I am with you , usually I would give the cop the benefit of the doubt. BUT By what they are showing on TV the cop is a complete moron. Maybe we will find out there is more to the story. If not

Helldiver probably still dosen't know where to get his work done. I have had great luck with Dave Moore Racing, Formerly MP Racing. Tell him what you want he builds to suit. Power and RELIABILITY. Davemooreracing.com

I think it has alot to do with your set up. I have a freind with a 2 into 1 and the moto/tt port from trinity and it is real strong. I have a play race ported 370 by DAVE MOORE with STOCK carbs and I out weigh the guy by 40-50 lbs and when we race its a toss up. Other than my buddy I personally havent come across any 2 into one setups that out preform me. I am set up for motoX and X Country. The only time I really get beat is by Straight up Drag racers always with larger twin carbs. Just adding a single carb to your setup IMO dosent make a Hugh difference. Pipes and Port work are the best money spent after good suspension.

Squish is the area of the combustion chamber that comes closest to the piston normally the outside perimeter of the combustion chamber. I am no expert but I do know tighter squish can improve performance however to tight and I beleive performance and cooling (Quench?) is negativly effected. I am sure some one on here has more info than I.

Banshee Running Real Crappy (Need Help ASAP)
brilei5 replied to Infamous039's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
J madd is correct. If you swiched around the plug wires and the problem stayed on the left it cannot be ignition. If it were it would follow the bad wire.It is probably NOT the air filter that should effect both sides unless you have individuel clamp ons. I would swap carbs first then reeds. You will need a longer choke tube for the test. but they will swap. If its not spark and its not air it HAS to be Fuel related i.e. carb reeds -
I also have had good luck with TCS. Good communication. Fast service. However that price may be out dated. I just had mine done a month ago. For a rebuild, revalve and respring for my weight and shorter swing arm 325. Which is about the going rate. BTW the stocker is not junk. Ohlins makes it.

Banshee Running Real Crappy (Need Help ASAP)
brilei5 replied to Infamous039's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It is possibly a stuck or way out of adjustment float. are the carbs in sync? Thats all I can think of carb related if you are sure they are clean. It could possibly be a reed problem also. -
I like the shift star mod. It shifts much easier. I think when poeple say it jumps out of gear what is happening is that with the mod, you dont have to put nearly as much pressure on it So, any little bump up or down on the shifter and it shifts like it should (right now). Where as before the mod you really need some pressure sometimes for it to shift, so you didn't have to be so concerned with bumping it a little bit.My .02.

Try soaking it in penetrating oil over night. That has worked for me e few times. No matter how clean I keep it, that bearing is always a bitch. Also you could try giving it a few good smacks with a dead blow like you would for a balljoint.

Thanks. That is what I am looking for.

I have not been able to find anyone who carries them. I have works triples. any info on if they are available and where to get them would be appreciated.

I f you need axle bearings or your carrier has any problems at all you my want to spend a little more and go with a round housing. It is a fantastic upgrade and I think QUICKSAND sells for around 500 carrier included. Just my.02 ~Brian~

If you sleeve it you dont have to go back to stock. There are always big bore sleeve kits. The labor should be no different and I beleive you can still bore big bore kits 3 to 4 times for rebuilds. You will also have to go to big bore domes,if you have a cool head, or have your stocker chambered. Cubs do seem to be the way to go though If you got the cash.

Need some help with a semi-stocker
brilei5 replied to TrickShee259's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
The jetting sounds close. Jetting however may not be the problem. are the carbs in sync? is the compression the same in the two ( is one down a bit). It seems to me banshees become more tempermental when its time for a rebuild. are they running the same fuel/oil mix? All I am saying is your jetting numbers sound close, you may need to look elsewhere. -
FASTOYS is right start with a compression check. Especially If its been a long time since a top end rebuid.

Even with a stud remover use penetrating oil and or some heat. Years ago when I did my NOSS Head Some of the threads came out of the jugs with the stud. Be careful! Good luck. Oh 10mm should fit BTW.

SRP ram air reed cages from magic racing
brilei5 replied to jmoore's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If they come with Boysen reeds I would PASS. I had noticeably better performance with my ported cages and TDR Reeds. I had the RAD valve with thier reeds. An even better choice if you have the money are V Force. Better than the Stock cages and TDR reeds. My .02 -
ROX Riser is the slickest way to go. Sled guys use them mostly, but I am pretty sure thet are 7/8. With these you can really fine tune your bar posistion ie. foward, back and up. Do a google search for ROX riser and a few sites where you can buy them will pop up. GOOD LUCK I think they come anti vibe as well if you want.

Holeshot XCR fronts. very tough tire and great handling. XCT are rounder and taller than the XCR. I own both on two diferent quads. The only way I would go XCT over XCR is for a little more ground clearance. MY .02.

I took your advice and my frame looks almost as good as new. A coulps spots could use a second time around (areas like where my boots rub). Otherwise I am Very happy with the outcome. Thanks again.

I have my Shee torn apart donig a bunch of upgrades. Since it's down to the chassis I would like to shine up my three year old powdercoat. Its not beat up just dull in spots from normal wear and tear. I was thinking of just wet sanding it and buffing it with the polishing wheels for my drill. Anybody got any better ideas or tricks, or should my idea work out O K ?
