Ok guys I finalized all the chapters last night so all I need to do now is burn it to DVD and mail it off to those guys to take a look at them so hopefully I can get them their copies this week! Hopefully I'll get some good reviews from them and then I can finalize it and they'll be ready for you guys. I'll let you know shortly...
-
Yeah I started thinking about it and realized that afterwards...LOL Anyway, I ended up putting a silicon plug in it until the shop gets the plugs in. I do have a friend that can weld aluminum so I'll probably have him do that. Thanks guys
-
Hey Brian, I did that exact same thing a couple months ago. Did you use the aerosol spray can oil? It's really easy to put too much on. Now your banshee might run shitty because it will be rich...
-
Yeah I might just go ahead and do that. I ordered a couple new ones so I'll probably stick them in and then JB them in
-
Ok so why in the hizzzell would they do this??? My banshee started dripping oil very slowly, I thought it was just the shift shaft seal so planned to replace it later. I started to notice a very abnormal amount of oil accumulating on my air filter outerwear on the left side?? Took the cover off the sprocket side and come to find out there are little tiny aluminum plugs that are supposed to be stuffed in the 2 holes in the case where the shift fork rods are at. First of all, I learned something new... Second, why the hell did they do that when the rods actually go out the other side during disasembly anyway??? Third, I would assume (correct me if wrong) that in the long run if someone were dumb enough not to check and maintain their oil level, if the oil level dropped below those holes you could end up with a air leak in the case and have a major problem! At any rate, I found one plug but now I need to order another. What do you builders typically do with these holes, do you just use the plugs or do you epoxy them shut?

BOOBIES!! Did someone say BOOBIES??
-
Ok so you guys have peaked my interest, can this be watched online yet?? I looked on that website but couldn't seem to find it...
-
If I have time I'll throw a trailer together for you guys but not sure how soon. Spending all my time trying to finalize it so those guys can review it and let everyone know what they think.
-
You guys are gonna SHIT when you see this vid!!! Hehehehehe! Only a couple more days and I should have the rough draft ready to send off to Jeff, Lee and Brandon.

I have the terry cable also. I had a twist for the past 8 years and hadn't even ever used a thumb. I liked the twist a lot and once you get used to knowing that you need to be careful you tend to be alright. Never had any bad scares. Now I have both and I do like the thumb more for rippin around and up hills etc. but I LOVE the twist for longer rides or on trails.

Ok guys and gals, here's the deal... I'm trying an experiment with pictures as a part of my "How-To-Video" for Banshee rebuilds. I wanted to (and already had some requests...) add a little bit of excitement into it also. Here's what I need from anyone who is interested: Good Pictures of sexy girls: >on Banshees >in riding gear >in helmets Basically if it represents riding, Banshees, and hotties. I need it. NO NUDITY PLEASE SO if I end up using your pictures I'll send you a Video for free as a thank you! PM me and I'll get back with you later on with my email address. Thanks All!! Tate

Well I plan to look into it but as it stands right now the entire video together is about 2 hours long which equates to nearly 15-20 GB!! I'm trying to review it open mindedly so that I can find the long boring unimportant parts and slim them down but I also don't want to take too much out because the sole purpose of this is to help people see almost EVERYTHING being done in motion. You know how some people who have never hardly even changed the oil in their car are VERY hesitant to open up one of these machines even thought they are easy... So having that first hand look in action is valuable. That's kind of what I'm trying to get out of it but yeah, I'll look into maybe being able to export the files really small and make them down loadable but we'll see...

Oh yeah, I'm still pluggin on it as fast as I can. I got delayed because of memorial day but I got quite a bit done on it last night and I'm doing some more tonight. I'm almost done doing all the editing but I do need to film the carb sync still which I'm doing this weekend. Then I'll get that portion pulled off tape and splice it into one of the chapters. After that it's pretty much just a matter of shooting a disc off to Lee, Jeff (FAST), and Brandon (Mull Engineering) who have all agreed to review it and post a few comments. Once they review it and let me know if I should remove or add anything and I make the final changes it will be ready!! I'm trying to hurry so I'm hoping that within 2 weeks I'll have it ready for you guys.

Yeah I do, thanks, and I'm probably going to just try getting some race fuel now and then anyway and mix 50/50. I wish I could run race gas all the time :ermm: My bike really wakes up when I do...
-
Yep, sorry guys didn't notice the typo... it's definitely 270's. And yeah I planned on pulling the domes this weekend to check em out. That's kind of why I threw the question out there so that while I have them apart I could change if it seems necessary. Thanks for all the input guys!! Glad to know I'm usually thinking on the same track as most others.... Kinda show's ya that you might just know somethin'

Ok so I discussed this with the guys I rode with over memorial but wanted to throw the question out to everyone else. Keep in mind shee runs great right now but I'm wondering if I'm actually causing a little decrease in performance due to the following or not? I have 17cc domes in my Pro Design Cool head right now and I'm at 160psi in both cylinders @ elevation of 5280 (riding elevation is different). I'm only running 91 octane pump gas normally. ($$$$) Am I missing out on some potential performance that I may be able to gain back by putting my 20cc domes back in? Here's my mods and conditions: Stock stroke Medium port job with worm holes stock carbs dual K&N pods T5's 170 mains +4 timing Avg 70 deg outside temp. Riding Elevation: 7300' Thanks guys Tate

My weekend starts in about 1 hour suckas!!!! Can't wait to RIIIIIIIIDDDDEEEE bbbbring ding ding ding ding ding bbbbbbbring ding ding Hey but seriously I wish everyone a very safe and fun Memorial day and most of all don't forget what Memorial is really about! Please take a quick moment of silence sometime this weekend to think about all the men and women who died so you could speak your mind on this forum, ride quads, and be FREE! Later!! Tate

Oh and here is that other short vid, the hill doesn't look very impressive in the vid but it actually is pretty steep and fun but easy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFVAF_ZEYxQ&feature=user
-
Yeah I believe you guys when you say KP is better for sure, I just couldn't make it there last weekend. BUT I'm really leaning towards KP for memorial. I just need to work out a few issues with my wife and daughter. I don't know if my wife really wants to go and if she doesn't I wouldn't have anyone to watch my daughter while I'm out riding but I don't want to leave her behind... So we'll see, at any rate I'm pretty sure I'll be there! And yeah I'll probably meet up and follow you guys since I've never been there. I'll PM you once I know what's going on. What day and time are you guys headed up?
-
I'm working on getting the other vid up right now, it's really short and very similar to the one that "thumper" already posted but oh well...
-
Actually I'm pretty quiet myself...LOL so we'll both just shut up and ride huh?!
