trail....I don't stand a chance....  KSK... What are all your mods, your riding elevation and temperatures? What jetting do you currently have. I'm sure we can get you safely close...until you have room to run.
  24. Beat me to it...
  25. Need 3/4 quarter gears for a banshee tranny (it's the third and 4th gear cluster) Let me know what you got...
