  1. Me,Me, I'm here pick Me! Oct 8th 06 is my 21st bday maybe I'll get lucky!
  2. my buddy has a 03 or 04 ktm 65 with a bunch of extras. clean nice little bike hes wanting $1500 for it.........
  3. ltake the swingarm bolt out. remove the swingarm and the bearing should come right out with now prob.unless they are in bad shape that is.
  4. ok first about the revving...it's a 2 stroke not to mention it's a banshee they likes to be revved..as far as beating the bike I'm saying he may pull you (big weight issue). the bike weighs like 200 less than the quad and the rider weighs less than you. unless hes a shitty rider no doubt hes gonna start pulling you hard in about 3rd gear. get some porting done maybe even stroke the motor and other bolt ons, also get rid of the t6's and your gonna whoop his ass... the motor in my sig will stomp a 06 cr250 with pipe and v3's(on hard road after shifting up to fourth the banshee starts pulling him hard) just found that out a couple weeks ago. I also have a 00 cr125 that has a PC pipe & silencer with v-3's and the banshee just plays with it. have fun Josh
  5. i have the axel also, I've ran everything uner the sun besides lsr and im very impressed with it......there are no threads on the axel! you should have gotten 2 snap rings th locknut and the spacer that goes against the brake hub and the setup goes like this. brake side goes: Hub,spacer & snap-ring (Done) sprocket side goes: Sprocket-hub,axelnut(closed end against hub) then snap-ring you can not tighten this thing up until you have the snap rings on after that loosen the allen head on the nut and tighten it up if the threads start turning Wd does wonder tighten it up then tighten the allen head and test it out be sure to retorq the castle nuts on the end of the bubs and the axel nut after you ride for awhile....hope this helps Josj
  6. I just got off the phone with wiseco......they said that the kits they sell for banshees that come with 2 pistons are equally balanced....then they said the precision of thier pistons are so good that I would be safe replacing just one side because the diference in the weight would be slim to none, and told me to make sure i re-ring the other side and I should be good to go with no noticable difference... Josh
  7. yeah usually, I say...If you have to think about what to do, do what you think is right, that would be replacing both pistons, here in wv its just close to the shitty weather and was wanting to ride before it hit guess im down till next spring. thanks for all the info guys
  8. it kind of sucks..I would like to speak to Eric Gorr about this but considering.....hes gone! When He done my cylinders he said they were bored specifically for wiseco part# 513MO6500, so I guess thats the piston I need, I know wiseco makes different types of pistons I just didn't know if they make a different series of the same size bore of pistons. I'll probably end of calling wiseco myself and see what they have to say about the different weights of the pistons. my main priority is to not screw this crank up. I love me banshee but I love the girl more and if I have to drop $400 on another crank considering this one is brandnew then its bye bye banshee and a headache from yelling.
  9. yeah the cases are already split did that the day it happend, as far as shit getting in the crank. I didn't see nothing most of the piston went out the exhaust. i still got to flush it out though also the cylinders dont have a mark on them I noticed it was runing wierd so i shut it out but the damage was done, I've had 3 cranks go in the last year so if this vitos crank goes then its bye bye banshee. i run wiseco prolites .40 are all wisecos that are .40 over the same? the ones in it are 513mo6500. If it get to where i have to weigh the pistons to make sure then the hell with that i'll just replace both it will just take longer, tight on the cash right now and i hate to see a practically brandnew piston go to waste. thanks for the help! Josh
  10. yeah i figured that but also thought that since it was fairey new i would just re-ring the old piston and check it out... the shop said that i aboslutely could not do this but they don't know anything about banshees everything that know is basically from what i tell them.......
  11. up top... airbox is gone Wanting chrome grabby.
  12. nono noone said about boring or what not like stated above 5 rides on the motor 2 tanks of gas i still have th hone marks in the cylinders from where eric gorr done his work so needless to say the cylinders will be staying at .40 over. just need to know if i can just replace the side that leaned out and burnt a hole in the piston without having to replace the other side that is practically brandnew. the local shop says i have to replace them both but i disagree as long as you get the same size piston. I need an expert, loco, rippen, bigred350x? someone that is reputable.
  13. okok so the local shop argued with me that i cant just replace 1 piston without throwing the balance of my crank off so terefore I should replace them both, 5 rides on a motor and the bore is .40 over. Anybody know if there is any truth to this or would it be safe to just replace 1 side? thanks Josh
  14. Yeah, I reconsidered, kinda pissed off about the thing, its all brandnew! so, it would be smart to do it right. Unfortunately I'm the only one around here that really rides a banshee, all the rest are built for drag at the local strip, never see them in trails so I right now have the right to be called king of the hill(on a banshee) thanks for the info though guys should be back up in about 2 weeks. Josh
  15. I think i can get it all out without splitting the cases, Ill part it out before i split it open, most of the shit went out the exhaust anyway my pipe was full, just a little bit around te deck on the cases that i already got out.... also I dont runn a coolant bottle but the over flow looked like ole faithful.......
  16. Hauling ballss down the fire road and the right side cylinder leaned out and burnt a hole in the piston.......tore it apart trying to fine the causes and the only thing I found was the oring on the bottom of the coolhead dome blew.....exhaust smoke on cylinder and half the oring is gone anybody have this prob with the coolhead? also its a bummer the 5th ride on my motor now i have to put a new piston on the right side...would you guys re-ring the other side?, even considering its a new motor?...........I got lucky though no damage to the cylinder just got shit all down in the case on the crank. flush it out, new piston and orings and up and running again thanks Josh
  17. Craptor bar won't work....I have one of those wasteful peices of metal also.............box has no lid, snorkel, ect. It has some sort of adapter on it though for the k&N don't know who made it or where it came from was already on there when i got the bike.......Sorry no pic on anything but guaranteed to be exactly as described!
  18. ***Stock Carbs*** cable,2 sets of intakes, crossover, tors elim. kit. - $50 Stock head (pitted on one side) $10 Airbox w/ K&N - $15 1990 front brake system - $30 **Looking For** Stock Grab Bar Voltage Reg. Taillight. All Prices neg. and if you have something you would like to trade, lay it on me! Josh ALso have good feed back!
  19. I've heard the same thing about the 87's hauling ass, I don't think it would be true nothing major on the motor has been changed since it came out, I think it's just the guys in 87 wasn't ever used to having something that fast around IMO.......
  20. Been tying to get a throtle cable now for i guess 2 weeks........well I have had 6 different cables and am tired of this horse shit...I've ordered 3 cables from rocky mountain for this single carb and everytime I get either the stock tors cable or the cable for a twist throttle never a thumb cable...then I order 2 from local shop they give me the same BS...now they say I don't know what cable to get for it and get me a twist throttle kit and want me to pay $25 extra bucks to run a twist throttle that I didn't ask for in the 1st place...Does anybody have or know where I can get a new cable for a single banshee carb? thumb throttle type? nevermind Forgot About VITOS!
  21. hey banshee if that question was to me.........nope my clutches work flawlessly, when you pull the lever theey work no movement or anything pull the clutch and push it feeks like its in nuetral.also been running the same set of tusks for over a year, and believe me I slip the clutch alot riding around here.
  22. If it stalling out when you put it in first and jumping like you say, then your clutch is not disengaging like it should....I don't even worry about the arrows on the case think its a bunch of shit..I just adjust the perch all the way in and tighten the screw on the basket till it get all the play out ,you might want to try this, if its jumping like you say when you pop it in gear don't ride it, this could lead to some bad tranny problems, bent shift forks, gears, shift drum. If thats not the case already........
  23. Basically it all boils down to the type of riding you do,anybody can get on a quad and pinn it out to haul ass, as for that, the banshee should be the king, on the other hand if you like the woods and tight trails, than the 250r is the way to unless you plan on dumping a couple thousand into the banshee where as with the 250r has more useable power for this type of riding. I also am in the market for a 250r just because I have never owned one but I will say I'll never ever get rid of my banshee.................period!
  24. man, sounds like you do some of the same riding I do and that why I built my banshee the way I did PT Mids with a lightened flywheel works awesome these pipes couldn't be better for the type of riding I do, I can lug in 3rd allday in tight tight trails then just hit the throttle and it will clear its throat. ditch the stockers and get some pipes that will perform!
  25. hahaha... just messin guys, havnt seen any totally rediculous questions lately......
