  1. Ok Weirman- try turning the adjustment screw in all of the way, then start backing it out 1/4 of a turn at a time. Give that a shot. Another very well educated person who might be able to help you out is Dennis Packard from Packard Racing. His website is www.packardracing.com You can post on his website with your question, or give him a call, he knows all about Lectrons.
  2. You'll have to come ride sand mountain with me and my buddy some time. he got a port done from a machine shop down south. I'm curious to see how close of race it would be between you and him.
  3. Dunninshee, how do you like your port? Do you beat a lot of other ported shees when you ride sound mountian? I've never rode a ported banshee done by Lindsay Machine, I did ride my brothers old KX that Lindsay ported, it was fast as hell!
  4. LMAO I was waiting for someone to say something like that.
  5. Get yourself some wiesco pro-lite pistons and rebuild that top end!!
  6. Hell ya! Thats where I ride almost every week!
  7. Indeed. Thats what I did. I'm running 22x11x8 skat traks, they were bogging me down a little due to the size in the sand. I put a 13 tooth on the front, and damn i hook up good now! I think the cpi's had a bit to do with it to
  8. I think Rnbrad has had dibs on it for quiet a while. Maybe I will win it and get my $ back for the one i just bought
  9. You wont be dissappointed!
  10. It does sound like a gas problem. Did it have gas in it when you bought it? Were the carbs dirty when you cleaned them? Did you check the main fuel line? Make sure you clean the hell out of the carbs> take the main and pilot jets out, go to town with the carb cleaner! Make sure it has fresh gas and the lines arent gummed up. Mabye throw in some new plugs too.
  11. Locogato is 100% right. My bro has a Lectron, I have watched him work on it many times. Also on the main screw (power jet screw) you should not be turning it in whole turn incerments. Try turning it in 1/4 turn incerments. It wont be as drastic of change, hopefully you be able to get it dialed in that way. let us know.
  12. You wont go wrong with either of them. It just depends if you want to pay a few more $$.
  13. I dont think it would be too big, but hey there is only one way to find out!
  14. How much did Lindsay Machine charge you for your port?
  15. Hell ya! We should do some riding at the mountain sometime. I havent gone down this month yet, I went once last month but the weather sucked. I might try to go next sunday the 27th if the weather is decent. Damn $75.00 is a killer deal! The Lectron's are $300.00 a little on the pricey side.
  16. Right on I'm in riverton. I figured you were from utah by reading the lyndsy machine in your sig. Lindsay machine does awesome work!! Those Lectron carbs I was telling you about are made here in Utah by Dennis Packard out of Farmington. You should seroiusly check them out, my bro put one on his yfz, its awesome! Thats what I'm going to run as soon as I get my port. Do you ride at sand mountian Dunninshee?
  17. Just get some oversized injectors & the chip
  18. How does holding the throttle open give you a better reading?
  19. OOOOhhhh, you didnt just say that!! j/k I just want a diesel!! I have a 2002 gas dodge ram right now, I want a cummins or a powerstroke, havent decided one which one yet.
  20. Get a Cummins. J/k
  21. Well I ride at about 3000 elevation, so for my shee the 250 was a little rich. I am running 290's right now, with everything in my sig, my plugs are PERFECTLY Brown, but that is my shee. To me if you are running 280-300 mains with just your lid off, that sounds rediculously rich. But Hey, I'm no pro. Every banshee runs different and responds different to different mods. My advise to you Watkins is start with a little bigger main 250...and go from there...if it bogs down a little bit, your rich. Do a plug chop after wot and you will know where you are at.
  22. With the Lectron Carbs, the jetting is external. Its a screw on the top of the carb which you can richen or lean it up. If you are not able to dial it in with the screw you can change the needle postion still, that should give you more options to play with the screw.
  23. Yea, I saw them towing the ramp when i was at sand moutain last month. It looked pretty sweet. However, I never saw them the rest of the day after that.
