i appologize they are actually 34mm, but what kind of porting should be done to run this set up?

a friend of mine has the alba 36 mm carbs with the intake manifolds and boost bottle sold as a kit, brand new still in the box, for 200 bucks, about 600 from alba. my question is, is this a worth while while investment? I've got a +4mm stoker, bored 30 over v-force3 reeds, toomey t-5s, mild porting, and milled head (stock carbs) and pro-flow k&n filter set up. any opinions welcome, thanks

i know there is already a thread about this. I didn't want to steal the thread.. can you buy them or do you just have them done, and whats with the round carrier (aftremarket)?

prolly a dumb question, but ever since i got this installed it seems like it revs up really fast, just don't want to over rev. how do i know when it's close to it's limit, it just sounds totally different than it did before the stroker

yeah i think i could have reeled him in too but we were on a short gravel road i couldn't evan get into 6th gear we'll see on the ice in a week or so still breaking in the fresh stroker and top end then...

i have dumped a few bucks since then, 4mm stroker and ported more i'm not too worried anymore

no we weigh the same i'm pretty sure i can get him i just can't hook up, never raced him on asphalt that might be different

just curious if i should have been beating him or not. He's only got a pipe, jetting and an aftermarket cdi (extra 1000rpms), at the time i had toomey T5's reed spacers k&n filter, and mild port job

i'm with you on that hightemp mine is awesome, still only have about 1-2 hours on it though

i don't know what i'm basing my oppinion on but that seems high (180psi) is that with stock head? because i've got the same crank and mine was 152 psi on both, but that was before i evan started it after rebuilding it would that make a differance?? like the rings not being seated yet?? i don't really know i'm still new to 2-strokes

yeah i'm with zep right in front of the fuel shut off above the left side spark plug, mine had the same symptoms and unpluging the tors fixed it

i used to spank my buddies raptor with my shee, mostly stock, pipes, reed spacers, k&n filter

right now i'm running 93 octane pump gas with klotz R50 oil.. spacer is on top (thicker head gasket)

yeah jets are pretty cheap i got them for 2.50 each

i'm running 380 mains mild port/polish, 4mm stroker, bored 30 over, reed spacers, k/n filter with toomey t5's and runs perfect, still breaking it though haven't done the WOT 6th gear test yet

Right now i have a fresh 4mm stroker bored 30 over, mild port/ polish, toomey t5's, proflow/k&n filter set up, reed spacers,and barnet clutches... I'm thinking of a Noss head or V-force reeds, what do you guys think, can only afford one at this time which is more worth while or i'm open to other options too.. On the subject of the Noss head what domes are recommended with these mods I live between 0-600 feet above sea level thanks guys.. Brian

i just got my 4mm stroker together and it goes great (now that i figured out 300 main jets were way to small ) any way, i have stock head right now with a "stroker" head gasket, not sure if that is what you guys mean by spacer plate, but it was $52.00 i checked compression before i started it ,about 152psi for both sides haven't checked since rings have seated, very happy with it i can stand it up in 6th with no clutch love my shee
